Glenda is actually the one I'd want from that set too.
@schizm I think the dragonfly landed in December-ish? Late November? The plastic used for the head sculpts is... weird. It's almost soft-looking, not fully opaque, and there's been fair criticisms about their expressions. I don't hate 'em but I think the critiques are pretty fair compared to the the rest of the line. Ripcord and Crazylegs are the real offenders - personally I think the issue with the sculpt isn't really noticeable on Glenda and minimal on Wild Bill (the mustache and had kind offset it a bit). If you and @ru1977 would find it useful I can grab some closeup pics after work tonight and post 'em. It'd give me an excuse to pull them off the shelf actually.
I will say even though I do think the plastic is weird, I LIKE the figures. They just aren't as good as the main line, which is weird considering they were part of a premium package.
@docsilence yeah that IS weird. I didn't back it, but had I, I would have felt slighted a bit.
And no worries for me at least. I'd like Glenda but not for the prices she's going for on eBay currently. I don't know how likely a night force repaint is but I'll hold out for that.
I joined hisstank's forum to contribute to their wishlist/march madness thingie, and a very brief discussion started about the hooded CC figure before they ended it and said 'no political discussion, and hooded CC discussions are banned'.
So basically, thank you Fwoosh for letting us simply talk!
Targets has a sale going on for Road Pig and Raptor. Raptor’s price is ok. Not as good as his $10 clearance price but his current sale puts him at around $23 and some change.
As a noted skipper of the more outlandish figures like Raptor, Big Boa, the Mole Rats, and the two Cobra Las so far...
..I'm totally day one for that Crystal Ball, the dude looks mental in the best way. It's an excellent reimagining from the looks of it.
@aceofknaves right, I figured there was a reason for shutting such things down so hard. Another reason I'm very grateful for this forum.
I don't know about everyone else, but I kinda wonder if things are more chill here than other Joe collector forums is (I think) a lot of us weren't super intense collectors til Classified came along. I know for me, at least, I bought some stuff here and there but Classified was my first THIS IS FOR ME! Joe line as an adult, so I don't have any baggage. I'm just happy to have 'em.
Unrelated, I tried unsuccessfully to pop an extra Lady Jaye head and neck off to put on the Marine Sniper. Anyone done that and know if a) heat works to remove Jaye's neck and b) if the neck pegs are the same? I may just, y'know, use the Marine Sniper as Lady Jay in disguise with Flint since I like her overall mobility and kit than the retro Lady Jaye. If anyone is going to be able to mess with stage make up and wigs to look different, it's her, right?
For me, it’s sort of the opposite: I’ve been crazy into every single Joe line since 1983 (except Sigma Six, c’est la vie), so while I do want certain things more than others, I’m just tickled to get cool stuff from all over Joe in 6 inch with Classified. I’ve got some kind of attachment to pretty much anything they might tackle.
