Damn, I was out of town for a couple of weeks and not able to get online. I get back and everything's different.
Ok, well Robo and Veebs will still post their videos on YouTube, just on a different channel now. And these forums are still up and running, so actually, nothing's really different.
I'm 41, but only just got into the hobby in 2020 when McFarlane started the DC Multiverse line. After buying wave one and enjoying them, I started looking on youtube for toy reviews to see what was worth tracking down from older lines/companies, and other properties. It didn't take very long before I came across one of Robo's reviews and I was hooked. He sold me on the channel, I didn't care about the figure. At the time, I was 37 going on 38 and I thought I was too old for toy collecting (I hadn't visited any forums yet), but here was this guy with an awesome hat and an epic beard and he was older than I was and he was expressing his love for this shit throughout the entire video. Sold.
I then discovered the Weekly, and it became the staple of my Saturday mornings. I'd sit there with a bowl of cereal and it was like Saturday morning cartoons, even if I wasn't interested in the figures. I even got my wife into it, and she doesn't collect toys at all - she just enjoyed watching Robo making jokes. It's hard to find things to be excited about in the world sometimes, so watching Robo be excited for 20 minutes talking about those "pretty promotional pictures" was a joy. Like a few others here, I actually thought the Fwoosh was Robo's baby. I've been referring to the Fwoosh as "Robo's website", "Robo's forum" for 3 years lol My bad.
(I wonder what this means for those skeletons.....still waiting, Mr. Fwoosh-owner-who-actually-isn't-Robo)
@Robokillah If you're lurking, I just wanted to get my 2 cents in. You rock, dude. And you definitely made me feel welcome into a hobby I was scared at my age to get into. We've never met, but you're a good one, as far as I'm concerned. I've subscribed to your other channel, and I will be joining Patreon soon. Thanks for the laughs, and I hope that you're able to do your own version of the Weekly. Cereal on Saturday mornings won't be the same if you're not talking toys.
p.s. - If you're doing your own thing, get your son on there again too. My wife and I thought he was hilarious when he popped up a couple months back 🙂
I don't see the forums dying at least, not for now. And if they ever do there'll just be another one created by the rest of us to take its place.
Not to be that guy who calls the time of death before it happens, but I will say if it were to happen then Tapatalk would be a must...I have no clue what it would cost to create and maintain a forum that uses it, but I would be 100% down on a cash donation of some sort to help get it started.
Again, not wishing for the demise of this place or anything. Just speaking in a general sense.

Uh. He already responded and talked about that on the last page.
I'm glad he is still maintaining a YouTube presence, because he is my favorite toy reviewer and I would miss the further adventures of Gus and Beef Boss and all his other toy characters
Man, I was just browsing youtube the other day and saw the "Robo Don't Know" handle and thought that was some dude taking a shot at the real Robo. My wife enjoys his velvety voice when I watch his reviews 🙂 so I guess I need to follow him now (or DO I........ 🙂 ). Good luck to him and Veebs.
I hope the Fwoosh stays around for a good long time. It's the only toy forum I frequent.
I joined the Fwoosh in 2004, but lurked from 2002.
I joined the fwoosh in 1976 but lurked since 1734 B.C.
I was shocked when I saw the Weekly. Robo and Fwoosh were synonymous to me. I'm glad him and Veebs will still be around doing their own thing though.
That being said, I hope that the forums can stay up. There really isn't another comprehensive action figure forum like this. Genuinely enjoy all the discussion that occurs here and consider it one of the essential parts of my community experience.
Robo is my favorite, and I will follow him anywhere.
Yes. A bit of a shock but not unexpected, it's been a fucking chaotic year. Heartbreaking, sad, and just painful. I wish them the very best and in light of everything, it's the right call for everyone.
That, said there are no plans to take the site or the forum down at this time. That said there are no plans for Fwoosh Publishing (Homepage news and reviews, YouTube and associated media, socials) at this time. I'll be evaluating that aspect of the business. For the volunteers that wish to continue, business as usual.
My main focus right now is on Fwoosh Toys and getting the Pumpkin Head Skeletons out. They are about ready to ship from the factory and we need to get these delivered. Beyond that, I'll need to evaluate all our projects.
2023 has been an incredibly difficult year.
It kind of goes without saying, but I think I can speak for everyone or most everyone here that it shouldn't be lost in all the well-wishes to Veebs and Robo that we also all wish the best for you Pabs! Hope it all works out and things continue on a good course for you even without Veebs and Robo along for the ride.

Well said! Much love to you too Pabs.
Bring back Jin Saotome.
Bring back Jin Saotome.
😆 😆
EDIT: Just past my 20-year anniversary 4 months ago. My, how time flies!!
History in the making. 😮 How many other 20+ year members are on here? Mine was in September, so I've been a member of the fwoosh, since September 8th 2003, 20 years and just over 3 months. 😮
it’s been at least 20. Probably 21. Long enough for me to remember when VeeBee was Vanilla Blue and Robo had hair. 😛
This seems like a natural progression. As Triple H said when asked about CM Punk returning to the WWE, “If you’re the same person you were ten years ago, you’re doing it wrong.”
As for the Fwoosh as a forum, that last outage and data loss pretty much killed it. I started getting my posting fix in the comments sections on You Tube videos while the site was down, and now I rarely post here. It doesn’t help that the mechanics of this new forum seems kind of cumbersome compared to the old one.
