@sephiroth61787 I would definitely like a green or bluish or even gray over this yellow version. I have liked the second release FOs better than just about all of the first.
It's a neat horror figure, and really cool to see something that represents the creature from the book (that shot of Trevor's with him sitting and contemplating life while holding the book by the stairs is pretty amazing).
Cool accessories for a horror lab, but there's nothing here I need, or really want.
What's interesting to me is that this is an entirely new body sculpt except for maybe the upper arms and legs which are the new bare 1.0 sculpts, along with new hands and feet. So they must be doing ok with the sales of these if they can justify this amount of new sculpting for both the figure and the accessories..Or maybe the next release will be a bunch of reuse.
Dorklair's review is up on Youtube and and as per usual, the figure has a ton of shelf presence and the sculpting and painting are both pretty amazing. Some of the swaps he did were pretty cool and had me somewhat tempted (that iron mask with the shackles is pretty fun), but I don't need him that badly as I'm trying to pare down what I already have.
Looks interesting.
Thwipp!

You said everything I wanted to. My first reaction was that the skin texture and stitches reminded me of the McFarlane x Clive Barker Tortured Souls line from the 90s, but otherwise he felt a little plain. Then I saw that DorkLair review that showed off his size and that iron mask swap and I started coming around, but because of my limited shelf space I think I'm going to hold off and see what's in the new ML wave in November.
This figure is *stunning* and having a book-accurate Frankenstein Creature is a lifelong dream of mine. I could go on and on about all the things that make me “recognize” this figure as the character I’ve been reading about since I was nine. Now I *really* need 4H to tackle novel-accurate versions of Jekyll&Hyde, the Phantom of the Opera, and of course DRACULA.
Well done, Four Horsemen, well done.
I’m loving this Frankenstein. The black lips from the book has always been a description of the creature that always stood out to me. Glad they included that! Lots of thought went into this and I love the accessories. Yes, Frankenstein has been done a lot but there is a reason for that. It’s a popular, classic character that lends itself to different interpretations. This is by far one of the most book accurate depictions we’ve seen.
The list of classic literary horror isn’t huge so I would expect to see them tackle things like Dracula, the Invisible Man, Phantom of the Opera, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Dorian Grey, etc almost as their own mix of classic universe monsters and league of extraordinary gentlemen.
Dracula seems like a good candidate for next year. They could go all out with a coffin, candelabra, alternate heads - including a more bat like one that would fit in with the ML vampires.
I’m still really curious about the upcoming Christmas drop. More than likely they’ll be continuing the Christmas Carol beat. Will they knock out the remaining ghosts in one go? Or space them out once a year? There are 4 more staves to cover to complete the story and the next three staves cover each of the ghosts. That last one is Christmas morning and really only Scrooge and maybe Tiny Tim would make sense for that last stave so that could be interesting to see how that might do.
I've got some good horror shelves, so there's no way I could pass this bad boy up. I really dig his size and sculpt. Glad I don't have to wait a year (or more) to get him. And yes, a green 2nd version is also a must-have.
Great looking figure. Not for me, personally, but it's always delate to see such creativity and integrity in full display. I imagine this will also go great with their Necronomicus wave, shambling behind Belualyth.
As for Christmas, I'd be bummed if they spent the next several years flushing out a Christmas Carol - I suppose Scrooge and the 3 ghosts are a must? But, also, that would be most excellent for fans of the property. If they do that, I hope they release the entire set at once at some point, because I'd be more tempted to buy all of them at once, instead of a stand alone Marley.
Would really love some elves and reindeer for Santa, though, or a Jack Frost.
How much did they want for shipping on this? Trying to decide if I want to try for round two.

Wow. Just wow. This adaptation of Adam is the first time I've ever seen the character done proper justice to his book version, let alone nearly perfectly. How splendid! I'll have to pick him up eventually.
More enticed by the accessories than anything. Overall it looks good, but nothing I need / have to have.
Never read the book (want to get around to it) but a novel accurate iteration of the Creature is way cool. I don't want to spend that much cash in one go right now, but if stock lasts til my next payday I might be in. If not, I'll go aftermarket or wait for the potential retailer recolor if I truly regret missing out.
I probably shouldn't have, it's been an expensive month... but I just couldn't pass him up. Book accurate creature just looks too good. The sculpt really is phenomenal.
