@thehotdogbear I get the idea here, but I would hate to see Sesame Street Ultimates.  Basically any other company would do a better job.  Big Bird would be $85.  Super Grover and Grover would be separate releases.  Ernie would come out and the line would be cancelled before we got Bert.  I love the idea of Ultimates and the figures usually look nice, but for something like Sesame Street I can only see 1 or 2 waves being made. I would still buy the characters that I want, but I would prefer a different company make SA Sesame Street figures.

@captaincracker I agree 100%, especially what you said about the figure releases. However, this may be the only company that is allowed to make Sesame Street figs and even if they lost the license right now, we wouldn't see anything for at least 2 years or more. I do hope they learn from their mistakes with at least the release structure, beacuse that really killed the Disney line.

@thehotdogbear @captaincracker I'm torn about Ultimates Sesame Street figures for the reasons you both mention. At $55 plus each, I would have trouble justify collecting as many figures as I'd want from the line. That's if the line made it past one or two waves. Still, I agree they are likely our best shot at getting articulated Sesame Street figures in scale with Palisades.

I'm still holding out hope that DST picks up the license to go with their Muppets figures because I think that would help the sustainability/longevity of both lines, and I'd love Sesame Street figures in that scale. The toy photography opportunities would be amazing.

Sesame Workshop is really the main decider on everything, I'm not sure how lenient they are with how things get done. Considering how much of a cultural significance Sesame Street has in pop culture, it is definitely odd that there haven't been any real action figures sooner.

Would love to see Diamond get the Sesame Street license. Maybe we could finally get something like the build-a-street bases that Palisades had planned

DST's March pre-orders go up tomorrow. Will the next Muppet figures be included? I obviously hope so!

Has anyone heard any updates about when the Fraggles wave 1 will ship? I really thought they would have started shipping by now.

Ok, no Muppets in DST's March pre-orders. Maybe the Fraggle Rock figures will ship this month? Maybe images of the Sesame Street ReAction wave 2 figures will get posted this month? I'm starting to lose faith that Muppety March will become a reality.

I believe the next pair of Muppets will be offered in late April, sorry, we've been working on getting the paint right.

@msword Thanks for the update. I understand and support waiting longer for a better product. I do hope y'all have already started work on the next set of figures after these ones because I hope you continue to release new figures regularly.  New figures every 6 or so months would be amazing! I'm excited to see what you'll be showing us in April (hopefully)!

Not sure who's after that, but on April 19th or sooner you will see the next set.

@msword Awesome! Thanks for the info!

Fewer than 10 days until we get to see DST's next Muppet figure release! I hope this one's sales are high enough to support several additional releases. I see that the Statler and Waldorf figures are back in stock, and there are several more packs on bbts and ee that show they'll be restocking this summer. I'm not sure how much the continued interest in the older figures increases the likelihood of new figures getting made, but I assume it helps some. Especially as the line is starting to delve into increasingly obscure characters, I assume future releases will need to be propt up by sales of older figures.

For the BFS Fraggle figures, on one or their recent FB posts, BFS said the wave 1 figures should be available in about 2 months. Apparently there was a factory issue that delayed shipping.

Unfortunately, the day after I posted that, they pushed it off another month because photography was not completed in time for the catalog. So the next Muppets set will go up for pre-order in late May. Sorry, all.

@msword bummer. At least it's not getting delayed for more painting, which I assume means it's finished. Is there a chance we see some images before solicitation next month, maybe during the DST Fan Showcase at the end of this month?

Unfortunately no, we did not have it in time for the taping, but it will be worth the wait.

I can't wait to see what the next Muppet offering is.

I finally shipped my loot and got the Emmet Otter set in.  I know it makes no sense, but I really like the set while also being disappointed in it.  It's just great to have these two characters in plastic, but they aren't the best looking muppets toys.  They look just like I expected and the size was a shock, even after reading about how big they are here.  I'm just really glad to have one of the best Christmas movies represented in my collection, but I think would have loved at least a little more detail in the sculpts and paint.
