I never had a Skyhawk but played with a friends before... And I think it's not a bad comparison. I feel like the firebat takes up less room, even with the wings not folded up. It's a really compact little plane. Is the Firebat around the size of a Skyhawk?
But it would be really interesting if they did a fuller, larger style firebat.
I'd be very tempted by a $150 Cobra Moray...would look fantastic with the Python Patrol figures they've released in the line. Boats are a hard sell though, looks kind of goofy in a display unless it's by itself. We do have all the figures on the box except the pilot:
Going into the Fanstream, is there a list somewheres of where we stand with current name reveals, renders and figure reveals?
I would 100% pick up a Moray and I really believe this line would provide some kind of clear base or stand for it to rest on to display properly because they seem to be VERY cognizant of the display factor. Kinda suspect they're gunshy about boats though.
if the goal is a big ticket item in the 250 plus range, then I want a Killer WHALE.
if it really floats, I’ll send cookies 🍪
@fletch The Full Force Podcast does a recap during each video/stream he does.
Going off his latest video here is where we are at:
Digital Renders:
(vehicles)
CLAW w/pilot
SNAKE Armour
AWE Striker
(standard figures)
MASS Device Breaker
Footloose, Blowtorch, FRAG Viper, Darklon (all supposedly part of the next wave)
Snake Eyes (v4), Sci-Fi, Monkeywrench and Night Viper (supposedly the wave after Footloose, etc)
(Retro)
Flint, Cover Girl, Tele-Viper
(Legacy/60th)
Firefighter
(deluxe/two pack offerings)
Law & Order
Snake Eyes w/Polar Bear
Slice & Dice
Joe/Cobra Divers
(name only)
Crystal Ball
I would imagine the Footloose wave will go up for preorder and have physical figures shown.
I would also guess that Law & Order might get reveal as physical figures, and same with the Firefighter.
The CLAW was revealed back around SDCC as a digital render so I would hope that it gets revealed as a physical toy this time as well.
Of course who knows for certain, but there should be a good number of physical figure reveals along with maybe a surprise or two and more name only reveals.
I don’t have the tools to post a picture here, but a picture of Crystal Ball with accessories is floating around.
1) he’s the mystery guy in the background of Nemesis Inmortal’s photos.
2) he looks like the Cthulhu mythos threw up on Alastair Crowley. He’s gloriously occult, satanic ectoplasm goo all over the place.
I absolutely love this evil wackiness, and I hope we are on track for more crazy supernatural monster stuff. Zombie-Viper is my #1 want after Battle Corps Cobra Commander, so I’m hopeful.
Kind of bummed we're only getting one 60th release, but at least it's a banger! I think two firemen is the way to go. I'm reminded of a SNES game I like a lot called The Ignition Factor. Gonna have to play that through again when these figures are starting to ship out.
I see the Joe team delayed the Fan Stream by a month. Likely the prototypes weren't done on time or got lost in the mail or something.
Thank you for the heads up. He is VERY cool, but like Nemesis Enforcer I appreciate the hell out of the design, but doesn't fit with what I'm doing on the shelf. Watch me figure that out by the time he's out tho
Here is a link to Toyhabits with a pic of the look for Crystal Ball. He also comes with some kind of energy sword.

I think this is the image kicking around for Crystal Ball? As long as they include his normal head too, I think going weird on him is a fun choice.
Huh. I think Crystal Ball might have gotten himself off my "easy pass" list and onto the "probably buy" list.
Ooh... that look for Crystal Ball is fun. Intrigued for sure.
I honestly don't think I care at all about the 60th Fireman figure... Maybe I'd pick it up on sale more as a background figure for a Legends display than as anything I'd mix with my Joes. They have their own specialized fire specialists... they don't need a guy from Engine 10 helping out.
The entire 60th Anniversary line would be so much more attractive to me if it came with less junk packed in and was just a regular priced figure. The extra $10 asking price for all of the extras in the box is a big turn off for me and barrier to me buying. In fact... the only Anniversary figures I've purchased to date are those I've been able to buy at the $25 price point or less.

They appear to have leaned heavily into the weird with him. The fangs on his regular head, the Cthulhu “psychic mask” and psychic weapons. It’s a little too far for my taste, for a genre that’s supposed to be a bit more grounded in the real world. It would be a fun idea for a different line, but for the Joes line the more supernatural stuff just doesn’t feel right. I know there’s a premise for it in the lore, but truthfully, the whole shift into “superpowers”, mild as they were, just took me out of army soldiers genre.
I get that.... but there's already a corner of the collection that goes that way - Serpentor and Nemesis Immortal - so he just gets to hang out in the "weird" corner with those dudes.
