Straight out of Toy Fair 2023 comes news from McFarlane Toys! Coming next year to a toy shelf near you are Transformers Page Punchers!
The Page Punchers are a line of 3 or 7 inch figures included with a comic book. Currently, McFarlane Toys creates Page Punchers for DC Comics. Coming in 2023 are Page Punchers for Stranger Things (Dark Horse Comics) and Scorched (Image Comics). Both Transformers and G.I. Joe will be joining that lineup for 2024 in the 3 inch category.

What was shown were two different packs for Transformers. Optimus Prime and Wheeljack packaged with an IDW Publishing Transformers comic, or Megatron and Bumblebee packaged with an IDW Publishing Transformers comic. There was nothing currently displayed from the Energon Universe from the upcoming Skybound comics, nor was there clarification if the IDW Publishing Transformers comic was simply a placeholder for what would be a Skybound comic.
Stay tuned for more news in the future on Transformers Page Punchers!
Oh wow, imagine 7 inch GI Joe from Mcfarlane, awesome.
Exactly. I really hope that'll happen.
I think it was the Pixel Dan interview with McFarlane where there was a brief "blink and you'll miss it" shot of Bumblebee for the Page Punchers line.
It will be interesting to see how they do these lines. TF-wise I doubt I'll care since I am not big on TFs that don't transform. GI Joe might be interesting, but considering the limited articulation on the 3" versions and not knowing what the plan is for the larger 7" scale, I"m going to "keep my powder dry" until more information is revealed.
I'm honestly unsure whether anything on the 7" front will happen for either of them. On the one hand, Super7 has/had both of these licenses at that scale so does that block Todd? Or does the higher price point of S7 make it a different thing?
On the other hand, DST also has both of these license but they haven't done anything besides statues and Minimates and I'm sure they'd like to jump on 7" figures if they were allowed. Dunno.
Anyway, I don't need my Transformers to transform so I'm hoping for the best.
Since that press release specifically says G.I. Joe and Transformers will join Page Punchers in the 3 inch scale in 2024 - I wouldn't expect any 7 inch figures any time soon.
Hasbro is cruising with Classified in the 6 inch scale and has Super 7 doing toon based figures at 7 inches and may not want to crow the market too much. Hasbro's own release cadence on their 1/18th Joes has been pretty sparse and sporadic so the 3 inch Page Punchers aren't competing with much there.
But it is always an interesting development when one toy company licenses it's IP to another toy company.
Via TNI- First look at the 3" Page Puncher Joes:
Have I missed something? Why are people saying 7" Joes when it specifically says Transformers and GI Joe in 3 inch?
TBH I'm more intrigued by the Stranger Things announcement... about time McF got back into that license.
EDIT: And then a quick Google to discover ST is 3inch also. Sigh.
Somebody should tell them, they need 3/4" more.
Have I missed something? Why are people saying 7" Joes when it specifically says Transformers and GI Joe in 3 inch?
because they have done 7 inch DC ones
more like speculation that they may also do some G.I Joe in 7 inch
If I don't already have the GI Joe comic digitally or hardcopy, I'll likely buy. The tiny figures are a bonus. I bought a few of the DC ones and wanted to continue reading the next issue.
