Palantir is actually NOT attached to the hand. So you can use the spread-fingers hand if you want, or put the palantir on something else.
Man, those look great! Thanks for sharing the pics msword 🙂
I'm so excited to get these.
Is Sam’s scabbard able to attach to him?
Their accessories look good, but why does Saruman have three right hands. And it still sucks that Sam's scabbard doesn't attach.
Got Saruman and Sam today. To my surprise Sam is my favourite, with a few minor issues. The scabbard can't attach once again but can somewhat fit by putting it underneath the satchel. I don't think the backpack fits over the plastic cloak which is necessary for the fight with Shelob so I put an old toy biz cloth cloak on it which really elevates it.
Picked up Sam and Saruman yesterday from GameStop. Haven’t had a chance to open them up yet but very happy with how Saruman looks. Still a little annoyed with Sam being in his Return of the King look and the rest of the Hobbits being Fellowship.
First proper look at Merry and Pippin...
New 'Lord of the Rings' Merry & Pippin Figures Unveiled [Exclusive] (collider.com)

Sculpts look good, glad to see they nailed the details on Merry's vest. The dirt paint detailing looks great.
Sure hope these two get elven cloaks. I wish we had a better idea of exactly which accessories these figures come with when preorders go up. We only just learned what Sam and Saruman are coming with just as they're about to ship, and past releases have been shown with accessories they didn't end up having. I'm sure they'll be loaded up like Sam, but still.
Glad to finish the fellowship either way, Merry and Pippin have historically been criminally underrepresented in LOTR toylines.
Merry and Pippin look great! Smart reuse as well. Can't wait to see what accessories they both come with as that's gonna be what puts that relative value up there around that $30 mark each. Maybe they both come with Uruk Hai torsos to ride? Maybe some grog? Pippin with an entire dwarf skeleton? Merry with an armful of veggies and a broken carrot? Possibilites are endless!
Merry and Pippin look great. Gonna be really nice to finally have the full Fellowship, with Gandalf the White not far after. As for accessories, I'm sure swords are a given, and I think I remember there being talk of a pint, and I think a firework was shown off at Toy Fair late last year? Hoping for a little square of Lembas, myself. Their elven cloaks would be nice too. Maybe a separate Palantir for Pippin, since Saruman's seems attached to his hand?
Merry and Pippin look fantastic! I love this line so much. Diamond Select does such a great job.

I mentioned earlier that the palantir is not attached. It's just packaged that way. Merry and Pippin accessories will include mugs, pipes, firework and cloaks. I may be missing a few things.

Saruman has three right hands for a wider variety of display options. He also has two left hands. One of the right hands came packaged on the left bent arm, I believe, but they're all removeable so it doesn't really matter.
@msword Still the same question: do they carry their scabbards on their bodies?
