(First post on the new forums - hopefully I didn't goof anything up.)

Just want to echo the chorus of folks really digging the retro carded Snake Eyes - less is more really is the right way to phrase it. he's so simple but that simplicity makes him pop. I'll always like the knight's visor look best, but this is the one that feels closest to the original figure so far, I think.

@theknightdamien I think the red blast effects for the steel corps is supposed to represent laser blast like in the cartoon. its the same thing with the fire team they come with blue effects to represent it. it's one of the reasons I'm going to cancel my Fire team. I don't like it either.

as far the numbering I'm guessing 96,97,98 are the last target exclusives for the year. we saw the digital renders for copper head and the trooper. There is one more item we haven't seen that is at figure and pet price point ($44.99).I'm sure we will see it at the target geek out on the 15th when Hasbro announces all of its stuff.

which leaves us with 102-108. five of these are for the next wave (Hawk, Helix, Buzzer, Ripper, Shockwave). The other two are probably the remaining Walmart exclusives if Wolf Spider is 109. Shadow Tracker and a unrevealed Joe repaint.

I'm still hoping to see Mutt and Junkyard before the end of the year and I think we will see the SMS to go with the HISS.

I picked up Desert Snake Eyes. I like him a lot more then I thought I was going to. its Snake Eyes their isn't a bad figure for him.

And here are the links for Big Ben and the Range Vipers. With the release date coming soon hopefully we see restocks

As much as I don't want 9 million versions of the same character, it's hard when they all come out so cool looking.

Yup ... same here.  I also received the email mentioned above that my Eel (from Pulse) would be shipping soon.

Hell, if Wolf Spider had an unmasked head, I'd plan to get him too but he's just too generic as things stand.

This is an interesting thought to me.   I literally have SO many extra heads floating around from all sorts of different lines that if I ever want an unmasked head for anyone -  especially someone with no established unmasked look -  there are so many options that the failure to pack one in wouldn't cross my mind as a barrier to purchase.

I'm very excited for that Desert SE.  And according to his old file card, he's a real toy-maker's dream:  proficient in mountaineering, underwater demolition, desert, arctic, and jungle.  So yeah, bring on jungle SE, arctic SE, scuba SE, and mountain climber SE.

@panthercult Classified has been making it difficult though since all the new bucks have the small head ball joint.  It's much better for posing but renders most ML and early Classified heads useless (aside from modification, which isn't for everyone).  I do dig how many newer figures are coming with extra heads, it wasn't that long ago that none of the figures came with them.

My feelings exactly. ML mcu heads and lightning collection heads fit well with none to little modify.

@snake-eyes-8181  The Walmart.ca listing gives me zero hope. That's definitely a 'fool me once' situation. I don't even know anyone that's ever had a Walmart.ca pre-order for a collectible figure actually show up. And the likelihood those ever make it to physical stores, at least in this area, is crazy slim.

The laser thing makes sense, I guess. It's stupid though. Those blast effects don't look anything like laser blasts. Which, really, is kind of a stupid situation. Unless there's a licensing reason they can't (and there might be, for sure), making ACTUAL laser blast effects would be worthwhile if they could find a way to make them work with both Joes and Star Wars.
Either way, laser blasts would be cool and I'm down for that. But not just regular muzzle flash molded in red. That's dumb and just makes the display look weird with all the variant colors of effect piece. It's a minor complaint, I guess, and it's not like a bait-and-switch or anything. But still.. ew.

I finally got ahold of an Arctic BAT recently.  I really like his classic head with the 'polarized' visor, so I decided to order a Crimson BAT, to swap all the armor & cyclops head onto. Well Amazon just delivered him.  Reached into the box & felt the crinkle of a plastic tray...  Pulled it out to find Slimed Ray Stantz...

I think I may have figured out how to do this new forum look. I am such a creature of habit. I will have new to learn. I missed the Fwoosh.

I feel a toy-valanche coming in GI Joe. Pulse is shipping Valkyries and Eels. I bet Bubbles, Snow Serpents, and Snow Job are coming soon.

That sucks Fuzzy. I think in 2023 I’ve had more swaps from Amazon than Walmart or Target combined. Amazon replaced mine at their cost. I hope they take care of you too. The Arctic swap with Crimson BAT is a nice variation.

Thwipp!

Email tells me my Cobra girls 2 pack is delivered!  Snowjob, who was ordered at the same time, is preparing to ship.  I don't understand their shipping practices, but oh well, I guess.
