My Mutt & Junkyard arrived today from Pulse as well.  I haven't had time to open it yet, but I'm pretty psyched to (finally) have them.  At initial glance, Mutt looks great ... but Junkyard looks to be the main draw to the set.  I have to give Hasbro credit where its due ... they absolutely kill it with animals in this scale.

None of the Walmarts near me have gotten anything more recent than Shipwreck.  I don't even look hoping to find anything anymore.  BBTS thankfully has me covered on Classified.

Wow I didn't think it was that bad for you guys in the US.  At least you have lots of options, and lots of deals/sales/clearances.

I am pretty sure I would be happy to trade with you guys.  You can have our pricing (works out to $27US regular retail and goes up from there), and lack of any regular worthwhile sales/clearances.   TRU recently had a 25% off sale, and Gamestop has the odd, super old, Classified figure show up on their $5 Friday sales.  However that is about it.  We don't get the sweet deals you guys do with Ollie's/Ross clearance pricing, or Target regular sales/clearances.  There has been the odd sale (Retro Destro comes to mind) where something gets clearanced, but even then he was $19Cdn.  Anything below $15 is pretty much non-existent.

And until recently we had to bend over and take it if we even considered ordering from Hasbro Pulse.  Though that is a bit better now that we can also get free shipping if we spend $75+US.  Although recent posts have said that Pulse might have switched to DHL for Canadian shipping and they have a poor track record up here for charging fees even though we have already paid all the taxes at checkout.

Us guys?  My closest Ollie's is a 10 hour trip, and that's a shorter trip than most Americans would need to take to get to their closest store.  I don't know about you but I think I'll pass on a 10 hour trip just to get an $8 Tomax.  There's some decent sales to get online but if you are trying to find sales locally some areas will be stacked and others will be terrible.  $27CAD sounds pretty good tbh, we're paying $25USD.  I remember seeing Canadian TRU vids where things were almost double US retail price, like $25 MLs for $45, now THAT is bad.

EDIT:  Sorry misread the info about $27USD vs $27CAD

To be fair, the 50% off deals are not reliable and tend to sell out quickly online or in big stores or as others have said the discount stores and few and far between and extremely erratic.  I pay full price online for all my Joes happily. I've gotten troop builders on discount once through Walmart.com because I happened to be looking at Fwoosh when I should have been working.

Yeah I pre order every figure in this line. I don't care if most will eventually show up at Ross or something, not all of them will and this figures are damn near import quality.

I have two Ollie's and four Ross in easy reach, and have never found anything Classified at any of them except SE movie stuff and a lone Zarana once.

Closest Target is nearly 2 hours away.  Salt in the wound!  Way easier to just order from BBTS and be done with it.  I hate going in stores anymore anyway.

Yeah, I don't think a lot of folks realize how lucky you have to be to find something good at Ollies and Ross (really, really lucky at Ross, in my experience). You can't count on hitting on the crazy deals at all, they almost always get scooped up by the first collector or reseller that walks through the doors (usually when they open).

The Croc Master I found this weekend was the first Classified item I saw all December and early January as they've been dumping toys onto the aisles like crazy. Ollies puts out more stock but it goes quick. Those $5 Dusty and Stalkers weren't around more than a day by me. Stuff like Crimson Guards gets bought up immediately.

For me, as will probably be the case with Mutt, your best bet is waiting for a more modest discount like when Amazon drops the deluxe stuff to $29.99 or whatever as demand catches up.
