I'm a weird spot with Mythic Legions.  I've been burned out on the line for a while.  Still have 2 waves preordered.  The line is certainly improving in sculpts, paint, and articulation.  But I also have a ton of this line (a lot not even opened), so I'm having a hard time getting excited about anything.

That said, I really do like this Beasts wave.  A lot of goodness.  There's typically one figure in a wave which I don't really love, which is the character with the mini dragon.  Isn't very dynamic to me.  I do love snakemen in general, so this snakemen in this wave are certainly calling to me.   As well as the lion and the hyena to a lesser extent.

I'm not really looking forward to scrambling to get the legged snakemen next year.  Hopefully, they last long enough to grab a few.  2-4 legged snakemen along with a couple of the serpent body ones and the queen will make a nice serpentine force.  I don't mind them offering figures first at a show, if they make enough for people later on.  Limiting something down the road, especially something designed to be an army builder, isn't a good move.  Didn't like how limited they make their basic skeleton (even though they offered a 4-pk in a much less interesting/useful color scheme) so limited.  Hopefully they learned a bit of lesson and make plenty of this snakeman.

The dragon is really impressive.  The tail looks ultra-articulated.  The neck seems a bit more limited.  The footprint this thing is going to require looks to be significant between its length and wingspan.   I'm guessing it'll be ~$500.   I'm dreading the eventual repaints, which hopefully at least get new heads, unlike their dragon-man figures which all use the same exact head (for shame).  I imagine a red dragon would be most popular color, so of course they didn't start with it.  Sneaking some double dipping from people.

That dragon is AMAZING. I'd really love to own it, but I don't think I have the space for it. I think it's going to be tough for a lot of people to get 1 and put it somewhere in their home, nevermind an additional 4 that they apparently have planned.

The LegionsCon versions of the LegionsCon exclusives are up on Big Bad for $135 each

Which is an insane price, but if you want the extra parts and don’t live on the East Coast… eh! Whatchagunnado?! I do want that black haired Attlus and upper arms for the space suit so take my money I guess! Less painful than buying from LegionsShop at least!

and if you don’t $65 a piece love these figures, remember they’ll be available as singles with a few less accessories next year for a normal price

@doc-baghead Will they be available separately next year? I'm tempted to pick up the set (even at that obscene price) because I can make use of all the extra heads to make some of the more boring, helmeted figures in my collection more interesting (I always want more human or orc or cat-person heads for the generic figures) but that price is hefty. The cosmic legions two-pack is the same price and really all I want is a stripped down version fo the red-skinned human figure, not all the bells and whistles there, so I'm not paying triple the cost of one figure for that set. I could the tempted to get some mileage out of two good base figures and 2-3 extra heads to put on knights or helmeted barbarians though.

@jayjonah I don’t think that’s actually correct. They said the big dragon would only be available from the storehorsemen.com site, but I don’t recall anything of the sort being said for the Beasts wave. I imagine it will be available through all of their retailers, once the preorder window closes at the end of December.

@docsilence they will be sold separately but with less stuff, similar to Wal-torr and the Furious Four (or whatever their name was) in previous years

The Big Bad listing for the Mythic set shows the parts that come with the singles as part of the slide show.

It appears as if you don’t get the black haired Attlus with the “samurai”, and you don’t get the dwarf legs or dark bearded head with the monk

the Cosmic set is missing those slides on Big Bad but it looks like the photos were taken as they can be found on Source Horsemen (in the Cosmic subsection under special releases)

So the red human looks to be missing the red vampire face, and the snake fella is missing helmet and upper arms of the space suit.

So if you can live without those pieces, wait for the singles next year…

but me… I’ve been wanting a black haired Attlus for awhile now (considered repainting my Addamon head since the actual figure has Mayshelf custom He-Man head on it, but it’s too rare a piece to “destroy” like that) and I love the Cosmic Space Suit design and want it in as many colors as possible… so I gotta get the full sets just for the head and upper arms…

oh well, such is life!

So,that The Legend of Gasparr and Gawrychh set on BBTS...     $135 seems a tad high for two figures and it isn't something I'll be ordering.   But if there's anybody that does order it that does not want the Cat head I would love to take that off your hands.  I'd buy the tail too, but more interested in that head.   Just saying.

I thought that was in reference to the dragon itself, not the wave. I guess we'll see, unless someone asks them outright on one of their posts about the wave.

@salemcrow ahh, I totally misread his question.  I though he was asking about the dragon.  My mistake!

Considering folks had to purchase tickets to attend Legions Con on top of paying $99 for the exclusive two-packs, $135 doesn't seem too harsh to me. I'm just surprised they're up on BBTS so quick.

Pretty much sucks for anyone that bought multiples at Legions Con and thought they were gonna flip them for a nice profit.

@doc-baghead thanks for the details - I'm in the same boat as you with wanting those head swaps exclusive to the two pack (like the set improves at least two, maybe three figures I already own for me) so I want it even at the excessive price. I wish they offered it without the dwarf legs though. I really don't need swappable limbs anymore. But your info makes not getting the cosmic set a no-brainer. I lierally only want the baseline red-skinned humanoid and don't need any of his bells and whistles, don't even want the alien at all.
