Retro CoverGirl, Flint and Tele-Viper look great.

Love the SNAKE. I don't need a figure to fit inside, so hopefully it's fully articulated as an autonomously robot type thing.

Darklon looks great.

Diver set is cool, not sure if I need it but I do like the bright and shiny colors.

Breaker is fine. I like the bubble head, he's still wearing too much torso stuff, especially if it's supposed to be more cartoon themed.

Slice and dice have some elements I might remove when I get them to streamline them some. My biggest issue is the lack of the "quilting" on Slice's helmet. That's such a part of his iconography (I assumed it was supposed to get across a fencing helmet feel that they couldn't do at that scale) that having it just be a plain silver faceplate is dull in comparison, and the fancier demon head doesn't make up for it.

And finally, I don't think the changes to the AWE Striker work. i am very aware that I'm probably super-anal about stuff like this, but Joe/Cobra vehicles have very specific silhouette and anything that breaks that pushes away from the point. It's supposed to be a combat dune buggy, low to the ground for stability and speed. With this one, the front end is higher than the wheels, and the third seat/extra roll bar area make it too chunky and top heavy. It frankly didn't need a seat for a gunner. And the gun itself lacks the personality of the original gun. A .50 caliber gun is impressive, but the silhouette of the original cannon was far more unique. Before, the AWE felt like a life support system/transportation for the gun, now the gun almost feels like an afterthought.

Yeah, if I have one complaint about that set it's the lack of mesh on Slice's mask. I'm overlooking it though, and it probably won't bother me too much when I get the figure. The second head I'm already planning a kitbash body to use it for, maybe incorporating the hate and drape next to Dice. I had to go hunt down the prototype images and sure enough, it was the plain faceplate there too. I just didn't notice, or ignored it.

Also, apparently we're getting a stream later this month. I assume they'll reveal the green shirt troop builder, Crystal Ball, and the red face BAT. If they include something akin to the IDW Crystal Ball's head with that figure, I will absolutely get him.

Eh, I'm not fussed on this wave at all. Yeah, happy to get Slice & Dice, and Darklon but the rest isn't doing it for me. I'm not army building Tele Vipers, I never cared for the cartoon Courtney look, and I'm content enough with the Breaker and Flint I already have.

Which leaves the AWE Striker and the more I look at it, the more I hate it. The smaller front wheels, while accurate to many types of buggy, look lame. And as for the extra seat, extended roll bar and even more weapons...it just ruins the simplicity of the original. It's the first Classified vehicle redo to really put my nose out of joint, every other one has been fire but this one looks like shit.

Love that they're making an AWE Striker but I feel like front wheels are too small in proportion.  Kind of what ibent said (funny to bring up the Gridiron Jungle Hound, since they'll no doubt make bigger wheels for the Striker, too).  Just curious about the shade of green they end up using, hope it doesn't clash with most Joes.  Little disappointed we didn't get something a little more creative like the Desert AWE Striker with the canopy, but whatever, I get why they'd play it safe.

Slice and Dice...stoked but missing the body stars and the fencing mask.  I hope the shoulder armor on Slice is removable but not holding my breath, it's probably like Zandar where they block shoulder movement.  I feel like there's a little too much black on Slice, but he still looks cool.  Just happy to get more Ninja Force.

Darklon isn't a figure I remember but a big Cobra baddie with a claymore, sure, I'm in.  I kept thinking this guy was Roadblock-size but he looks like he has Tomax legs so maybe not?  Here's hoping his upper ball joint is decent so he can do cool sword poses.

Diver two-pack is outstanding, the divers have been amazing so far so yeah I'll take a set of McDivers.  Wow the Cobra Diver has Wave One Duke's rifle!  I really like that rifle so this is an unexpected and welcome addition.

Where does Breaker's hose that attaches to his backpack go?  Is it like a "Beef House hot tub" situation?

@vicious7171 I'm guessing to his helmet. But now I have to look up what beef house hot tub is.

And with Slice, hey... maybe the mesh mask and star deco for a retro release?

Did they reveal the scale on the SNAKE armor? I'm on the road and having trouble finding if they did not not. Usually the only thing that gives me pause is size on thins cos I'm running out of space for larger items. (Normal lil guys I'm weak AF about not buying, but I can hold off on oversized stuff if I don't have a home for it).

