@canprime no it was Walmart US. I put in a preorder about a month and half ago. I'm across from Detroit so I was able to send them to my mailbox there. My original order from .ca I had to cancel. I lost my credit card and they wouldn't let me update to a new card. Big pain in the ass. I haven't seen them in store yet and I check a few times a week. Big Ben I do have coming from ca. sometime next week.

Yeah it was a nice score at TRU the other day. I still love the hunt and nothing beats finding them in store when you don't expect it. I never got my Snow Serpents from Gamestop. I don't know what is going on there. I know a bunch of people on Canadian Action Figure forum are still waiting on theirs.

Not sure if you ordered it but my Crimson Strike team is supposed to be delivered on Monday from GameStop

Ah good to know.  I have Big Ben and 2 Range Vipers on preorder with Walmart.ca so I was wondering.  I wish I was right across the border with the US, it would make it so much easier.  Being in Ottawa it is about an hour to get across the border, and most retailers worth their salt are at least an hour and a half away (Ollies) Target is even farther.  So it becomes too much of a hassle to go down for a day trip, and exchange, customs (if I get dinged coming back) and gas eat into most of the savings.

I know what you mean.  TRU just opened up a new location near me (5 minutes away) in an old Bed, Bath & Beyond store.  I went in and found the Arctic BAT right on the shelf after missing the initial release.  So it was fun.  I'm sure the same will go for the Snow Serpent, but I missed out on the mis-priced ones from Gamestop when they went up for preorder ($33 I think instead of $53).

I did preorder the Crimson Strike Team in store because I missed it on the site, so I'm good on that front.  I just wish I hadn't missed out on Chuckles.  I got stuck with errands and by the time I remembered to check he was already sold out.  So I'm hoping he magically comes back in stock sometime soon.  If not I'll have to hopefully wait for a regular retail version to be released.

Grunt's pack looks a little small but fits and matches colors well.  It also loosely holds Big Ben's AR.  It does seem like they forgot that Big Ben can't store his AR on his body anywhere, considering his belt has a spot for the magazine.  I like my Grunt better without his pack so it works out on my end.

As for getting these guys to stand, I really recommend the little disc stands from Figureslab on Amazon.

Great tips, thank you.  I actually made the trek to a Target about 30 min away yesterday and managed to get a $12 Grunt.  I'll try out that backpack ASAP.  I'll check out those stands as well!

The black arms look like another case of Televiper skin syndrome, but no one seems vocal about this.

The arms are black on the OG vintage figure, there's no conspiracy here.

I wouldn't be surprised if Chuckles still ends up showing up at Game Stop. I was able to preorder him through Pulse. But after getting Snow Job and the Snow Serpents. Him and Mindbender seem really light on accessories. Mindbender is a good figure but he was overpriced.

I'm actually pretty sure I sent you the link for the Artic Bat on Canadian Action Figure Forum. Glad you were able to snag them. I'm still hoping to grab one more for my display.

I hit up an Ollies for the first time when I picked my Range Vipers. It was cool but only SE movie figures and Lady Jaye (i'm working on a Canary Ann custom so that worked out). I'm going to try again next week. I want to find an extra Tomax and Xamot to replace my Crimson Strike Force weapons and sashes. I hate the gold. wish they would have based it on the 2nd boxset

Also Steel Corps two pack is in stock at CMD Store

So I had to believe the pricing for Grunt was some weird anomaly that Target would eventually realize was wrong, and have corrected promptly. But I found one myself for 11.99 or whatever it is, so I grabbed it, because how could you pass? Why is the price so low?

I didn't think I needed the desert SE but being my favorite character I picked one up anyway, and man, the colors REALLY pop. I'm not usually a desert gear fan but something about the earth tone and then the coppery highlights just make for a gorgeous figure. Makes me interested in an arctic Snake Eyes as well.

There are two curious things going on. First the price, which is weird for a brand new figure, specially since none of the other figures are discounted. Second is just how many Grunt's are showing up. Checking popfindr as soon as the first batch of 4 sold out at every store nearby a brand new batch of 4 appeared a day or two later. As far as I know they never have so many of any singular figure. Did they just order too many and are trying to clearance them out so they can reset the shelves for the Christmas stuff?

@docsilence he's really neat.  I wish they would have included the 00/original Snake Eyes Classified head, sculpted in tan with a big copper visor, since that head is more proportioned to this body, but that's the only thing I'd change (in addition to the one we got).  Well, that and a harder sheath, this one came bent and a couple weeks later it's still bent, even after heating and freezing multiple times.

I wonder which direction they'll take for Arctic SE.  I'd take an arctic camo repaint of the first SE (tired of the all-white arctic figures), but I think a repaint of Snow Job to match the 25th Anniversary Arctic Snake Eyes is a no-brainer!  Make it a Target exclusive or something.

Yes indeed, thanks for the link.  Always good to help a fellow Canadian (and Ontarian) out on the hunt.  Keep an eye out for other stuff at Ollie's as well.  I saw on some hunts that the SS86 Starscream is showing up for $15 and the Beast Wars reissues for cheap.  Also check out Ross if there is one nearby on your hunt.  Apparently Stalker and the Crimson Twins are showing up for under $9US as well.

I'm hoping Winners and Marshall's get a nice haul up here for the holiday season.  I wouldn't mind finding some Classified figs and MOTU (both Origins and Masterverse) for cheap.

As to Chuckles, I am hoping there is some stock somewhere that will get released elsewhere.  I find that a lot of the local (Canadian) e-tailers seem to be getting Pulse exclusive stuff more and more lately.  Mindbender was definitely a case of an exclusive/fancy packaging tax.   He was definitely overpriced, but that is what happens, and I'm sure he, like Chuckles, will get a regular retail release down the road, but with fewer accessories and standard packaging.   The question is do they do that with Serpentor as well, or do they release him in an alternate colour scheme?

Yeah DJC Collectibles (based in Ottawa like me) also has the Steel Corps 2-pack in stock as well, but I am willing to wait for a sale on them before biting.

Yessir, I thought retro Snake Eyes was all I really needed out of the character but the desert commando sure is tempting me.

It's because Grunt is showing up in single allotments of 4. When I bought my two the clerk had to pull them out of a sealed narrow box with only 4 figures of Grunt in it. The price discount on this figure must be a mistake by making it available earlier than it was supposed to be when the sale was going on. I was told by an employee that these weren't supposed to be on sale until October, after the current sale is over and some shipments arrived early. It's the main reason they keep them in the back and not put them out on the peg.

Cancelled all my Steel Corp two pack orders for now. I bought my 4 Grunts so I'm satisfied for Steel Corps figs until sometime next year when my wallet recovers.

All the grunts I found were out on the shelves.

I haven't asked for Grunt at my store but they have sold two.  Surprisingly, one figure at a time.  They might be limiting them to one figure or the collectors in my area aren't greedy.  I admit, I would've bought all four.

I asked at an out of town store and was told October 1, so of course that store sold three since I was there on Sunday.
