I took a shot and ordered another Wolf Spider this morning.  Today's order says it's expected on 12/23 and my preorder says 2/3.  Arriving tomorrow is impossible unless they overnight CA to CT or they have him in NY or PA.

Whose bright idea was it to mold Shadow Tracker's pelvis in flesh tone?  This is the first thing I see opening the box:

EDIT:  Nice fig but as a fan of the original, I really miss the camo pants and there's no reason why they shouldn't have cut out the eyes on the yellow translucent mask to match the PoC original figure.

He wears a g-string for combat. lighter/less weight when tracking.

Apparently, not only does he track them, but he can cast a mean shadow as well.  🙃

Speaking of the ab issue though - I picked up an extra Tiger Force Flint with the Target discount to pull his overlay off. the color of his shirt is inconsistent underneath (the sleeves and shoulders are darker than the abs/chest) but honestly, removing the vest makes him a more dynamic action figure. Reckon I might do this to more characters if I can find one deeply discounted. The vests add a lot of detail so I don't dislike 'em but that ab crunch hidden underneath makes a world of difference when it can move in terms of posability.

I did the same thing to my original Flint. I cut it so I could take it on and off. It really does make a huge difference. Makes it even flexible with the vest on.

How did you cut his vest? That sounds like an ideal way to improve the figure without sacrificing the vest.

Walmart really did ship the Wolf Spider I ordered this morning while my day 1 preorder is still preparing for Feb 3.  This figure is coming from Indiana via FedEx rather than the odd shipping company from California when Shadow Tracker shipped.  What did Walmart run out of Spiders in California and refuse to ship from another location?  It's like they want to get you to pay for the shipping.

I've  now done it for both (got a steal of a deal on an extra original flint figure). I'm sure they'll release him looking more like the old school figure eventually but cutting off the vest just makes him more fun overall.

I don't know that my technique is clean enough for everyone, but I just razored a single slit on the front starting at the top of the armor next to the shoulder strap straight down to his waist. I can still slip the vest back on if I want to but it's not perfect (hence why I picked up a second figure, wanted to have both options).

I just cut the right side of vest and the right shoulder strap. that makes it able to be taken on and off by sliding it off to the left. It's not necessarily a clean way of doing it but it works for my purposes.

Mutt and Junkyard just shipped for me on Amazon and should be here Thursday. Another early drop that I was not expecting until the new year.

How are you guys feeling about Wolf Spider?  Aside from the orange on his helmet being very faint with poor coverage compared to the promo pics (they FOOLED me, Jerry!), I'm blown away by how good this guy looks.  I swapped that shotgun out for a valaverse SMG and am really digging how he looks on the shelf.  Flint shotgun's grip for the barrel is just way too big for average Classified gun-holding hands and I don't want to stretch the thing out and ruin the plastic.  He should have come with a silenced pistol, so I gave him one of those as well.  The only thing left is to get him some proper cord, enough to rappel, not the tiny amount they gave him.  So...I guess he's a great figure with a bunch of junky accessories, lol.  I hope they retire Falcon's shotgun and backpack, they're just so goofy.  Overall I'd say he exceeded my expectations.  The drop-down NVGs are painted so well, and his color scheme overall is just really sleek and modern.  One of the better-looking Joes; he might be too cool for the Joes, maybe he'd fit in better with Cobra!

@vicious7171 I got him today & I'm mostly impressed with him, but agree that the shotgun kinda sucks.  But he's otherwise a really cool looking figure that I'm glad Walmart was kind enough to ship out.  These exclusive figures still give be heartburn.

@fuzzybluedemon yeah it's such a fiddly gun.  way too easy to lose the stock pieces (even just leaving the shotgun on my desk, i came back and it was in pieces, lol!).  For a line where the weapons often shine, Wolf Spider really got the shaft.  You got a night ops specialist with NVGs using a unsuppressed shotgun and pistol.  I mean, if they're going to slack on anything, I'd choose guns since they're easier to replace, but there's many better pieces out there, it's so odd to give him such random weapons.

@leor Just checked my status on Mutt and it says Jan 16, but I think that's still earlier than originally announced. Wouldn't mind him shipping sooner, one of those figures I've most looked forward to in this line and they are doing such a great job with the animal figures.

Yeah, Pulse has them listed as shipping in April 2024. So it kinda threw off my budget planning when Amazon said they shipped. Right now tracking says that Mutt and Junkyard are at the shipping depot an hour away from me.

Picked up my HISS tank today- toy of the year, hands down. This thing is amazing, so much little detail throughout. I’m cheap af, and I didn’t even feel bad about how much it cost. This toy is so good, it made me want to sell my other collections so I could have a place to showcase more GI Joe vehicles.
