Literary Dracula or Frankenstein would be a dream come true.

Could see anything from John Carter to Rima the Bird Girl. Lots of possibility in this line.

Literary Dracula is THE dream for me.

(and yes we are basically getting that in Fresh Monkey Fiction’s Monster Force, but I want the 4H to take a swing at the Great Un-Dead)

I got my Marley in on Thursday and opened him up.

I got the harness on by just popping the head and arms off like others had mentioned.

The surprise in the safe was cool, and happy I didn't come across it on social media.

I currently have him hovering on a flight stand with 2 of the boxes hanging from his open hands and all the others hanging from him off the ground.

As much as I love Dracula and Frankenstein's Monster, those seem less likely to me if only because so many other companies have done a Universal Monsters line and some of them are pretty decent. I'm sure 4H could do a great original take on them, but it's already a very crowded market and customers usually gravitate to familiar designs.

4H also has an enormous selection to choose from because the Figura Obscura line has been split between literary characters and folklore characters, with Wukong fitting both. I agree with the many posters who've already pointed out that Marley's coat means there's probably a pirate figure in the works. Maybe Bluebeard or Long John Silver?

King Arthur or Lancelot seem like obvious choices for Figura Obscura since they're literary characters that became folklore characters, but I suppose the whole idea behind this line was to move away from armored knights. Maybe Beowulf instead? Or even Gilgamesh?

A John Carter of Mars figure could be fun. I love the saber and pistol look. Captain Nemo would be another good choice along those lines, but Mezco made a great version pretty recently.

The silhouette they've revealed for Bassylia already looks like a gorgon, but I'm not sure if that makes Medusa more or less likely. I'd go nuts for a good harpy.

A Baba Yaga with a big pestle and mortar would be great. Koschei the Deathless, the original lich, would definitely fall within familiar 4H territory.

Oh a Baba Yaga!  That absolutely seems right up this line's alley. I would love to see them do that.  Any kind of witches would be fun to see...

Got my shipping notification for Jacob Marley yesterday at 1am, and he delivered the same day. Another excellent figure! Thanks to the folks in this thread for the tip about popping off his arms before sliding the harness on.

I gotta say, they all look really nice. I love the original Red Death I got, but there's something really nice about that black cloak too.

Marley is the only one I'm tempted by, but I do think I prefer the original. Never been a huge fan of Glow-in-the-Dark, and I think the clear/icy white suits him better than the blue. But it's better than not having it at all, I suppose. Tempting.

I think I would have preferred a green color scheme to the slightly different blue take just to make them a bit more different from each other. The inverse Red Death was a good idea although I wish the mask and head were also inversed. I’ll be grabbing both of those for sure.

Retailer exclusive variants have been revealed for last year’s figures:

I may be Twitter illiterate, but it would be nice to know which retailers were getting which exclusives. Will they announce that elsewhere?

I don't think any one retailer gets exclusivity. All four are available at the normal locations minus the 4H store.
At least that's how I understand it.

That’s exactly it. “Retailer Exclusive” in this case is akin to Hasbro’s Fan Channel. I think 4H offer it to basically any retailer that wants it so there isn’t a dedicated list of who will sell it since it depends on what kind of success that retailer has had with the brand.

Thanks for the clarification. Still seems like relevant info to share in a post about new reveals that might appeal to new or casual fans, but I guess that’s why we have a forum.
