Does Jeremy write the copy on the packaging? Because I've never been able to get through even that little bit of "prose."

Agreed that the 2.0 releases is a great idea, but I'm not 100% behind the execution so far. The releases seem to be getting increasingly elaborate. I think part of why I've been losing interest in the 4H offerings of late is that they're becoming too high end for my tastes. The new stuff looks really amazing, and is still a good/great value, but it feels less like buying a toy, and more like buying a Sideshow doll. The announced collaboration with Sideshow sort of brought that home for me.

In contrast, the Glyos crossover feels like a move in the right direction to me.

Yeah, I'd guess that thing is going to be at least $500. Just one leg is almost the size of the already massive troll. How much do those go for? Like $120?

I am genuinely relieved at how NOT overwhelming that wave is for me.   I legitmately think there are only two figures I want there.     Is the big Lion Leodyssues or Leandor,  I legitimately can't tell by the names.   I would have thought the former but it seems like it's the latter.

Regardless,   I'll order the big Lion guy and the snake warrior (Serpenspire Royal Guard) but not the quetzalcoatl winged snake thing (Bassylia).   Definitely don't need J'hennam and Arraya.    As for the Hyena guy (Mwindajii the cackler)  I'm not digging the lanky proportions or the hunched nature of that neck set up.   I like the heads,  but I'm not paying full figure price for just the heads I like.  And the roman soldier (I guess that's Leodysseus) is a pass.

I really thought by the description of this wave before it dropped I was going to be in danger.   I thought they'd go way further in on anthropomorphic cat folks -  since they've done a few nights and what not with Cat heads up to now.   But just the big lion dude.

I'll admit though,  that Dragon looks freaking fantastic and though I passed on all the recent HasLabs, I might be blowing that money on a pretty, pretty Dragon here...

I'm gonna guess $399 on the dragon. Doesn't really matter for me, seeing it tower over the troll just reinforces how I have no room for another giant item. It looks amazing, though.

I gotta say I'm not super excited about many of the reveals today. A lot of them seem "overdone." I really like the Cackler and the brown snake guy and we'll probably call it a day with those two. Maybe the Golden Pride, too.

I dipped my toe in the Mythic Legions pool a few years ago but pulled back out due to more QC issues than I was used to in other premium lines, but wow, an articulated dragon might pull me back in.  I love everything I'm seeing aside from the color; wish they would have done this guy in black.  Oh, and the lack of segmented wings might also turn me off of it. Maybe I'm not thinking about the engineering of wings thoroughly enough. Why do so many sculptors resort to one folded up set of wings and one fully extended set of wings as opposed to segments that can fold in and out?

I may ultimately decide I don't have the space for this, but for now I'm pumped.  😍 😍 😍

My guess on the wings is that the hinges are always very ugly.

@grumpymatt "Overdone" is a good description of how I feel about a lot of them. The 4H seemed to have lost their ability to edit designs down to something simpler and more iconic.

Now that I see the dragon alongside the other sized figures... yeah, 400 on the low end, probably 500, and at that size... I probably won't get it, and I've wanted a Mythic Legions dragon.

I'm one of the dopes who makes mistakes on Haslab based on storage, but out of the box Galactus can kinda just chill in the corner, the HISS tank was actually shelf-worthy, and... okay the Dragonfly I'm currently having agita about. This scale dragon will be too much unless I get one of my books optioned for TV before then.

The lion and hyena are really busy, but I'll probably pick them both up - their catfolk figures so far have been my favorite figures, and even at ogre scale I can manage one more. The snake folks are very pretty color-wise but not super appealing to me at the moment.

Not much interest in the RPG game since honestly, one of the things I like about ML is how freeform it is - I could run a Mythic Legions 5e campaign tomorrow if I wanted to! That being said, if they release some plastic minis at reasonable cost, I'd buy some to paint. Paint-worthy 28-32mm scale minis are my jam.

Oh, and let's not forget the promised 60% tariff on goods from China!

Infinite Legions: Mythic Legions as a licensed platform like Glyos. A very cool idea that really opens the door for some wild customization, but it will all depend on the strength of the other toy designers

I feel this needs to be clarified a bit. Infinite Legions isn't other companies making figures with Legions style figures, it's the 4H licensing other company's characters to make in their own house style using Legions parts. The first figure is that Glyos alien dude...made in the 4H Legions style and compatible builds. But they could also do stuff like an official Conan, or Death Dealer or He-Man or Power Lords all with Legions styling and compatibility. Other toy designers aren't creating the figures, they're just using officially licensed characters from other toy and IP companies.

I kinda agree with the story telling aspect of the franchise. I kinda just use the bones of the lore to help build my world, but I generally ignore the details and such and just make up my own.

I do feel their decision with the new 2.0 releases is somewhat doing what you prefer in that the specifically mentioned they didn't want the new Otho to be too over adorned or something. They actually mentioned how they could've given him giant intricate pauldrons or something but chose to stay as close to his original concept as possible. He looks like he's just the basic Valiant Knight body with some of the newer belts, the soft good tunic and some newer wave weapons. The only new molded parts seem to be the sword, the head...and possibly the neck as it looks like it might be a double ball jointed neck.

The dragon looks awesome!  Unfortunately, much like a Haslab, even if I did have the money, I don't have the space.

Thanks for the important clarification! This will make them more like the MOTU homages they've been doing all along, but now they'll be official.

I'm starting to come around on the snake tails. The Boss Fight gorgons have tails with similar lengths, they just have wider hips. The gorgon tail from Planetary Dog Toys is a static piece, but it only looks slightly longer because it puts ML figures closer to kneeling height instead of standing height.

Those that hated how big the NECA Gargoyles wings were I can’t imagine they’ll be happy about that dragon’s wingspan. Thankfully the base dragon seems to have the folded up wings, which is what NECA should have done.

These new furry bodies give me hopes of a werewolf in the Figura Obscura line now.

Well, that lion, hyena, and brown snake are very likely to become my first purchases from this line.  And we'll see how much they want for the dragon...

To that end: are these timed pre-orders?  Can I safely wait till after Xmas to order?  Or might they sell through by then?

@cmoney Pre-order for these guys ends December 29th I believe, so it's after Xmas...but not by much. But there is no limit so there's no worry about things selling out. It's a good 2 month-ish Pre-order, but I personally wish it lasted at least one more week. But since the Dragon goes up almost immediately right after, I guess they didn't wanna wait too long.

I've already decided the Dragon won't be joining my collection, but even the basic figures from this wave are both fairly large and kinda pricey. But I can certainly squeeze out enough budget for three of em. The hardest choice for me will be which snake person I want to grab, though if I have enough I'd happily grab both.
