Marley goes back up for sale tomorrow at 9 AM EST, if anyone has any regrets after Saturday's sale.
I resisted in the morning last week. I resisted in the afternoon last week. I may not be able to resist tomorrow.
@red_ogre If he ends up being the start of a very likely Christmas Carol beat in the line, he’s going to be one a lot of people will be kicking themselves for missing out on. If you’re even thinking about it, it’s probably wise to pull the trigger than risk missing out. There are never guarantees retailer repaints ever happen.
I've resisted so far. The only thing really pulling me in is the normal head - such a great sculpt. The ghost head with the unhinged jaw just looks really cartoony to me, and I would never want to display it that way. I can't get over how great every single one of these figures has been, yet the only one I have is Father Christmas. I just don't know what I'd do with the rest of them, so I can't justify the price.
I'm really hoping to see a lot of these parts show up as Blackbeard or a pirate of some kind. That I would need to grab.
Maybe (definitely) a dumb question, but where does one order Jacob Marley? I'm a bit of a classic literature-head and would like one for my bookshelf.
I removed the left arm and head to put the shackle harness on. I didn’t realize there was a clasp on the back that could open, but if Misfit is saying it won’t stay closed, I’m glad I didn’t find it.
It really is an impressive figure, and I agree with buttmunch, if you’re on the fence, if you think they’ll follow through on the three ghosts, don’t wait on Marley.
Got my Marley in yesterday. Very impressed with it! I especially liked what's in the safe (even if I'm not entirely sure what it is).
However, I got two of the open-mouth doorknockers instead of one closed and one open. I've already sent an email about it. Hope they can exchange one of them for the closed.
@sephiroth61787 my Red Death came with a peg broken off of the front panel of the clock and they quickly sent me a replacement. The peg seemed broken off before packaging as there wasn’t any trace of the peg in the packaging or clock. I’m sure they’ll fix you up no problem.
With it going back up today, I caved and ordered one for myself. If nothing else, he can be a Halloween display piece as a generic ghost figure.

They responded the same day and will be sending me a replacement. Awesome customer service!
Which makes me want to look at other Figura Obscura releases....
(I don't really do Mythic or Cosmic Legions.)
Just got home and opened Marley. Full disclosure: I’m a huge Christmas nut. I love the Santa and Krampus figures. Marley is on another level in my opinion. Fantastically executed figure. Even the open mouthed head. I like it way more in person. I truly hope we do get the ghosts and Scrooge. It would be incomplete without Scrooge.
I’m still irritated over Hallmark’s discontinued Mickey’s Christmas Carol ornaments. 😀 Don’t let us down, Horsemen!
If they do end up doing the three Christmas ghosts, hopefully it’s a 3-pack so it doesn’t take up three separate release spots. Personally, I’m good with just Jacob Marley (and maybe Scrooge). Ah hell, if they dropped a 3-pack of the Christmas ghosts I’d probably grab that too.
I got my Marley today as well and he is quite a striking figure. Mine has horribly loose ankle joints though... I guess I'll need to pump some Elmer's glue into them to see if that helps.
