@theknightdamien I've actually seen pictures of Vala's figures with the ball snapped off. I haven't broke any, but some of the army builder female figures and even the heads included with the newest accessory packs were very worrisome, imo.
It's funny, I hadn't heard about the floppy Firefly issue but I noticed mine was a little loose - but I got two duds of the first-released Firefly with completely frozen hips, so I was actually like "hey, this guy can move!" and was actually relieved. I do find this line's one significant QC flaw is joints, either too loose or too tight. I ran into a lot of trouble with Vipers and BATs with joint issues early on. Noticed things have gotten better though with newer bucks.
My Firefly figure has zero QC issues. In fact, I don't think I've had a recent Classified figure with any QC issues. Early figures like the Viper and Flint have had some loose hips, but I think those are the only issues I've had.
loving the pics of Junkyard and mutt (mouth watering)
I'm regretting only buying 1 Shadow Tracker after all the qc issues lately. My Low Light did end up snapping in half when I tried the hot water method to loosen the waist. Luckily that's not a hard figure to replace.
Super pumped for Mutt and Junkyard. defiantly will be my figure of the year if they come in before the end of the year. This what I've been waiting for since they announced the figure and pet price point. Don't get me wrong love timber but Junk has been the pet I've been looking forward to the most
Also got Chuckles and Tripwire last week. Both are excellent. I think Chuckles has a better value for the price then Mindbender. With the announcement of the Iron Grenadiers I could see Voltar being the SDCC exclusive next year with Destro and the Despoiler being the pulse con exclusive.
I noticed Crimson Alley Viper was on Pulse again and he sold out before I could finish my post. Thankfully I got one because I haphazardly canceled my original Pulse preorder.
Crimson Alley Viper and Shooter are back up on pulse
Got them both ordered on Amazon. I always loved Mutt back in the day and can't wait to add him and Junkyard to the display. Iron Grenadier is cool, but I'm glad they gave him a specific name so I wasn't tempted to army build.
I know the goggles will cover it, and I don't intend on displaying Metal-Head without them, but I'm removing that stupid teardrop tattoo the second I get him.
Really looking forward to Mutt & Junkyard. Giving Mutt an assault rifle is a bit odd. Since he's got Junkyard's leash taking up one hand, his gun should be some more easily used with only one hand. Granted, I think we're starting to get plenty of extra weapons, so I'm sure I have something better to give him.
Metal Head also looks good, although I don't have much attachment to the character. I had his original figure, but he's just not someone I gave much thought.
@panthercult not to nitpick but Iron Grenadiers is just the faction he's associated with, he's an original character dating way back! sorry if you already know this, just felt like sharing. iron grenadiers are an entirely different character.
Love Mutt & Junkyard, must have!
I never liked the look of Metal Head with the stupid awkward looking rocket launcher strapped to his back and legs but... looking at the pics just now, the launcher kind of looks like various modern jetpack prototypes. Thinking of it that way, I like the design a lot more. If I ever get one, I think that's how I'll display him.
