I wonder if it's the number of ninja figures available on the market now vs. when the first Kickstarter launched. It could also be the color. I haven't decided if I'm going to buy one yet, but I hope it gets made. The butterfly joints are a huge improvement.
I hope it gets made, but the main reason I'd buy one of these is for customs, and this is far from the colors I'd go for for those customs.
They did post on insta asking "If we could bring a "bargain ninja", a less accessorized "basic ninja" at a lower SRP to market, would you be interested? Asking for a friend." and I am 100% down for the idea. Would bring more appeal for army builder guys, cheaper price could help justify weirder colors, and if they reissued the arm/hand packs, less hands wouldn't be a problem. I hope that idea comes to fruition!
What’s the story on those skeletons I preordered last year?

The ones with the pumpkin head just had some issues fixed and are entering production now. Hoping to have them by Q1 2024 to ship to customers (per the IG page).
Regular skeletons are in the states and are shipping to retailers soon (if not on their way now).
I really want Consumed, and I will preorder him a little closer to the end of the month, though I am sad that it seems few others are going to. For me the color scheme is a big selling point. I love the Bruce Lee inspiration and something that pops on the shelf. I even picked up the discounted red arms just to go with him and I'll be bummed if he doesn't make it. I wonder if at the very least we could get a red head pack with the Oni heads to put on our other ninjas. Feels like something more folks might go for in the meantime.
That said, the improved torso is definitely something I was hoping for.

Thanks. Seems odd the team wouldn’t post stuff like that on their own website (or directly email updates), but alright.
Received my first Yokai Skeleton today. By my count, an impressive 46 PoA. Very light, but very well balanced. My fav head is the one it’s packaged with, the angry head with hinged jaw. Still waiting for the one with the pumpkin head. I dig it a lot.
Kagero up for pre-order on the store and at BBTS. Just put in for one. The price is a bit rough (as a collector- I totally get the pricing due to licensing, etc), but I'm really hoping this gets funded.
@normdapito It is so strange to me that there has been no mention of these guys on here. I see a few people with them on Instagram, but I have not seen anything from the Fwoosh team at all.

Yeah, that IS weird. It's a shame. They're not particularly remarkable, but they are pretty nice. If you have any Articulated Icons Ninjas, the quality is on par. The limbs are beefed up just a bit to make them more sturdy. The sculpt overall is great. I only have one, so I'm already displaying with the head I prefer, but the other heads are great too. One comes with some kind of tube or scroll in its mouth, like it's biting down on it. It's attached to the roof of the mouth. There's a head with devil horns, but it also has big tusks about the size of the devil horns, that I could have done without. There's one head with a closed mouth, also angry. There's another with an angrier expression, closed mouth. And one with the cranium removed to expose a brain.
Articulation is plentiful, with notable joints in the base of the neck, the middle of the spine, and where the spine connects to the pelvis. Not the kind of thing you'll see on a figure with all its organs, muscles, and skin intact. The one set of joints that I wish had more range is the knees. They bend more than 90, but won't bend to a squat or "kick its own ass". But the range in the hips can really get it into deep squat poses.
Paints are ok. It's got a dirty wash all over an almost olive or tan tinted bone base coat. I would definitely be on board with repaints or remold/recolors of cleaner white bones, maybe even a silver. As is, it's very gritty, as if it just dug out of its own grave.
I haven't swapped hands much, but the options are among three pairs: grips, open, and slightly less open. I might swap on the grips if I can think of some other fun accessories for it to mess with. I kinda wish clawing hands were included instead of the two similar sets of hands. Something more expressive and imposing. The knife and long sword are fine, but I'll probably donate them to my ninjas. I'm looking forward to the pumpkin head variation, still coming my way.
I would definitely buy more if there were more variants, but I don't know how much I can throw down for at full price. It's good quality, as I've come to expect from the Fwoosh's manufacturing endeavors. Its height lines up perfectly with other 6" lines. I'm overall really happy with it, but I feel like it will be even more impressive in numbers.
That’s a great breakdown, thank you NORM.
I ordered a case of 12 with the pumpkin heads. Allegedly they are delayed but still coming? I would have liked them for this year’s Halloween displays and pics, but I’m sure I can find a way to use them for Easter.
Got my 2 skellies from BBTS today and I'm exited to have them. I've had 4 of the first generation Revoltech skeletons for years, but they've gotten a little floppy over the years, so it's great to have more 6" scale skellies to add to the collection.
Thus far I have one regular articulated jaw skull on one and the horned skull on the other. I did play around with the exposed brain skull on one of them while testing out the joint tolerances and range. Had him sitting down poking the brain with the knife and he looked natural doing that.
BBTS had the regular Fwoosh skeleton for $32 yesterday. I had one in my cart with something else. Goofed around all day and went back to the cart, but the skeleton went back up to $40.
I have the one with the pumpkin head on preorder via Fwoosh. Was hoping to get one in hand before committing to more. I have two of the Boss Fight skeletons, but their torso articulation is rather limited. The Fwoosh one looks way better in that regard. $40 is just a bit too steep to get more than one of these. I would have liked the Power-Con glow in the dark one but I think it was $50.
If they get marked down at some point, I'll buy more. Between Mythic Legions, Storm, Boss Fight, and Fwoosh, we've gotten quite a few options for skeletons. I know there are Kulu and Ghost Rabbit ones as well. Lots of options.
This thread could use some pics.
Threw these guys into the display I have set up from my attempted Halloween pics that didn't happen, and grabbed the chairs for them to lounge in.

Thanks for that. I was admittedly a little worried when I saw the regular one in stock at BBTS, but my Pumpkin Head preorder nowhere to be found. 😳
