@justice Just get rid of that large cold box in your kitchen.  You don’t really need to eat, anyway. 😆

@detectivehoag after buying so many Legions right before all the SDCC stuff, all of the groceries I can afford fit in the pantry anyway. In the form of ramen.

Maybe it's just pareidolia, but the banner on sourcehorsemen.com announcing the new wave sure looks like it has an alien face on the left side.

Well, that's another Cosmic wave where I can save money for Mythics. Some interesting designs, but nothing that I need to grab and it feels like just more of the same for the most part. Like, how many 2.0 body style ladies with ponchos or the same skirt piece do we need?

The yellow guy, Hylor, and the blue alien dude with the poncho are tempting, but don't have enough going on to push me over the edge. Wish we could have gotten more OxKrewe members with the big chunky armor, but I guess we just wait for the final wave for them.

This will be my first purchase direct from Store Horsemen and I was shocked at how cheap the all-in was after having to play catch up on BBTS.  I really like the Buzz-Off homage guy.

These Cosmic Legions waves are just so underwhelming since the first. Just different paint aps and combinations of already existing parts. The blue Veeblian dude would be cool but it’s just a re-paint of the better looking Ukha from last wave (and for some reason is $11 more expensive).

I really hope they release a character of Kogg’s species without that space suit armor. I’m more into the named aliens and not a fan of the space suits for the most part. Although, I would probably still order Kogg if his suit were painted in a more appealing color pattern. But alas, I will hold out hope that his species gets an unarmored release in the future.

I do like the Scapeback mount but since it’s the only one I’m interested in there’s no benefit of pre-ordering.

It really felt more like a repaint wave than anything else.

Having said that, I really like everyone other than the female. Definitely picking up the bee guy (the helmet head is great), Kogg, Bunji and a Thraxian hunter or two.

The head on Kogg is pretty awesome as well, great design and I really like the colors of his armored suit. I have a feeling they're gonna get me every time with the Thraxians. Really like those guys. The brownish color looks great.

Too bad they were have so much trouble with the feed. And like many on the chat, I was hoping/dreading they were gonna surprise us and announce that the rover vehicle that was in a lot of the awesome action shots was being released too.

It was sad to hear that this would have been the weekend of Powercon. I really enjoyed that last year and can't wait to get back. Finally, a really cool con that's within reasonable driving distance (4 hours from me)!

I think it's the way each "character group" spans across multiple waves, unlike Mythic, where we get a bunch of skeletons, or barbarians in one wave, then the next wave moves to something else entirely.

With these, we're seeing the new parts, then maybe some new armor added on the next wave, but the characters all just feel the same again. Like, would it be better if they followed the mythic route and tried a wave of scavengers and the threxxians? In and out. Then the Oxkrewe and the hammerhead aliens, instead, they're all jumbled into what looks like it will be three waves, with a ton of parts sharing in between so what's new feels pretty minor when it's spread out like this.

Interesting that the most recent Mythic wave was also pretty underwhelming for most, as it was a ton of reuse and no real core team or theme to any if it.

The hardcore caballers seem to love anything they put out, so these repaint waves do seem like they would help keep costs lower, so the casual fans can still take advantage of the lower prices that the diehards are funding.

Not to tell anyone that they're wrong for feeling one way or another, but there's more to this wave than meets the eye. It's just really subtle, which seems like an odd choice for an action figure company.

Look at Kogg. At first glance, he just looks like a mix of Vellok and Orvar, but with a new head and feet. He looks like he has Vellok's abs, but there's a spacer hidden in him that makes his torso much longer. He has Orvar's new thighs and shins, but again, there's some kind of spacer in his knee that's making his legs look longer than Orvar's.

Bunji feels like a repaint of the Scapeback, but if you look closer, it has new shoulders with fewer spikes, new thighs with fewer spikes, and a shorter tail, on top of the more obvious new head, feet, and saddle.

The Thraxxian Hunter clearly has a new head, but he also has new weapons, new forearms, and his shins are missing the knee covers that the Scout has.

There's actually quite a bit of new tooling in this wave, but it kind of feels like the Horsemen tried so hard to make these figures feel like they're part of a cohesive world that their differences are a little too subtle and easy to overlook.

Still, space Doja Cat has a great paint job and excellent soft goods and she'll fit right in with my other Cosmic ladies, even if her only new part is her head.

I've always liked Buzz-Off's look despite having no connection to MOTU. I might grab the bee guy.

I agree, I am a bit underwhelmed. I understand reuse, repaints, but these feel pretty flat compared to the first group. The biggest thing I got excited for was the sleeping bag, but at the end of the day I could probably make one of those easy enough.

I liked what I saw in this wave. Is there a lot of reuse? Sure, but that’s how it goes with these figures, especially early on like Mythic. I think that’s what’s working against Cosmic: people compare it to Mythic, but Mythic’s been around for ten years and has way more parts variety and world building now. Personally, I’m digging Cosmic more than Mythic these days despite the parts reuse because of the sci-fi elements and the color and design choices.

I’ll grab buzz off and Kogg from this wave, I’m more than happy that I don’t feel the need to get every character in every wave.
