Here's a review of the wave 1 Sesame Street ReAction figures. I definitely like them more than the stylized Mayhem ReAction figures, but I'm still torn about spending $20 each on these. I wish they were $10 or even $15.
Yeah, $20 is a bit much. But I'm a sucker for Sesame Street and the Muppets in general. 😆
Those look so good! I will be keeping these carded, but I'm going to get a second set of martians to open and play with.
It appears that Super7 is basically losing the Disney license. No more Muppet figures it seems, although Sesame Street is still in plans for more.
Veebs confirmed that the Boss Fight Studio Fraggle figures scale with the Palisades Muppets. He must have gotten early samples to review. So far, he's just posted a teaser shot of Matt. I was hoping they would be closer to the DST Muppet figures scale. Oh well, I'm still excited to get them. Hopefully, us pleebs will be getting these in hand soon!
I'm also hoping that the next Muppet figure is part of Diamond Select's pre-orders on Friday.
Not this month, but possibly next (late February).
Veebs posted a review of Gobo (and Matt yesterday). One of the his photos shows the Fraggle figures next to several Palisades Muppets. They look to scale pretty well with them, though I think they may work ok with DST's too. Based on the photo with Gobo next to Flange Doozer, he looks to be about the size of the DST Miss Piggy. A little too tall for DST but maybe slightly small for Palisades. Seems like they found a pretty good sweet spot.
@MSWord Now, I'm excited for end of February!
Looks like they scale perfectly with Palisades to me.
Veebs and Andrew Franks, from BFS, talk about the Fraggle figures at the beginning of the below video. At the end of the section, Andrew shows some factory samples of the wave 2 figures. I didn't realize they were so far along in production. They look great! Sprocket is huge!
@scottg10 You're right, they definitely scale perfectly with Palisades.
Other than Mokey the looks are based on original Fraggle Rock right not the new show? I've only watched the original.
@bills-all-day I don't have the patience to sit through interviews like that, but thanks for pointing out the Sprocket sample. It looks so damn good and I love the eyebrows!
I didn’t get to watch Fraggle Rock as a kid because we didn’t have cable, yet I’m so excited to add more Muppety-goodness in the vein as Palisades to my collection. These figures are amazing!
I think Sprocket is my favorite, I’m a sucker for dog action figures and he appeared in both Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Family Christmas. I would love to have that test shot!
I'm all about Sprocket, but how's he supposed to fit with Palisades? The Fraggles are one thing, but that Sprocket is practically as big as Barkley from Sesame Street!
@normdapito Yeah, I thought Sprocket looked too big, too. Though, I am mostly basing that off of A Muppet Family Christmas where he doesn't seem much bigger than the other Muppets, including the Fraggles. Is he bigger in the new show?
@souled4 I think the other 4 main Fraggles are very similar between the old and new show. Apparently, Gobo is a little different, and this figure matches the new show. I'm not sure the difference. He looks how I remember him from the little I saw of the old show or specials.
I'm happy to hear they plan to make an old version of Mokey soon. Even though I don't have a ton of connection to the old look, I want a figure of how she looked in A Muppet Family Christmas because that's my definitive version of the Muppets.
I think I'm going to go all in except for new Mokey, since the old is what I want. Really glad we have these. I love all Henson but as a kid Fraggles were top. What an incredible universe they built.
Guess I should work on my Gorg costume. Maybe I'll be Junior for Halloween.
Or Doc!
