Yeah, it’s the only time we’ve really had any hint of any upcoming releases. The next two ghosts are a lock for the next two years. After that I feel they’d do Scrooge to give us that last chapter/Stave. After 4 ghosts I think Scrooge would sell better has he would really enhance the display with four separate figures at that point.

The Spring and Halloween figures are still very much a mystery and anything being on the table so it doesn’t lessen that exciting nature of the unknown very much just by knowing what the Christmas figures are.

I expected this, and I bought it. I like the design of Past here even if I don't love how those bare arms look. I'm left wishing she had flowing robes to conceal them, but I'm interested in seeing how it all plays out in-hand. And even though I expected this, I am a little disappointed in the implied confirmation that the next few years are set in stone. I have enjoyed the surprise factor the past three years up until now and even this year still had a twinge of doubt, even if I didn't actually believe they would do anything but the Ghost of Christmas Past. I'm left hoping that next year we get Present and then a two-pack of Scrooge and Yet to Come to finish it off. If it's released like the Egypitan themed release from the summer that would be suitable for me. I could see some people not being that interested in Scrooge who is basically just a guy and to have him occupy a slot all by himself would be a bit anticlimactic. At the same time, to not make a Scrooge would be foolish as there will be more people angry than not if we get all four ghosts and no Scrooge. I'm guessing to make him feel a bit more "special" he'll come with enough accessories to basically be Scrooge from any point in the story so that he can be paired wit the ghost of your choice, and to also encourage extra buys for those who are really committed to creating a dramatic display of all five staves. And if they are, does that mean we should expect a Tiny Tim? Maybe this does go on for three more years and the final release is a Scrooge and Tim.

I would like pajamas Scroooge and his going to work clothes with tall hat. Miserly head sculpt and elated with joy head as well.

In time.

Thwipp!

Classic, but with appropriate weaponry for their character:

Zues: Thunderbolt(s)

Poseidon: Trident

Ares: possibly an assortment, but at least a in scale sword

Hephestus: a forge hammer

Athena: Spear and shield

Nike: Spear and sword

etc.

Even if we know who the next two (probably three) characters are, there’s still some level of mystery to them, as they’re going to have to be something really special to not just make them look like these two:

https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/233657?o=4

https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/229557?o=4

(In fact I bet after Maxillius starts shipping we see a lot of “group shots” with him, Retailer Christmas, Marley, and Past)

what size body will Present use? Unless I’m mistaken these super elaborate robes have only been on a 2.0 body so fair, but Present is usually presented as larger, so 1.0? Brute? Ogre? And all new sculpt like Frankenstein we’ll see reused down the road? Will he introduce a fat tummy piece to the line or will they just use a standard torso and let the robes pad him out?

I know Yet to Come is usually portrayed as the Grim Reaper (or Pete) in media but I believe there’s debate if it is *the* Grim Reaper or just a personification of dread and death. So the Horsemen have some wiggle room with what they put under the black robes.Red Death could have been a red skelly but they went for something a little different, so who knows! If I had to make guest-wish: if no fully new parts; grey alien body reuse so he’s tall and lanky! If new sculpt: “brute” scale Skelly! (So skeletal grey alien)

and Figura Obscuras come loaded with accessories, what can we look forward to with these two?! I’m sure Yet to Come comes with Scrooge and Tiny Tim’s gravestones, but Present is usually shown arriving with a feast…

Anubis and Basset come loaded with more Egyptian treasures than the British Museum, can we expect this kind of treatment but with foods for Present?! Finally having some roast meats and maybe some wine in Legions scale they can hold would be an excellent Christmas gift indeed!

Oh definitely. Couple weapons even; just not anime swords and axes with spikes everywhere and pauldrons the size of beach balls and stuff.

@doc-baghead You're right! Maxillius and that Father Christmas are more or less the stock tropes we see in most productions of A Christmas Carol so it does seem a bit unnecessary to me, an admitted grinch, to redesign those characters. However, I've already underestimated the power of Christmas once in this thread so I wouldn't bet against them doing it because that's what people want. I'd love to see a grey alien Reaper and a brute scale Father Christmas, just for the fun of it.

Haha, imagine if Santa Claus was built like Hafþór Björnsson.

I'm seeing all these Victorian long coats like the ones on Jacob Marley and Frankenstein's monster and fully know they're going to do some classic pirates like Blackbeard & Captain Morgan etc. at some point and my budget will be blown all over again with this line.

I sorta of see the Ghost of Xmas present to be a fatter Brian Blessed; Falstaff type character.

@jtmarsh Peter Pan is public domain now right? They could do a badass Captain Hook.

I wouldn't be opposed if they did all the notable pirates in some form or another.  Having most show up in Assassin's Creed Black Flag was one of the reasons that game's my favorite in the series.  They don't have a teen body for Peter Pan himself though, and I doubt they could use a female figure in quite the same way females have portrayed Pan on stage in the 60s & 70s.  Even made up pirates would be fine with me.  I'm mostly knights in the line, but have a couple gladiators, and the upcoming Roman(esque) soldiers will probably get me to buy a few.  I just have to talk myself out of buying a pair of those hyena minions and considering them "werewolves" for everyone else to fight.  I'd assume orc / barbarian armor would fit them just as easily?

I'd really, REALLY like if they did their own literary Robin Hood, as I assume that's so old no one owns it either.

Got her in today. Like most things I like the figure even better in hand. I’m actually gonna display it as it came in the box. And the  surprise is great as well in my opinion. Totally forgot they did that with these releases.

I got mine in on Monday and it's a figure I like the look of better in person than I did when just viewing the images online. Not that I was disappointed in those, but she just has a nice look. I really haven't done much with the figure though. It was cold when it arrived so I didn't want to really put it through the ringer until it had a chance to acclimate to the conditions in my home, but even after that I haven't picked it back up. It looks nice right out of the box with minimal posing and I don't know that I really want to swap out any of the stock parts. Maybe I'll go as-is for this year's shelf and change it up next Christmas? I like the other portraits, though the stock hair piece with the crown has a fragile feel and I'm reluctant to pull it off. The whole thing feels delicate, justified or not, and I do have a bad seem right on the front of the gown which kind of sucks. I wish she came with a flight stand as I picture her floating through the air, but the other stuff in the box is pretty cool including the surprise.

Can someone post what the surprise is under a spoiler tag? I just did a google search, skimmed through three videos and came up empty. I'm not planning on buying but I'm curious about the extra piece. Thanks.
