S.H. Figuarts Berserker Armored Guts ("Heat of Passion" ver.) went up for preorder early this morning. Managed to get mine from N2G.
Not to be confused with the freshly released S.H. Figuarts Berserker Armored Guts which has been getting very positive reviews:
I'm really chuffed that Bandai didn't go the lazy route and actually made an entirely new sculpt for the fully armored Guts featuring the "jagged" armor to represent him going...well, berserk. It's an excellent feature for what could have been a cheap cash-in. He looks almost entirely resculpted.
Comparison with the earlier Figma versions. I love that Bandai kept their Guts in scale with these for the most part.

It's a good time to be a Berserk collector. Maybe not so much to be a Berserk fan, though. 🙁

Oh, yeah. It’s definitely the more “iconic” and “definitive” look. But that fully armored one is just too beautiful for me to pass up. They’ll look great together. 😀
