Man... I did not need a wave like this that will be super tempting for me. The anthropomorphic figures are by far the hardest to resist for me.
I'm still not in love with 4H's articulation scheme, but I'm down bad for fantasy figures right now. This could be the year I finally pre-order some ML.
That’s sooner than I was expecting. I’m sure great beasts will show up in late 2025/earlier 2026. I’m interested.
Thwipp!
They said it will be a reveal unlike any other so I’m thinking they might go nuts and reveal all four beasts: 2.0 versions of Eathyron and Xylona, along with all new reveals of Leodysseus and Bassylia.
It may be wishful thinking since they went through the four horsemen one by one, but the name of the wave sounds all-encompassing and it sounds like might be a more-exciting-than-usual wave.

That's my guess, as well!
In other big news, the 4H announced that the Necronominus orders that were placed through Store Horsemen will be shipping from China in the next couple of days so they'll probably reach customers by late December/early January. All Stars 6 will go into production as soon as they wrap Necronominus and they're expecting that wave to ship from China in January.
Well, Reign of Beasts reveal is over. I'm on the fence for the snake people, but absolutely need that Gnoll. I think I'll grab the roman figure as well, to see how the new double joints work, and maybe mix and match with the vikings when they come out.
The snakes are neat, but they feel a little generic, and missing something that would lend them a bit more character, like a figure like Arrizak has. I don't really feel like I need a giant lion, as impressive as the figure is.
Really feels like they're reacting to all the other companies operating in the fantasy figure space right now, like Xesray, Savage Crucible, etc. And I'm ok with that.
This is both a good and bad time for me to get into Mythic Legions.
On the good side, the two things stopping me from going full-bore were the scale and the articulation. I can't complain about the scale anymore because the only figures on my newfound fantasy shelf are from NECA and 4H. If they're adding double-joints, I'm in real trouble.
On the bad side, I just cannot force myself to care about anthropomorphic creatures. I think I'm in the superminority on this one. You can show me 100 bipedal elephants in armor and none will interest me. The lion is very cool, but not something I want.
My fantasy display is D&D-based. While the Roman-inspired soldier is cool, it doesn't fit in my collection. The gnoll is my only temptation, but if I'm going to have 5-10 D&D villains on a shelf, a gnoll won't make the cut.
It's weird. After being a huge 4H fan for years, I'm just not into what they've been putting out lately. The proportions on the ogre scale releases just ruin figures that I would have been into. The arms on the lion guy just look so long, and the legs look so short.
The snake people aren't doing it for me either. I think it's how small the snake part of the bodies are. I liked the proportions on the Boss Fight snake people a lot better.
I do like the one with the dragon and the gladiator guy.
And this has me really excited:
The dragon looks impressive.
How much you reckon that dragon will cost, 200 bucks? More?
Beautiful figure but over 2 1/2 feet long and nearly 2 feet tall, holy hell.
I don't know how the dragon would be less than $300. I would venture closer to $500 at that scale and level of paint detail.
I never understand how people buy stuff like the HasLabs without knowing where they'll go first. I'm at risk of doing the same for that fucking dragon.
Dang, pretty amazing to see the dragon after all these years. And I love the pose in the background of the stream, very McF Dragons from all those years ago. I can't see the price being below $300 for this and $500 sounds more right, especially with the accessory set added on.
I can't decide if I preorder this or wait for a better color. Would also love a wyvern shaped dragon with a rider at some point (no forelegs, just wings and back legs).
It's really time to sell any of my Mythics and Cosmics that I'm not excited about, to create space and raise funds. It's time to purge!
The comparison shot (pic 3 in the post below) is pretty wild to see, and really brings this thing home in terms of scale and sculpt.
I was hoping they'd give us more time from the reveal before the pre-order, but this thing is going up in January after the newest wave's pre-order is over. Without even giving us an idea of it's price, it'll be hard to budget for it, and this won't be something you can just pick up someplace else when the mood suits you.
That said....it seems they plan on dropping at least four more comparable figures to this guy in the future. The Dragon Cultist lady isn't even a cultist for *this* Dragon.
There's a lot to digest so far!
Reign of the Beasts: I'm not really an anthro animal guy so I knew this wave would mostly be a miss for me. However, I was interested in Bassylia, but those snake tails feel relatively short to me. I know it's probably the length that it is for production and price point reasons, but it leaves me wanting more. I wish we could see the articulation in motion, but I know they won't be able to show that off until they get production samples back from the factory. I like the gnoll more than I thought I would so he might be my surprise purchase.
The art book: Cool for some, but not for me.
Sideshow partnership: Mythic Legions polystone statues maybe? Never been my jam.
Tabletop RPG: A potentially cool idea, although I'm guessing it'll be written by Jeremy Girard and I find his writing to be, well, kind of weak. I don't want to impugn his other abilities because I know he's done a ton for 4H marketing and it sounds like he even helps conceptualize some of the characters, but his prose is just clunky to read. It doesn't help that the mini fig samples they showed off were painted in a hurry so they came out a blurry mess.
Infinite Legions: Mythic Legions as a licensed platform like Glyos. A very cool idea that really opens the door for some wild customization, but it will all depend on the strength of the other toy designers.
Legacies of Mythoss: Everyone seems to love all of the 2.0 characters they've released so far so creating a subsidiary line dedicated to releasing more 2.0 figures seems like a great idea all around.
Dragon and accessory pack: It's what everyone has been asking for and they delivered a dragon so big, I don't think there exists a home-use display cabinet big enough to display it. I think you'd have to buy like a retail display cabinet and remove all of the shelves. I'm guessing with the additional accessory pack that it will be close to $300 and a big part of that will just be in absorbing the shipping costs.
And we still have an hour and a half of reveals to go!
