My local Target finally got a restock of NECA stuff- probably its first in half a year or more. Oddly enough, the slightly farther Target that seems to get all the restocks was pretty barebones. Among the new stuff was- NBX Sally, American Werewolf in London 2 pack, Black and Red Jigsaw, M3gan, and a couple new TMNT things.

I had a small coupon, so I snagged the American Werewolf pack; been so long since I've seen the movie, but it's a nice set (if maybe a smiiidge on the boring side) and goes well with the Kessler Wolf. Jack's swappable pieces are all quite nice and appropriately gruesome, and thankfully it was probably the easiest time I've ever had swapping parts out. David is a little less interesting, but the alternate head is really nice. I wish they'd at least have come with some swappable hands or something, or maybe removable backpacks, as the attached ones can make them- David especially- a teensy bit top-heavy, even if it is hollow. Still, a nice set, and a nice addition to the display!

I also snagged the Ghouliana Toony Terrors. She's been at that Target for quite a while- the top was all dusty, but something was telling me to get her. Have no idea who she is or what she's from, but she toes that line of cute and creepy that I like. Was tempted by the black and red Jigsaw, but left him for now. I have the red one, and mostly just want a second to display both the Tobin Bell and the pig heads.

Hope it's not the last NECA restock I see in my area. Never did get the Hammer Dracula 'round these parts. Hoping the new Universal Monster releases don't see the same fate.

Went and saw Heart Eyes in theaters yesterday, and I really enjoyed it. Dumb, silly shlock that didn't take itself too seriously- basically a rom-com with a slasher in it. I left really hoping that NECA makes an Ultimate figure of Heart Eyes; I suppose it depends on how well the movie does; it's a rather simple design, ala John Carver, but striking in its own way, and could still make a pretty cool figure. Machete, knife, crossbow, throwing knives, lug wrench, alternate head with "glowing" eyes (just painted red), alternate bloody head, maybe a flag pole, etc.

Compare that to the furry toothpick that Syndicate Collectibles is putting out and calling it a Howling wolf.  Neca blows them out of the water.

Damn that looks spectacular. I don't need it enough to order off the site, but damn, that will be an insta-purchase.

I'll admit I was hoping it would come in slightly shorter than 9 inches tall,  but I guess if I display it hunched over it should mostly fit in with my display as I'm looking for.

That Howling figure looks great and long over due. I still like the Syndicate figure but this is more accurate. I might still get them both.

Very excited for The Howling Werewolf, but it looks like it comes with three pairs of nearly identical splayed hands, and no other options. Weird choice. I've gotten multiple NECA figures with extra hand options that seem pointlessly similar, but this is the most egregious so far.

Question about NECA D&D figures.  The flame effect for Warduke's sword feels like its way too tight and will strip off the sword's paint or break the sword if I force it.  I have the same issue with Elkhorn's dagger and its sheath.   Anyone have similar issues and a way to resolve them.

@ashtalon Heat 'em up and slide 'em on.  That's what I did with the flame effect for Warduke.  Use a hair dryer to get the effect piece good and soft.

I was considering the heat treatment.  Plastic feels brittle, so I wasn't sure if the heat treatment would work or somehow ruin it.  I don't care so much about the effect for Warduke's sword as much as Elkhorn's dagger/sheath.  I'll try a heat gun on it.

Was a bit of a NECA-tastic week for me here. Went to the mall the other day and got the scorched Xeno from Romulus, as well as the old Evil Dead 2 Hero Ash at a secondhand store. Been after that one for ages now, and finally found a pretty good price since the box was beaten up. Got Ardeth Bay from WalMart and found the new Beetlejuice at Target yesterday; can't wait to break these bad boys open- Ash has his work cut out for him!
