Well I'm out!

I'm a huge Simpsons fan so when I saw wave one of the 5" in a local store (a retail store not even a nerd store) I was "hell yes this is like the late 90's early 00's goodness". Plenty of stock got all 4 no problems happy days. Then wave two came Homer was a rerelease which I think was a good idea they had a few Krusty's and 1 Lisa so I grabbed them both and never saw them on shelves again, but no Moe, well that's not great, hopefully he will turn up at some point I think. Wave 3 nothing, never saw on shelves or anywhere I assume they never made it to my part of the world which is some real 90's shit right there. Wave 4 again nothing. Then wave 5 there are heaps of hockey Bart and a couple of Grandpas so I grab both of those but no sign of the other two. Anyway I'm in another town one day and go into a different branch of the same store and they have a huge amount of Simpson figures. Well when I say Simpsons figures I mean wave 1 an ungodly amount of hockey Bart a few grandpas and a single Troy and Edna, so anyway I finish my wave 5 and as it turns out my collection. But a couple of interesting things to really flesh out the 90's bullshit feel. They must be short packing figures, and we all loved that at the time and I assume the poor shop I went to must have put in orders for waves 3, 4 and 5 and they just eventually shipped the whole order as wave 5, which is again another bit of back in the day fun particularly in foreign territories.

I don't know if they have announced a wave 6 but at this point it doesn't matter I'm at the who cares anymore point. The only hole in my slightly odd collection is Marge and I would have to core family completed, unfortunately everybody else has had a similar idea and as the only ones to make it over here were the ones ordered by speciality stores, so they are all long gone or going for insane amounts so I probably wont even bother with that. I'm sure Jakks couldn't give a flying fuck, but I have had my little rant so we can now go our separate ways and not give each other another thought.
