Valkyries showed up yesterday....  got the e-mail last night that the Trouble Bubble has now shipped.    Even when I get a tiny break from Marvel Legends Classified has to charge in and fill up the space.

I don't do much painting.  Will paint stick well to that material?  Even some light weathering should improve the look.  I cut down the number of sets from five to three before they shipped.

I'm going to paint mine I'll let you know. But it should stick fine. I've done it before with Masterverse figures on their soft plastic pieces. no issues. I'll use spray paint for most of it. except the straps on the figure. I'll use a brush for those.

GUYS! Don't paint. Dye them. Rit More Dye works awesome. Follow the directions on the bottle. Let them dry a few days, and hit with a blow dryer to really set.

I also strongly dislike the poor core range on the Valkyrie torso.   Might need to pop them open and dremel some more range.

One thing that caught me off-guard though is how much I like the tan strapped trooper.  I think I actually prefer her.  The tan straps on the boots are especially attractive, and I like the flourishes of black paint on the tan belt and knife holster.  Meanwhile the black-strap trooper doesn't have any paint details in these areas; her boot straps, belt, and knife holster are just molded black plastic.  Feels like they half-assed that, some gloss black paint would have been nice.

Having said all that, the tan-strapped trooper doesn't fit in with our current Cobra troops.  Eventually we we likely get some tan-strapped Cobra troops.  For now, they're just going to be displayed separately, while the black-strapped female troops fit right into the cobra army.  Love the metallic red goggles on the mask head but the oversized helmet reminds me of Dark Helmet from Spaceballs.

Great time to be a Classified fan!  Almost every new figure this summer has been a 9 or 10/10 in my eyes.

But also be careful.  Maybe I didn't do it "right" but even months after dying some ML pieces, they still stain other plastic parts.  I'll try your blow dryer method and see if that helps but it's still worth warning about, I'd really recommend storing your dyed parts separately and leaving them on a test figure for a week before adding them to a figure you don't want ruined.

I agree Vicious. The tan strap Valkyrie looks better to me with the standard eyes. I like the red visor one on the black strap lady. I love the paint deco on that tan Valkyrie. I am going to paint the tan weapons sone gun metal on most of the gun and leave some tan accents. I might get brave and pop a torso to dremel. I’m realizing most ladies in Classified have the same issue. May just live with it.

We’re in trubble as I think the Classified bubble is going to burst.

It’s okay I’m pretty much done with BS and ML. No new Legion preorders and limiting NECA. I’m riding the Joe tidal wave.

Thwipp!

I got an e-mail the Trouble Bubble is coming as well.  I'm really excited about this set.  I had 2 pre ordered, but I ended up cancelling 1. So, now I am just getting one for the time being.  But I may end up getting a second at some point.

I cancelled the other one just because, damn!  All kinds of stuff from Hasbro and other companies are just all piling in and shipping right now.  Needed to knock some money off somewhere.

Got my Valkyries today and I really like them.

I would likely be in for a second set, but they seem to be "sold out" for the time being...

Late returning here, but I echo the sentiments about this line. ARAH was a huge fave of mine as a kid, up thru probably '88. Getting Torpedo and Copperhead a few weeks back was like some kind of dream.  Just the peak of nostalgia combined with toy collector joy.

Just got my Valkyries, Trubble Bubbles inbound.  Had to take a break from catching up here and PO the Steel Brigade set and Crimson Viper.  Then I checked my WalMart preorders -- had totally forgotten about Shooter, Mole Rats, and Crimson Alley Viper!

In other news, I will be signing my house over to Hasbro later this month....

Love my Valkyries!  Wish they had the goggles that the males did, but the blast effects more than make up for that.  I'll probably try the men's goggles and see if they fit.  The limited range on the waist ball and diaphragm are a bummer, but otherwise a stellar release.

Hopefully you have Big Ben and Range Viper PO'd somewhere, too!

I got my Valkyries and Eels in on Friday. Eels are awesome. I didn't have any QC issues besides the usual bent weapons. it's been fun posing them around.

As for the Valkyries, like I said above I was planning on painting the tan black but I have to agree with vicious and prophet. The Tan has really grown on me. its a nice contrast to the rest of the suit and makes the details pop. it's kind of the same reason I like desert commando snake eyes. its really the guns being the tan I don't like. They should have made them a different tan color or black. With Desert Snake Eyes the tan on his weapon is different then his body and has some brown details to them. When I get the Snow Serpents they might be donating some of their weapons to the Valkyries. Since they share the same load out.

Trouble Bubble this week, Snow Job the following and then the week after that I'm hoping to finally get Mindbender but I wouldn't be shocked if he gets pushed back again.

Trouble Bubble shipped, and got an email from BBTS that Snow Serpent and Tunnel Rat will arrive soon.

Now if I could just track down some Eels...

I haven't been charged yet for the Trouble Bubble. I wouldn't be shocked if they wait till Snow Job comes out next week. I did get Low Light, Nunchuk, Grunt and the Crimson Viper yesterday. Low Light might be my favorite of the year. he's been a lot of fun to pose. he defiantly has the best face sculpt this year. Grunt is good I didn't find the face sculpt as bad in person. The M-16 might be one of my favorite guns in the line. The control pad is a little flimsy. It wouldn't take much to rip it off. Crimson Viper is good. I like him more then I thought I was going to. The hips seem better then previous version. not great but better. Nunchuk is ok. I thought I was going to like him more then I do. I was really looking forward to him. I had the original.  But the dark grey is dark enough and their is not a lot of contrast with the green. I know he is the Storm Shadow buck but he seems kind of small especially compared to grunt. the Sword and Claws are great. But the nunchuks are a bit small and just don't seem right with being straight. I would have preferred an actual chain or have them posed like Shang Chi's. Don't get me wrong hes not terrible by any means. He's not Falcon. Just a bit of let down.
