Like I wrote in the other thread, the Fwoosh forums are my home in the internet. My favorite place to hang out. Really sad to lose Robo and Vanilla Blue, because they have been such big parts of the Fwoosh. And Robo has been such a nice person and generous to me. I will follow both of them in their next endeavors. But sad to see a split. I don’t want to see the Fwoosh change again.
Maybe the forums can get an upgrade. Can we please get Tapatalk back?
@deckard I feel this too. And to be honest, I kinda think an industry crash is soon to happen. Too many toys, too many figures from too many companies are coming out. Add to that the increasing pricing plus the many less than stellar products coming out from many of these companies... it's almost like we're begging for it.
Hopefully nothing happens. We need this hobby.

I can't say I'm upset or worried. Robo and Veebs are still positive names active in the toy community as have always been, and The Fwoosh forums (and toy company) are still around and with the regulars I like chatting and discoursing with having no plans of leaving. As long as the community is alive, I see no real difference outside a few technicalities and labels and what youtube channels I subscribe to and watch.
I can only see good in the future. I don't see the forums dying at least, not for now. And if they ever do there'll just be another one created by the rest of us to take its place.
I really hope the forums stick around. Although it would probably be better for me financially to not be apart of a like-minded community of collectors, I'd miss it terribly. I haven't found another forum online that I can be bothered to deal with.

Yes. A bit of a shock but not unexpected, it's been a fucking chaotic year. Heartbreaking, sad, and just painful. I wish them the very best and in light of everything, it's the right call for everyone.
That, said there are no plans to take the site or the forum down at this time. That said there are no plans for Fwoosh Publishing (Homepage news and reviews, YouTube and associated media, socials) at this time. I'll be evaluating that aspect of the business. For the volunteers that wish to continue, business as usual.
My main focus right now is on Fwoosh Toys and getting the Pumpkin Head Skeletons out. They are about ready to ship from the factory and we need to get these delivered. Beyond that, I'll need to evaluate all our projects.
2023 has been an incredibly difficult year.
Really sad to see you guys go - but like everyone else here, wishing you the best with your future endeavors. I'll definitely be sticking around, as I enjoy getting action figure info in this type of environment.
Question though - will this affect the Fwoosh Toys Ninja Scroll line? Still really looking forward to those.

Considering one of the explanations about the new forum was having it and the site in the same location, I don't see that happening as long as it's a Wordpress add on for the general website.
Of course, sad to see them go, but change is something that's inevitable. It sounds like their presence in the toy world won't really be changing. I see the two pivoting more to Toy PR than toy reviews in the coming year since that seems to be their bread and butter. I definitely could empathize with Robo in the weekly when he described part of the reason for the move to be to do things he's always wanted to do before time runs out to make such a change. Hopefully it all works for everyone and I definitely hope the forums continue to be a great place to talk toys for many years to come. I'm too old to find another community at this point.

The Fwoosh forums had Tapatalk compatibility for several years until the forum went down around July 2023. Since then, the forums have been difficult to use on mobile phones. I don’t even use a computer for anything except work anymore. It would be great if the forums could get upgraded back to the point that Tapatalk works again. I noticed a decrease in the overall activity. Lots of old members have not come back. I expect that the new difficult interface is likely a hurdle for lots of people.
I joined the Fwoosh in 2004, but lurked from 2002.History in the making. 😮 How many other 20+ year members are on here? Mine was in September, so I've been a member of the fwoosh, since September 8th 2003, 20 years and just over 3 months. 😮
It's crazy to think of Robo and Veebs not being part of The Fwoosh. They are the face and the heart of this place. I always enjoy their videos and interviews.
I was always subscribed to the Fwoosh youtube channel, but I went and made sure to subscribe to Robo's channel. I hope Robo, Veebs, and those still wish the Fwoosh website all the best. And I hope the forums are always around. I love coming to these forums. Seeing what people found, talking about new reveals, answering questions or giving links to help out if I can, and getting links and asking questions because you can always count on everyone here.