I see where folks are coming from on the AWE Striker not being perfect but I'll just admit - it was the first vehicle I remember owning (I'm sure I had others, but that was the one my kid brain latched onto) so I'm a day one preorder on that. Crankcase isn't even a particularly cool character, but he drove that vehicle I loved as a kid and so he's really stuck with me.

And once again: I love that this line has embraced the 80s mustache. No hedging their bets adding beards, no cleaning up facial hair, just full on Magum PI soup catchers on every character who had one back then.

Flint and Cover Girl are my top wants though. I've got a running gag in my head that there's a Multijoe-iverse and the retros who look significantly different from the modernized ones, like Flint, Duke, Scarlett, etc., are basically time-hoppers. I've got Duke and Duke on the shelf near each other like "you're doing great, kid." Classic Flint is gonna be the same way for me, love that old movie star look on this upcoming one but also loved the scar over the eye charm of the first version. (Flint has always been my favorite non-Snake Eyes character, though, I can't turn down another variation.)

I think I'm in for everything revealed today except for Darklon.  Never cared for his character design.

I think the AWE Striker looks great.  I'm rather open-minded about most things though and don't mind changes or adjustments.  I love that this thing can carry 5 figures, which is an improvement over the VAMP.  Sounds like the rollbar and backseat are removable.   I think once this thing is seen in the flesh, naysayers will come around.  The VAMP wasn't fully embraced when revealed and then people started scrambling to get it once others got their's in hand.

I hope Darklon is just the tip of the spear for the oddball characters to start coming in.

These are pics to feast on for days.

SNAKE could be a sitting position Mech. Hmmm? Gotta be around 10” tall and pretty deep, 5”? I am really stoked for this! It’s one of those reveals that has you saying holy shit that’s going to be fun to own.

Thwipp!

They can still change up the front wheels of the awestriker to match the back I would think if enough noise is made about it. Not sure how far along production they are with it. Or just give us two extra pairs of big tires so we can swap back and forth between the small and big tires?

A.W.E. Striker with Crankcase

I will probably grab this. I don't love the smaller front wheels. It makes it look more like a go-cart than an elite military vehicle. Crankcase looks good and his accessories are great.

Cobra S.N.A.K.E. Battle Armor

I'm in for two. I don't care if it can hold a figure. What would the point of wearing a giant set of battle armor be if it didn't obscure and protect the wearer?

Breaker

Probably. I got Breaker with the R.A.M. but this one looks much better (less like Jake Gyllenhaal).

Diver's 2-Pack

I have to draw an arbitrary line somewhere, and I draw mine at the shore. No watery Joes for me. That may change because I just thought about how cool a detolf shelf with an aquatic background could look filled with swimming and diving figures.

Retro Series Cover Girl

I'll get her and kitbash with the first release. My original has a janky arm that won't stay on.

Retro Series Flint

Probably. I like the extra hands.

Retro Series Tele-Viper

Hard pass. I have two that came with the Trouble Bubble and I prefer the look and diversity of those.

Darklon

No connection. Pass

Cobra Ninjas, Slice & Dice

No idea who they are. Pass.

I’m planning on getting the lot. Basically two more years of all in then collecting will be lessened. I want two of SNAKE, AWE Strikers, Divers sets then one of rest.  I’ve seen the leaked picks and follow Full Force but even still the renders surprise me. Darklon looks way better than I expected. Renders. Sure can change. I really like the AWE Striker it’s not the same silhouette but it looks sleek/fast and packed with some options. SNAKE blows me away. All the figs look good. I’m excited!

Definitely getting all of those Retro Card figures.  They look fantastic!  I may also get the A.W.E. Striker and Breaker.

I love the characters Slice and Dice but I don't really like how that 2 pack looks.  They don't look enough like the old ARAH figures to me.  So, I'll wait for Retro Card versions on those two.

I know it’s not canon or story in books but Slice and Dice will be faction leaders of Night Creepers and Cobra red ninja. They’re basically new characters to me. I didn’t collect Ninja Force. Looking forward to them!

I keep saying I don't need modern Joe figures to be carbon copies of their 80's looks, but Tele Viper was my first GI Joe and I love the red letters across his goggles that this will be a pick up.  I also like Cover Girl.  I was not into Slice and Dice back in the day but they look nicely updated, I may pick them up.  I was never a Darklon fan and I'm still not.  That outfit was gaudy in 3.75" and it's gaudy in 6".  SNAKE armor looks awesome.  I'm guessing is oversized for 6" figures and is should really kick some @$$ displayed with vintage figures.
