I find the longer term guys aren't as high on my watch/subscribe list as they used to be.  Secret (formerly Toy) Galaxy, Pixel Dan, Shartimus, and honestly even Robo and Veebs.  All of them still do content, but I find they aren't as prominent for me anymore.  I still check them out, but frankly not as regularly as other content creators.

I find I am the opposite. There is a creator I follow who only ever does live streams now, and besides them being generally when I'm working, I tend to not like the unorganized feel I get from a livestream, as opposed to the more cohesive feel of a shot and edited "long form" content as you call it.

I'd also like to thank Veebs and Robo for all their years of content and interactions we've had on the forum.

I'll follow both of them in whatever they do next.

History in the making. 😮 How many other 20+ year members are on here? Mine was in September, so I've been a member of the fwoosh, since September 8th 2003, 20 years and just over 3 months. 😮

To be fair, I don't know what else Fwoosh does besides these forums and Robo on YouTube.

I'll just keep posting here and subscribe to whatever YouTube channel he starts up and likely not notice a difference.

It's kind of like when Pitch Meetings left Screen Rant to make his own channel. I just followed him there and hoped it meant he was getting more of the money my clicks generate.

Man, this is sad, but I'm still glad Robo will continue to do the youtube stuff, just on his own channel. Maybe he and Veebs can do something on their own, together, who knows.

I do hope the forums don't go down, as they're my favorite. Been here at least since 2016, maybe even earlier but I never checked, lol.

Like i said in the other thread about robo leaving. Robo was the face of fwoosh and im kinda bummed that he will leave. im assuming he is in a good spot like having connections, knows the ins and outs and knows alot of people in the toy world so he can do his own thing and get more money. he defintly has the toy reviewer skills. he was one of my fav. for toy reviews. Good luck Robo. Ill follow you on youtube for sure.

That being said, i hope the Fwoosh forums dont totally close down for good. maybe that Pabs guy (owner) wants to only be a toy company now, that would suck big time. the owner should pop up here and explain whats gonna happen to the forums.

I don't think there are any plans to discontinue the forums. If there are, I hope we're given enough time to take the last lifeboat off the Titanic. I'm not super knowledgeable about back-end web development, but I'd sooner throw my hat in the ring and start something new than see this community disappear.

Thanks Robo and I wish you the best. I always appreciate the positvity that he brings to the hobby. I always enjoyed the weekly even if I didn't care about the toys he was talking about. Fwoosh hasn't felt the same since the boards went down around SDCC. The hobby in general has a weird feel going into 2024. Almost like we're creeping up on its twilight.

My 20 year is next year. August of 2004. Since the days of Scarlet Witch’s bootcuffs and “they’re killin teh lien!”

2008 for me, hung out mostly on the DC side for DCUC. I already subbed to Robo's personal YouTube account weeks ago but I guess I will be viewing that much more now. Wishing Robo and Veebs the best in whatever they wish to do.

Robo leaving really caught me by surprise.  I'm actually surfing youtube right now to find a suitable replacement for the Weekly.  Any suggestions?

I almost feel like the current iteration of the forum is the lifeboat.

Robo's replies to youtube comments imply he's going to continue the Weekly on his channel, "Robo Don't Know".

It's 7pm MT right now and Robo and Veebs have a vidcast coming up in an hour. So maybe we'll get some details and stuff about what they plan to do in the future on there. I'll be watching for as long as I'm able to.

This came out of nowhere. I don't really expect these forums to come back if they break under high traffic during the next big con or show.
