So pre-orders are made-to-order then?  Sorry, I've never gotten in on one of these yet, but I do know the Figure Obscura stuff can sell out.

Yes, they're made to order. Even the FO figures get made to order recolors sold through retail shops like BBTS. As long as you place the order before the end date, you'll get the figures.

Excellent, thanks for getting a rookie up to speed.  I've come close on a few figures in the past, but never actually pulled the trigger yet...

Work was wild today and I wasn't fully registering all the news accurately. I didn't realize the dragon was a separate preorder from the new wave. That makes ordering a little simpler. I'm definitely in for a gnoll (I mean, he's totally a gnoll), Arraya because I've liked all their spellcasters so far and I am a sucker for a wizard with a familiar, and probably one of the human soldiers because I appreciate their unmasked face sculpts and 4H doesn't do enough of 'em. And I'm lying if I don't think I'll get an ogre-sized lion-man.

I think the snakes look lovely, but I may hold off and just see if I can't get some of those through BBTS later. I think artistically they're very cool but I'm not totally sold on them yet. The efreeti is pretty cool too, but I've had TERRIBLE luck with their figures with swappable torsos lately so I'm not sold yet.

Holy cow! Brand new bodies with much improved articulation and killer sculpts. I think I'm getting sucked back into 4H.

And that dragon... mind blown on that.

I'm mildly interested in the snake people, but nothing else.
As far as the dragon is concerned it's probably going to be more money than I want to spend on a single item... I'll bid $550, Bob.

The Creative Beast Ice Dragon is 10 inches tall and 31 inches long, it cost $230

the Horsemen’s Dragon is twice as tall, nearly twice as long (54 inches), and I have to assume  twice as wide…

there is no way that thing cost less than $750, I’m expecting it to cost more, especially when the tariffs hit.

My plan is if it cost over $1000 then I’ll just buy the accessory kit. It’s got the better head, it’s got a full neck, Gargoyles shaming full wings… I’ll just pretend the fucking dragon is hiding behind a wall or sticking it’s head through a window or something

I thought the "nearly six feet long" thing was including the flame effect and that the dragon itself was under four?

@cmoney the image on instagram says the flame is 16 inches while the dragon (tail fully out) is 54 inches long.

So nearly 6 feet with flame effect (I’m over 6 feet tall so I’ve walking around spreading my arms telling my wife “we could put the dragon here! Plenty of room!”) but the dragon itself is still 4 and a half feet long, though they’re promoting it as 31 inches if you curl the tail up

I can't see this thing going over $500, they actually want to sell the damn thing and anything more would turn away a lot of people on principal alone. Also, I think amount of paint and articulation would have more affect on cost over just straight size, especially if they rotocast the larger parts to keep them cheaper.

It might be $750 for the whole set and shipping included, but the base Dragon has to have a somewhat reasonable price tag.....I'd hope anyway.

I desperately want the dragon, but I think practicality will win out. I made similar heartbreaking decisions with the HasLab Sentinel and X-Men '97 Sentinel. Even on the short end, 31" is difficult to accommodate.

I could probably put it on top of my display cases, but that isn't how I want to appreciate it. Especially at the price, whatever it winds up being.

Like the Sentinels before it, I guess I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for a smaller version down the line.

They did mention they wanted to do smaller "Dragon-Like" mounts and such. Similar to how they've built a race of Dragon-like Ogre class figures, they'd be draconic but not actual dragons.
