Just got a notice that my Rocketeer and Betty set shipped from BBTS.
Betty's thigh swivels, yeesh.
They look good otherwise.
Man I hope he eventually offers Rocketeer as a single release.  It looks nice.  I cannot pay these prices for a figure I don't want and I have zero interest in Bettie.
Opened mine today while enjoying my snow day. What a great set. I am a sucker for the Rocketeer and have pretty much every figure that's been released of him (that I know of) and this is my favorite. He's really solid too; I was worried that he might feel fragile but his joints are nice and tight. Betty is also a nice figure and a fun one to have. Can't wait until Grendel and Reuben Flagg get here.
Mine should be here next week.
hellpop, I also have a bunch of versions of the character, and when I have the space, they'll all go on a dedicated shelf together.
F***, he's awesome. Still wanna swap out his pack with Funko's, though. Hoping on minimal modding (though I actually have to GET this figure first, lol)...
I just got my set of Rocketeer and Bettie. I only took each out of the tray to test joints, and assemble the jetpack to him. After having three prior examples  of LooseCollector figures, I found that these feel more sturdy with firmer plastic and tighter joints. We’ll see in time how well they hold up. But the rocket and jet stream in particular feel much more rigid than similar set ups from something like ML (Toy Biz Nick Fury, Iron Man 2020/War Machine, Boba Fett). Everything is connected with longer than expected pegs, mostly ABS plastic (the hard stuff). I’m sure he’ll pose well on his own, and possibly even with Bettie in his arms. I’m also impressed with the range of motion in her legs, which can almost sit cross legged.Â
I’d love to see LC handle more pulp properties. How about John Carter of Mars and Deja Thoris?
…I can do better!
(full disclosure, Hydra Stomper would have fallen over in seconds if I wasn’t quick with the camera)
Joints are tight enough to support this pose easily, but the base won’t support it because center of balance can’t be adjusted. I had to obviously hold it, but it won’t stay like that on its own. At least I haven’t figured it out..
Great pics Norm. Thanks! I can't justify the price tag but that is looking real nice.Â
LC also showed the last 2 great wolves. Massive and articulation seemingly works well. I'll have to wait and see on those for now. The Vet/ William fills the werewolf void in my collection so far.
IMO, i prefer the head on funko Rocketeer but the torso is better on the new one.
