I like this new Jinx look aesthetically. But I was always taught that tattoos mean yakuza, so if you are of Japanese ancestry, then tattoos are in poor taste if you aren’t a criminal. Not a big deal though!

Among older or more traditional Japanese people, it might be looked down upon, but most Japanese people in their 40s or younger don't seem to have a problem with tattoos (I watch an American YouTuber who lives in Japan, is covered in tats, and covers the Japanese culture, of which this subject has been covered a few times).

Yeah, I actually dig the tattoos on Jinx as a character indicator: puts her in the category of “meh, tradition is just peer pressure from dead people”, which suits her in my eyes. I always had her in my head as the “new generation” of the Arashikage, someone with little patience for the trappings of rigid generational conformity, who wants to forge her own path. Also seems like the tattoos are her directly confronting and rejecting the criminal legacy of her clan.

I'm surprised we are getting Torch and Gnawgahyde, with Zandar already announced and we still have zero word on Road Pig.

Well Road Pig is Lenny's favourite Nok so I imagine he'll show up sooner or later.

Plus we still have a good number of Dreadnoks left to be made.  Thrasher (probably will come with the Thunder Machine), Monkeywrench, and Zanzibar are still left from the "OG" ARAH era.  Then we could add in Heart-Wrencher, Zanya, Storm Rider, and Burn-Out from more recent toys/stories.  After that there are even more third tier Noks and anyone else new they might come up with for Classified.

Cool. I was just sharing my perspective as a Japanese American. Tattoos are frowned upon. But like I wrote before, it is not a big deal.

I love the tattoos, i might be biased there though, but put me in the camp that loves tattooed jinx, and I'm still hoping we get tattooed storm shadow at some point.

Been having good luck in WM's clearance aisle the last couple weeks with GI Joe.  Found Wolf Spider for $14 yesterday.  Last weekend I found some Super7 figs for $20 each.  I said I was going to wait for a regular version of WS to decide if I even wanted the character, but this being my 1st time seeing it on a shelf and at that price I caved.  On the same run I stopped in at the Meijer next door and found tin-can Iron Man (1st appearance, comic version) for $13.

Wolf Spider is great.  I was genuinely surprised seeing as though he had so much reuse, but dang if he doesn't look stellar on the shelf.  If he's a sign of what we could see moving forwards with original characters, I'm all for it.

Seeing Matthew's great Recon Diver pics has reignited my desire for that figure big time.  Torpedo was my second-favorite figure of last year and this guy is just more flavors of that.  All of us who grew up playing with action figures in pools, bathtubs, kitchen sinks, this guy's for us.  Here's hoping EE doesn't cancel my pre-orders.

Also it's going to be a real pain drying this guy off with all his gear, lol!  60th Anniversary Mold Diver coming soon.

Do you guys think anything new will ship in the month of February?  Like maybe the new Retro Wave with Duke, Recondo, etc.  or the VAMP?

Just wondered if anyone heard or new anything as I try to stay prepared for incoming charges.  I thought I saw something where someone had the Retro Wave and VAMP/Clutch in hand.  I'm sure it was overseas, or they got it from overseas.  But just didn't know what to expect for February.

@supercamel-1982 Amazon Canada has Metal Head listed as arriving March 1st so he could end up arriving earlier, or later.

With the VAMP showing up in the Philippines recently it is clearly done and ready to go.  The question is where it is in the supply chain?  Does Hasbro already have it in hand?  Still on a boat?  So it could also show up unexpectedly.  Same goes for the 60th Diver (though I don't think that was in the Philippines).

I would hazard a guess that there will be a couple items showing up this month but probably not too much (my wallet hopes).

I doubt it, once they get things they ship them out. Storing that stuff long term is not cost effective.

I assume since the VAMP is just getting into hands overseas, it's likely on the water to the US right now.  So maybe it'll ship from Pulse in late March.   We're gonna have a lot of Joe stuff shipping in March/April.

@ashtalon

Yeah, March/April is going to be insane due to Hasbro pre orders.  Basically, everything that has gone up for pre order in the last 3 or 4 months has had an April 1-April 10 estimated release date for GI Joe, Marvel Legends, and Star Wars Black Series.

And that's just those 3 brands.  I have no idea about Transformers etc.  But March and April I assume we may get wrecked with merch.

Also, thanks canprime for your response.  I hope you're right and not too much comes in this month.

I kind of hope a few or some things release earlier in February. Last year I think I got the Arctic BATs in Feb when it was expected later. It’s going to be insane in March/April. The Wolverine Anniversary two packs/Star Wars two packs/all those Joes we preordered last…I may have to cancel a few and catch them later.

Thwipp!

Yes, I too, am hoping for some early releases mid to late February. I am absolutely dreading the Mar/Apr/May time frame. So many joes dropping plus some other lines I collect. Might have to go on a Cup o Noodles diet for a few of weeks to help pay for all this stuff. Priorities right?  Lol.
