Sweetums is up for pre-order on bbts and ee. I hope sales are incredible. @robogeek1973, I'm also curious about articulation, especially whether or not the mouth and eyelids are articulated - like the Palisades figure.
The BFS Fraggle wave 1 figures are supposedly on the water. Will we be getting them before the end of June?
Has anyone received the Super7 Sesame Street wave 2 figures yet? If so, how do they look compared to wave 1?
Preordered Sweetums! Love it. Did I miss that BBTS sold out Uncle and Pepe? I thought it was available just last week. I hope they did get good orders for those.
Thwipp!
I found the Yip Yip aliens today. They look great. Makes me want Count, Bert, and Ernie more now. Anyone have picks of those with the Diamond Select Muppets?

I got the second wave and I'm highly impressed. I liked wave 1 (especially the martians), but this wave is better in my opinion. I haven't opened any of them since I love the way they look carded, so my opinion may be skewed. Guy looks great and I love his bread accessory. Lefty is perfectly shady. Cookie Monster is actually quite large and I wasn't expecting that. The thing that impresses me most about Oscar is the paint. There is a nice wash to bring out his detail.
Overall I'm really happy with both waves. Hopefully we get more.

Here's a pic of the Sesame Street figures with a few of the Diamond Select Muppets. To me, they don't look too bad together. The scales and styles are a little different, but not way different.
@captaincracker Thanks for the info about wave 2. I'm excited to add them to my collection.
They do fit in well. I thought Bert and Ernie would be smaller than Scooter.
Thanks!

I think Deadly and Pepe have been sold out on bbts for the past several weeks, which I'm taking as a sign there is at least moderate interest in that set. I don't know how bbts determines how many extra figures to order when putting in their preorder totals to toy manufacturers. In this case, it looks like they didn't order enough initially and could have potentially sold more figures during this production period. I guess they didn't realize how many Muppet fans are procrastinators.
I also wonder if people are reluctant to preorder figures because of the 6-8 month+ waiting period for most figures. Since I usually order from bbts, who doesn't charge upfront, I don't mind the wait too much. But I can understand people not wanting to have a credit card on file to hold a preorder item or not wanting to put any money down upfront.
DST's pre-order policy has been the death of many figures I wanted. Buffy, Battlestar - I'm still salty about frikkin' Roslin.
Anyway, hope this one works out!
@schizm Our pre-order policy didn't kill those figures, a lack of retailer and consumer interest did. These are fairly niche properties we are dealing with -- if we didn't gauge pre-orders before going into full production on each figure, we would have gone out of business years ago, siting on mountains of unsold inventory.
For this particular line, pre-orders will make or break it. I highly recommend everyone pre-orders.
I just got a notification that bbts preorder of Statler and Waldorf is processing soon. Maybe that's an indication Deadly and Pepe will be processing soon, too? I noticed that several of the Diamond Select Muppet figure preorders are sold out, which I'm assuming is a good sign for the line.
My bbts shipment with the Super7 Sesame Street wave 2 figures is in FedEx purgatory. It was supposed to arrive yesterday, but the last update was in Mississippi over the weekend. Hopefully it shows up before too long.
@bills-all-day I hope you got your shipment in today. I may be biased, but I think the Sesame Street and Disney reaction waves are by far the best of any ip.
@captaincracker It arrived today! I agree that these Sesame Street figures are some of the best ReAction figures. Cookie Monster is bigger than I expected. I may do a little tweaking to add hands to Oscar and make Guy's chin a little longer. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how they look with my DST Muppets.
Jim Henson Idea Man is a beautiful documentary.
As a kid I never knew I was being raised by the ideas of Jim Henson and his team. As an adult I look back fondly and share my love for the Muppets with my family.

In this week's DST Q&A, DSTChuck mentioned that Crazy Harry could be re-issued, and work on the next Muppets after Sweetums and Robin would begin when Deadly and Pepe start shipping. The wording of his response this week seemed a little more positive about more figures than at the Showcase a month or so ago. Maybe Sweetums preorders have been really strong so far? Or, very likely, I'm reading too much into it.
@MSWord Do you know if Deadly and Pepe are still on track to ship this month?
Still waiting to hear any updates about the BFS Fraggle wave 1 figures. Maybe they'll be shipping this month? They were originally supposed to be out fall 2023.
@bills-all-day I think Deadly was too obscure and Pepe is too modern/disliked. Sweetums is a muppet people recognize.
