I already mentioned in the Vala thread how the height seemed too high.  Vala's description says over 20" long.  Rezvani's website shows the military version is 185" long.  Doesn't that put  Vala's version closer to 1/9 scale?  A true 1/12 version would be around 15.4"?  Someone tell me I'm wrong, I don't mind (I'm assuming there isn't more than one real life military version that happens to be bigger).  Not a Vala hater, I think I have around twenty of his figures.

One of the more "interesting" reasons I heard for the closeness in size to the Haslab was due to the HISS being a smaller sized tank.  It's a High Speed Sentry, therefore small.

Where's this coming from, we all know GI Joe Classified, Marvel Legends and Action Force are not true 1:12 scale. They all based their proportions on Marvel Legends, which scales closer to 1:11.5 to 1:10 depending on the figure. Classified Duke is about 1/11 and Classified Roadblock is more 1:10 scale, unless you erroneously believe Roadblock is supposed to be 8 foot tall.

Most Japanese figures like SH Figuarts or Little Armory are accurate to true 1:12 scale, not Legends, Classified or Action Force.

Wow, so instead of a cool, wacky toy design, I can get a (somewhat) mini representation of a civilian APC for the violently rich. Awesome, love this dystopian capitalism for Snake Eyes.

What exactly is the market for this? It's a boring, ugly design that's not in scale with the more toyetic vehicles from the line it's trying to big time. Do people need toys for their doomsday bunkers?

This post just had me picturing a real life Cobra Commander driving one cutting people off in traffic while screaming into his cell phone at someone. I have zero interest in the toy but I can't help laughing at how CC has violently rich Karen vibes to him in the right story.

"Move, you foolsssss! The children are late for ssssssoccer practissssse!"

These couple of comments almost made me snort coffee out of my nose. Perfect. 10/10. No notes.

Isn’t it the goal of every would-be world dictator to cut people off in traffic?

Truly despicable. CoCo's got to get Billy to karate practice at Stormshadow by 5:30, approve yet another Cobra militia uniform idea at 7, and sell counterfeit LuLu Lemon to the neighborhood gals by 8:30. He ain't got time for traffic laws.

@mrboshek, I just got a bunch so it's not a dry spell, but it does seem low that I only have three Classified pre-orders, and one of them's a HasLab.

Are we due for a livestream or some announcements soon?

...at least nobody was fired over Cobra Island figures.

Not exactly GI Joe or toy collecting per se, but it seems very related in ways.  I first heard about the Stanley cup situation on Toy Migos stream.  I was thinking, "what are they talking about? The hockey trophy?".

@nightwolf, he's staying in the box. I wasn't really that interested in him when he was announced, but one day he'll send my grandkids to University.

Same with the Tactitian, really, but in that case it'd be to a junior college.

I still havent opened him yet, not necessarily for resale (I accidentally bent up the card on mine anyway), but with the "Regular" version coming out, I kinda don't see the point since the regular one is the one I will probably display. And in all honesty, I still kinda prefer the original release CoCo.

I'm still waiting to see what comes with the regular release of Retro Cobra Commander before opening the Hiss Tank one.

Most likely it will be the exact same figure, but with fewer accessories (most likely no snake globe)and the card will be the standard Retro card while the Haslab Mickey Mouse CoCo has the white border around the whole card.

EDIT:  Oh and of course the logo will be the standard Cobra logo, not the Mickey Mouse Cobra logo.

I'd love to see a modern take on the SNAKE armor.

I'd love to see a modern take on the SNAKE armor.

I don't know how I feel about that.

On the one hand I love the ARAH Snake Armour.  On the other hand it really is just an empty brick which I don't think will translate well to Classified.

So for a modern take, it will probably require some reworking which might mean taking away from the design that made me like it so much.  Or if they try to hold true to the design it might require some sacrifices that could hinder the figure(?)/vehicle(?).

I wonder if maybe they should try something a bit newer with some small callbacks to the original.
