Resolute had some KILLER redesigns. I just refreshed my memory of how they all looked and Duke, Scarlett, Snake Eyes, Firefly, Flint, some of the Cobra folks, it's almost like they hit the "busy but cool" design a lot of lines strive for but go too far with.

@vicious7171 I think one of the things that drew me to Sigma 6 was the fact that they tried something different with the look and figures. I think if any IP is gonna have legs, it's gotta step way outside the box every so often. I never watch the show attached to it, but the figures had a heavy "toyetic" feel to them as a weird hybrid of 12" and 3 3/4" figures. I have one lone Sigma 6 figure left having sold or given away all the others: v1 Storm Shadow. I was my first S6 purchase and damn does it fire on all cylinders. Plenty of accessories, a package that doubles as a weapons locker, and was relatively inexpensive at the time from what I remember.

I skipped Sigma Six because it overlapped with the 00’s new-sculpt o-ring line as well as the various vintage rerelease/retreads that also came out at that time, and I was in my 20s and just didn’t have the $$ or interest-bandwidth for a third contemporaneous Joe line in a different scale/style. That said: I’d absolutely be open to seeing what S6 designs might look like in Classified style. I remember not liking the proportions and “style” of the figures, but not necessarily disliking the actual designs.

Good Lord but I fell down a big IDW rabbit hole. A friend and I were talking about some of the cobra characters, particularly non-ARAH characters from other imaginings, and he mentioned Max Brooks (World War Z) wrote a series for IDW. I looked into that and basically after a few hours, I'd looked into a lot of their stuff from before Larry Hama did #155.5 for them. And it's funny how into other versions I'm getting. Serpentor as a self-help guru/cult leader is utterly fascinating, and I'm enjoying some of their takes on other villains as well. It won't replace Hama's Marvel run for me but still getting a lot out of it.

So now I found a version of Serpentor I want as a figure.

@spongyblue I loved the inclusion of soft goods.  I still use the vest from Flint on my She-Ra doll in my DP.  There were some really imaginative redesigns and some seriously loaded figures.  They certainly didn't phone it in with Sigma Six!  It really felt like a mix of old (soft goods) and new (modern designs/articulation), with a lot of spin on top of that.  I'm also still using those weapon lockers from the packaging.  Makes me laugh when Classified says it has "weapon lockers" and they're flimsy paper boxes.

@ru1977 Christos Gage and Mike Costa’s run on GI Joe: Cobra is one of my favorite comics, period.

@supreme_d Awesome. Well, let me ask... do you have recommendation on essential reading? I've seen a few articles on reading order and they seem a little contradictory.

@supreme_d I would actually love Classified versions of the G.I. Joe Extreme cast. Particularly Metalhead, but also Stone, Black Dragon, and Iron Klaw.

Are others still waiting to receive their Arctic BAT? Placed the preorder at BBTS when first possible but still listed as preorder. Am I out of luck?

I sure hope not. I have a couple ordered from BBTS as well. Entertainment Earth has a release date of May.

So I was weak willed and bought that Fans Hobby Sky Hawk last minute. Once it was discovered that you can revert it from its new look to its actual Sky Hawk look, I was sold. However I think I will keep it in its new look and just wait for Hasbro to actually release their Skyhawk. This Fans Hobby “Sky Eagle” will be the personal VTOL for General  Hawk in my collection.

It’s already available? I’m still waiting for TFSource to fulfill my PO.

@nightwolf From the YouTube reviews it really does look nice. I don’t have room either, but there’s  space under the bed so……

@normdapito Some YouTubers did reviews. I ordered mine from AliExpress. Might take a couple of weeks  to get here though.

@theknightdamien Ditto, lets fold those weird mofo's in the mix. No more redheaded step children in Joe. Lets get Sgt Savage while we're at it. And if they do Gaucho? 10 minute standing ovation.
