They finally added a decent face sculpt on Flint.
To be fair. All render reveals so final image may vary. As Robo says, it’s when we get the plastic in grubby hands we can judge. I hope Flint’s look is like that Render. That dude was the heavy lifter for leadership in Sunbow.
Thwipp!
Having thought about it a bit more...
The original Flint was right at the point where Hasbro had it really dialed for me between classic look and futuristic update. Buuuut, the face did go a bit too far into the Robbie Rotten zone, so I can see myself getting the Retro version just for a better headsculpt to use on that otherwise excellent Classified body.
Same with Cover Girl, really. Fur-collared brown leather jacket and auburn hair is my definitive CG, buuuut I could be talked into getting the Retro version if there's a way to swap out the hair.
Wish Classified render reveal pics would list the character names. It's hard to tell who is who for the non-longtime fans.
Crank Case (AWE Striker driver)
Breaker (green outfit, bubble gum head)
Generic Joe and Cobra divers (I'm assuming)
Slice and Dice (red and purple ninjas)
Darklon (metal mask, green shirt, burgundy pants)
SNAKE armor
Cover Girl (sledge hammer babe)
Flint
Tele Viper
Thanks!
@yojoebro82 I didn't even notice the misspelling but the fact that they made a head for a specific joke / reference from the original cartoon is such a sign that the folks working on this line love this stuff. That's dedication.
See, I'm not fussed at all about displaying both Cover Girl figures - they look nothing alike different color hair, different jackets, different clothes - those are just going to be two totally different characters in my display for me. The Blond is going to be Code Name: Cover Girl - because let's face it, she looks more like what we'd expect a magazine cover model to look like and I'll just give the other version a different nickname.
I already named the Caucasian marine sniper 'Covergirl', going more for a spotter that covers the guys in the field than a model, so if I find this Covergirl on sale in November, she's likely gonna be 'Bombstrike' for me. I didn't get the original Classified Covergirl figure.

I mean... "Bombshell" is right there... OK, now I'm rethinking it... the blonde has to be Bombshell, right? The redhead gets to stay Cover Girl. But you make a good point, now I have to come up with something clever for my Sniper girls.
@panthercult heh heh, and that's the kind of thing that gets me sifting through all the post-RAH Joe lines. I also check characters from the Modern Warfare games who may fit. And yeah, Bombshell works really well.

Oo! I know. “Shooter”! Oh, wait….
How about “Sniper Girl”, or is that too spot on?
how about a public domain name: “Guerrilla Girl”?
Sightline was a contender for me. That was a sniper that was included with Ace and the Skystriker for one of the anniversary releases in 2015.
Knockout
"You think we call her Knockout because she's beautiful? Well, she is that, but not a single Joe can last more than a round in the ring with her. She may have the face of an angel, but she's got fists that were born on a heavy bag. I wouldn't want to get on her bad side."
@ibentmyman-thing Jesus. Is that you, Larry Hama?
I know! Sounds like it came right off a 80's file card!@ibentmyman-thing Jesus. Is that you, Larry Hama?
Shooter is actually not bad - on the nose was sort of G.I. Joe's thing sometimes - but I think it was already in use in the Joe univers
Sightline is really strong though.
I was trying to think of other related terms that could work as code names for a sniper since I bought more than one... Crosshairs and Barrel Roll are already used in Joe as well. Sharpshooter seems a little blunt, but maybe... Spin Drift, Deadeye, Cuckoo I dunno
