I think Red Scream is my weirdest and most obscure want right now.

@ru1977 Honestly I only read the two tpbs, but this Hisstank article has a reading order that seems right. Pretty sure I stopped at TPB 3, because I dont recall the story from TPB 4.

KD- Iron Klaw especially would be pretty cool after all these years. GI joe Extreme reminds me of some of my toys, the McFarlane Wetworks figures. Somewhat related- I actually got to see a lot of old Image and McFarlane figures in package at Mile High Comics recently. I’d recommend the stop if you’re ever in Denver- it’s like a toy and comic museum. I was going to buy a figure from the old Gen 13 line, but honestly felt like it would be wrong to rob the exhibit.

Now that I have read some of the IDW stuff, two characters I didn't want figures of two days ago are now on my list. The IDW version of Serpentor and Crystal Ball were surprisingly disturbing and creepy.

@ru1977 Funny how comics do that. I mean, look a few pages back on the SAW Viper. A no name Cobra red shirt equivalent, made famous.

@spongyblue absolutely. He's by far the most.memorable no name in the entire run.

I've been thinking about that IDW Serpentor all damned day. Really bothered me, so I gotta really hand it to the writer.

I got a notification about Dial Tone that says he won't ship until 12/31/25. I haven't seen an accurate one of these messages from Pulse yet so I'm not convinced that wasn't supposed to be 1/31/25 instead, but who knows.

@docsilence my Dial Tone update from Pulse said 10/1/25, so not as bad as yours.

I haven’t read any comics, so I passed on Saw Viper. If I see it in person, maybe I’ll pick up.

Retailers up here (Amazon, Walmart Canada) are saying Feb. 1st for release.  So I imagine the 1/31/2025 is more likely.

@normdapito Do yourself a favor and do it. Just the right amount of 80's action movie DNA, super patriotism, and the over explaining dialog that only comic books and soap operas can get away with.

Got Alpine the other day.  I snoozed and loozed on the Walmart sale, but still got him at a discount elsewhere, luckily.  Really love this figure!  A lot more than I thought I would.

This is the first video I've seen of the Fans Hobby "Air Eagle".

The Air Eagle looks great — especially in its "alternate" mode and I thought the price was right until I tried to order one and was confronted with the $50 shipping charge. $140 is just too much these days when I'm 99% positive Hasbro will release its own soon enough.

It's really cool, though.

Also, Dial-Tone arrived to me from Amazon yesterday so he should definitely be close with other retailers. Oddly, he was shipped through USPS instead of Amazon delivery.

Dude... Amazon's "dynamic pricing" on this most recent wave of G.I. Joe figures is off the hook.   Amazon itself is currently selling Dial Tone for $34.99 -  that's not sold by someone else and fulfilled by Amazon, that's sold by Amazon itself.      I guess we should feel lucky that they are selling the SAW viper for the bargain price of $29.99.   Leatherneck is $34.88.

Not 100% sure why Amazon decided this was the wave they would go full scalper on -  it's a bit weird.

So... I was looking at that MCU Electro that went live for pre-sale today, and while it holds no interest for me as a Marvel figure I was wondering if - stripped of all the electric extras, there might not be the base for a decent Joe figure under there?    I'm definitely curious.   Not $35 curious.   But if this figure ever gets a significant sale price I might take a crack at him as a possible Joe recruit.
