Bracing myself for mild disappointment with the Steel Brigade set.  I'm almost upset at myself for enabling Hasbro to sell us a figure with those terrible single-jointed-elbow arms that bend less than 90 degrees this late in the line.  Hate to see the return of hard vests that block ab crunch.

I hope I'm wrong and I dig this two-pack, but to me it just seems like they didn't try very hard, which is weird for the most iconic good guy Joe army builder.

hard webgear and single elbows sounds like bad news to me. Where did you hear of this?

well never got any grunts lol,  did get some range vipers like real early in the morning. Something told me to check and got a few. Then seen retro cg come and go . They had a 3rd party that had a few but I have a feeling it was the general release. Even so, I want more anyway or I can return that.

I spent way to much on marvel and  Joe's cause of target and ollies. Tried Ross and was a waste of time. I'm going to remain hopeful on finding cgs at ollies. And some more twins and stalkers.

Ended up ordering the shooter chick, figured even if she's night force and and we will be getting a general release version, I can use her for parts. I probably should cancel it and wait for her to come to the stores and hit clearance. I would only want this version for the body and gear.  I think I'm gonna cancel her. I skipped big Ben for the same reason. If he hits clearance, I'll get him for parts.

Also, I'm actually surprised the trubble bubble is still in stock. I grabbed 2 more the other day and got them. If these stay in stock my ass gonna end up buying a damn fleet.

Got my Range Viper last night and it's a fantastic figure, one of the best in the line, but unfortunately I ended up with one that was missing the drum in the grenade launcher. Everything was all sealed including the paper bag the accessories came in, and the drum just was not there. This is the first issue I've ever had with missing parts in a Hasbro product in my entire life, so I guess I've just been lucky.

Pretty bummed knowing that there is one figure in my 65+ Classified collection that is incomplete, and of course it's the only one I had to pay double MSRP for on the secondary market. I contacted Hasbro customer service, so I'm cautiously optimistic that they could send me a replacement drum, or the whole grenade launcher maybe. Fingers crossed.

@prophet

Is there anything better than playing with some great toys while the Bills blow out the Dolphins?  I think not.

@unclassified you can see the female has single-jointed elbows in all the product photos.  I believe they're Wave 1 Scarlett arms; it's hard to tell on the upper arms but the forearms look like Scarlett's.  As for the vest, it's conjecture.  StG does fantastic, dynamic poses for the toy photography but in all of the photos of the male Steel Brigade he's standing up straight, so I'm willing to bet the ab crunch doesn't work well.

(This picture in particular)

EDIT:  received the PP Ninja today, ugh, Target and their huge UPC stickers they place right on the front of the box!  I'm keeping all these gorgeous boxes so this is really annoying.  Not even gonna bother opening, going to wait to find one that won't have sticker residue on it.

I got a pack today.  The female has single joint elbows and the vests are rather hard, preventing crunch.  They do seem harder than Grunt's vest.  Also, Grunt's vest sits a little higher.  I can get one click of ab crunch with Grunt.  The Steel Brigade guy has almost no movement because his vest almost touches his belt line.

I don't expect a full crunch because I would imagine real life vests would limit movement.  Even 1/6 scale tactical vests when loaded up lessen movement.  Even more so when the figure had body armor or plate carriers underneath the tac vest.  I don't know how you can keep full mobility in toy form, unless you want to do away with vests.  Grunt seems like a nice tradeoff I didn't appreciate until I compared figures.

Playing with SB a little more.  If you slide the vest up and crunch, you get a smidge more forward bend.

thanks mrboshek.  it sounds like Flint, who can also squeeze a crunch in, although it looks unnatural in fit.  Grunt does it well but I think Range Viper is perfect.  It looks like he has one big vest but it's just because he has a chunky belt overlay and his vest comes down just low enough.  His ab articulation isn't hindered one bit.

I could have sworn amazon originally said November, but they bumped my not-Steel Brigade two pack up to this coming Monday!  See what I mean by things coming out so fast?

I swear, Hasbro must be doing this on purpose so we don't cancel pre-orders and/or bitch about things arriving late.  I've completely lost track of which figure is in which wave when they all show up within two months of eachother.  I don't even want to count how many I've bought in the past month.

Purposely put things out quick so people don't cancel? Yeah..... yeah I'd say that's a good strategy 🙂

Steel Corps land tomorrow. Thanks to Amazon I’m going to get to decide if I’m keeping my order for two packs on Pulse or play clearance chicken. I am excited to give them a look. I’ve seen a pic with the male figure being a bit short. I’m okay with the female being a bit restricted. Scarlet v1 had armor and these troopers are to be armored. Curious to see how well the jet packs plug in. Lately some backpack pegs are too short or thin so they come out easier than I’d like. Grunt’s pack bugs me. But dang I love the Steel Corps helmet that comes with Grunt. I also love that Classified version of the laser rifle Sunbow showed all the time.

It’s fun to have Joe faction troop builders. I can handle the “grave” mod.

Thwipp!

@yojoebro82 I mean to say that many people will pre-order everything and cancel things they change their mind on within a month of the release date.  Hasbro shipping things out two months early leaves these people with the option of either keeping the toy in their hands or go through the effort of returning them.  Which...99% of the time we're gonna just keep the plastic crack, lol

So, just to be sure, the Retro Carded Classified figures are always painted like/or closer to like the vintage 3.75" figures.  And at Pulse Con, they said there would be a Retro Card Snow Serpent, right?

So that Snow Serpent would be like the one we are getting as a deluxe figure, but would have blue straps, goggles, and boots instead of black so it was more like the vintage V.1 figure.  Correct?

Just trying to be sure, because if that the case, I really don't need the upcoming non retro card version. As I'd rather have what looks most like the vintage figure.

@supercamel-1982 Correct. I am also going to stand by for the retro version. I don’t know what difference to expect with the retro eels but I will likely get some of those too.

Welp, got an email overnight saying my three 11.99 Grunts that I ordered during that last drop have been 'delayed' from Wednesday to 10/16.

So, this being Target, I expect I'll not get those at all.
