Yeah, it's just so BORING visually, it doesn't spark any joy whatsoever. I'm sure there are some who want that kind of thing but not me, it's just a big, dumb SUV, a no-funvee.
I'm still trying to figure out with how big it is why didn't they put more room in the back so the figures don't have to crouch down so much. I'll be able to two vamps or four trouble bubbles for roughly the same price.
I'm wondering since it's based of a real world design owned by Rezvani if there is only so much visual alterations they are allowed to do.
I mean, it's not like anyone made him team up with a company that makes security vehicles for city streets.
In related news, I watched the recent Dan Who interview with Emily and Lenny, and Lenny commented on how they try to keep in mind the average shelf size when planning their vehicles and playsets. The estimate he tossed out, though, 16" deep, is about half a foot deeper than my Billy Bookcases.
Now the HISS Tank fits perfectly in profile, but I already know the Dragonfly is going to hang over by a couple inches. I also recall Ramen Toys are making their MUSK playset 16" deep, with ACE saying he thought that was just the standard.
Just something interesting I'll need to keep in mind.

It's that much bigger than a HISS, which simply makes it incompatible with this line.
I already mentioned in the Vala thread how the height seemed too high. Vala's description says over 20" long. Rezvani's website shows the military version is 185" long. Doesn't that put Vala's version closer to 1/9 scale? A true 1/12 version would be around 15.4"? Someone tell me I'm wrong, I don't mind (I'm assuming there isn't more than one real life military version that happens to be bigger). Not a Vala hater, I think I have around twenty of his figures.
One of the more "interesting" reasons I heard for the closeness in size to the Haslab was due to the HISS being a smaller sized tank. It's a High Speed Sentry, therefore small.
Third world soccer mom SUV doesn't scream buy for me. It's a silly design.
I've always wanted to devote a massive amount of my shelf-space to accurate representation of the lady that cut me off on the highway while doing her make-up.
I also watched the Dan Who interview with the Joe team. Really like those two - they seem like decent people. But unfortunately, they are my mortal enemies until they give me a fixed, accurate version of Ninja Force Storm Shadow.
Wow, so instead of a cool, wacky toy design, I can get a (somewhat) mini representation of a civilian APC for the violently rich. Awesome, love this dystopian capitalism for Snake Eyes.
What exactly is the market for this? It's a boring, ugly design that's not in scale with the more toyetic vehicles from the line it's trying to big time. Do people need toys for their doomsday bunkers?
I haven't gotten a new Joe since 1/15. Probably one of the longest stretches since summer almost has me thinking about PP Copperhead.

This post just had me picturing a real life Cobra Commander driving one cutting people off in traffic while screaming into his cell phone at someone. I have zero interest in the toy but I can't help laughing at how CC has violently rich Karen vibes to him in the right story.

It's a bummer that the launchers are sold separately. It's an even bigger bummer that the color doesn't seem to match the grey/blue vehicle and grey/blue launchers in the promo pictures.
