I got Aius and Kanoxx in over the weekend. They don't disappoint. They're both truly beautiful figures to look at. Amazing details and accessories.
My only real complaints - and one is a minor one - are that the "hoses" on Kanoxx fall out at the slightest articulation. It's hard to pose him and keep the hoses in place. The other issue is that, as with other Legions his wrist isn't strong enough to hold up his massive weapon. In almost every pose, it's going to sag downwards.
Those issues aside, I can't stop looking at these on my shelf. Instant favorites in my collection.
This may not be the right spot - but is there a checklist for the Cosmic/Mythic MOTU tribute figures?
And is their a cheap way to kitbash the "He-Man" figure?
I was going to sit out the Cosmic Legions, except for Kraggnar, until I saw the MOTU tribute to Man E Faces. I tried to score one at Powercon but missed it each day. Even the vendors there that stock orders of the figure wanted way more than Big Bad has him listed for preorder so I'll just exercise a little patience. The Adam Power tribute figure was pretty sweet as well. I'm still largely on the sidelines with this collection but I'm watching intently.
I just received the second wave and it's funny, this is the first time collecting I have ZERO recollection actually ordering this wave. Now that they're in hand I do remember Mbyra but the rest? Pure Gandalf in the Mines of Moria moment for me, I have memory of this place.
I mean they are all very cool looking figures but I found myself looking at two of them thinking "when did I order this guy?" The first wave felt a little more distinctive to me, though really the whole line is super unique.
Just bought Aius/alien guy, feels good buying figures again after a 2 months (forced) break. cant wait, pics coming soon.
I'm getting Fedex'd by USPS! Been tracking my all in set — it was in Buffalo, NY, near where I live, on Tuesday with a Wednesday delivery, pushed the day back on Wednesday and Thursday, nothing updated yesterday. Just checked, the package is now in Anaheim, California, with no delivery date ...
Did receive my single Noveunn Leen and he's everything I'd hoped for. No issues with joints, holds the weapons and poses well. The open-mouthed head is the real winner.
My Ainus/alien has been shipped today. Welcome to Planet Florida.
WTF? i just got Aius, he is SUPERB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im surprised by the height, he is 8 INCHES on the dot. i thought he was like 7 inches, im super fine with that height though.
This is my first 4H figure and the hype is real, this figure is amazing, now i know why they have a Cult following them cause im a new CULT member now. They are the figure Gods. now only if they can make that awesome Bear 8 inches too.
<Finally, the quintessential 'grey alien' figure has arrived>
My scorpion woman arrived yesterday. She has a few scuffs from her green armor rubbing against her translucent orange skin, but the scuffs are in discreet places and she looks great with my other Cosmic ladies so I'm pretty happy.
4H noob question: anybody know what those clear plastic little tubes are for?
it comes wit the figure. And whats the rectangle hole in the back for? i know the round ones are for the shoulder thingys.
the Clear pegs are for weapon storage, the figures should have various round holes in their belts and gauntlets with a matching hole in their weapons.
I’m not deeply familiar with all the Cosmic Sculpts so I don’t know if the grey alien is missing any of has any extras, but on the ones that are basically Mythic 1.0/2.0 builds this means you can holster a gun on their back or give them wrist mounted blasters.
The rectangular hole in the figure’s back is for the wings adaptor (wings plug into the shoulder armor holes, so if you want both… Adaptor!), I think it can also hold a shield somehow, but I’ve never had luck with that.
Thanks Baghead. you the best.
Opened my Noveeun and Slygor yesterday. Both standouts of the line so far, just a ton of shelf presence. Noveeun is surprisingly large compared to the regular 1.0 figures, I wasn't expecting it, and it's still kinda strange seeing him standing next to the other armored figures and making them seem kindain comparison. Throwing Slygor's alien head on him is my new fav look for the body. Throwing the Mythic Leodysseus head is also a good look.
Or maybe it's more that the Slygor Riz body isn't as bulked up and tall as I pictured in my mind's eye, even when he's all armored up. Kinda torn on this, but I guess I'm just waiting for the big armored characters coming out in next year to get that big sci-fi Starcraft marine look.
@doc-baghead Thanks for answering the question about the pegs - I actually just opened up both waves last night (I just couldn't find the time to set up the first wave until now) and when I got to the pegs I'm like... I THINK I can figure out what these are for, but I bet someone on the Fwoosh will be able to tell me for sure and lo and behold you'd already done it. Much obliged from someone who should have opened up my Cosmic Legions months and months ago!
