Without butterfly joints and double-jointed elbows, it's very unlikely that your sword-wielding characters will be able to hit a two-handed pose.
Well on Friday they are unveiling a new Mythic Legions wave that seems all about destruction. Maybe they’ll reveal a 3.0 body system with added articulation?

Better yet... ACTION FEATURES!
Spring-loaded chops! Windup spinning torso! Barbarians squirting ketchup and mustard from their nipples!
The nature of the articulation format Mythic Legions and Figura Obscura uses lends itself to easy customization. They're practically modular, and sometimes don't even require heat to pull apart. I think that's part of the appeal for fans of these figures. Articulation becomes secondary to sculpt and paint and customizing.

You had me at "ketchup & mustard nipples."

You really don’t want to know.
Mythic Legions were originally designed to be 4" figures that worked with the Glyos peg system so pop-and-swap customizability was always 4H's priority with this line, not articulation. When they decided to scale the figures up to 1:12, they still wanted big, beefy joints that would stand up to the stress of repeated popping and swapping. I love highly articulated figures, too, but those thick joints are a feature of this line, not a flaw.

Giant, oozing back zits!
(they told you, you didn't want to know)
Got my Egyptians a week later than originally predicted. They're worth the wait. So much cool stuff! I wish they had included Anubis heads without the chunky tab in the back. I'm tempted to buy parted-out heads to round off and have a set of heads that can be used without the headdress.
It's that time again, kids! Going up tomorrow, 9-21, looks like we got ourselves a Frankenshteen:
I’m thinking Steampunk Benjamin Franklin reanimated warrior.
(key in the lightning)
Thwipp!
@prophet you’re right that the key is likely a clue but everything else does seem to point towards Frankenstein rather than a Ben Franklin, although I wouldn’t mind seeing one some day.
It will be interesting to see if they go with shredded clothing to show off more muscles and stitches or if he’s mostly clothed like a Karloff Frankenstein. He could also be on one of the larger bucks too. Literary horror now seems to be the definitive theme of the Halloween release. Dracula must be on the short list of future releases.
