While the Mauler is the best tank, I want the MOBAT because i) I want Steeler to finish out the OG gang; ii) it's smaller than the Mauler and space is becoming a real issue.

If it is the Mauler as the next Haslab I could see them including Steeler as one of the figures for the tier unlocks (Heavy Metal would obviously be the included driver).   I guess it would depend on what the plans are for the line and the MOBAT.   However even if they do the Mauler and have plans for the MOBAT later, it doesn't preclude them from including Steeler with the Mauler.   He has a couple of different looks between the toy, comic and cartoon.   So they can easily include one version in a Haslab and still have others for retail release.

Not sure how much bearing this has, but the MOBAT is rumored in the TF/GI Joe Crossovers line. It will transform into Optimus Prime. If that’s coming out, will that deter another MOBAT release in a different format? Maybe not since there was a Crossover HISS within the same time frame as the HasLab HISS…

Probably but who knows?

I would imagine that since they are technically different lines it wouldn't matter, but I would hope there is some cross brand communication to avoid such things if necessary.   Also the Haslab will be Classified scale (6") so I think it might not matter as much to the smaller scale of the TF Collaborative offerings.

I would just like to add, I really, really like the new packaging. Nice and compact, the only thing I really miss from the previous types is the unique art each character was provided but overall, this is definitely better and hopefully they'll stick with it from here.

That is really nice portrait delivery on that SAW Viper...   now.. how bad is the size disparity with other figures once you have him in hand?    I cancelled my pre-orders for the figure because I was concerned about how tiny he seemed.

Zandar and Leatherneck shipped from EE on Jan 8 by UPS scheduled to arrive this Friday.

The Steel Corps Commander & Twilight Guard 2-pack arrived today from EE. I'm liking these two more than I thought I would.

Zandar and Leatherneck actually arrived today. I'm really liking these two a whole heck of a lot. However Hasbro got the rank wrong for Leatherneck. He has E-7 chevrons on his collar and E-6 stripes on his right sleeve, lol.

@jayjonah I do love those bits of info I overlook and sometimes I think Classified needs a fact checker. I edited my previous post because I didn't recall ARAH Leatherneck's bracelet. I looked up the significance while I should be working 😉...It's a memorial bracelet?

Okay, so I'm finally getting figures that I don't need to apply shock oil to hips and waists, but now I can barely bend knees since the last retro card wave.

I found a Falcon/Quarrel on clearance during the time they were out of stock for around $35. Thought it was a good deal at the time. I also had one each from Pulse and Walmart preorders, but was too lazy to do a buy and return on the Walmart order.

@mrboshek After everything was said and done (not really done, I have to call them still about one of the refunds not going through), I don't blame you at all. It was a fun adventure but I had enough.

So, I didn't think about this at the time. But, retail stores all have this database of people that return stuff, when, and how much it was. And they have a limited number of times they let anyone return stuff each year. So you may have run into that. I know for sure Wal Mart tracks that stuff. Thats one reason they usually always ask for ID. So your name goes in the system.

The Walmart that I saw 30+ Falcon Quarry 2 packs whittled down to about 10 a few days ago at the $19.99 price. I am actually headed back there later for some shopping  and will be wondering how many are left.

@trunks3540 Possibly... but the real thing...

Spoiler
Just a long saga most people probably don't care enough to read about me returning Falcon/Quarrel sets

We have a trial thingie for something with Walmart that allowed me to have them come to my house to pick up the returns, so I thought hell yeah. I'm even saving on gas! I had three to return, three individual orders, then a fourth order with three more sets. Six sets total. I know. but also, I kinda had some pride in going so over the top here.

So the driver came at the very beginning of the four hour window and couldn't scan most of them. So she said "I'll just take them all and call my supervisor to get it taken care of." I had no idea how this process worked, and figured it would be like going to the store where they simply scan the barcode I got in an email, scan the item, then move on. But another driver came shortly after and I realized, no, each order has their own pickup person. So... I cursed quite a bit to myself. Because three of those orders were left outstanding, in that four hour window I had fifteen drivers show up hoping to do my returns for me. I made five calls to customer service, with two more since that day. I also have to make another as soon as I post this because they were able to figure out three of the returns but one is still pending.

but it completely cured me of my sale chasing and return addiction.

That was what I was afraid of.  Glad I just went to the store to return 'em.  The lady was polite even though she barely spoke english.  There was no line when I got there, but the line was about four-deep by the time I was done, lol.  Guy behind me was like, one foot behind me.  Some people have no sense of space, and those people often shop at Walmart.
