Sweet jeebus that's the Flint I've wanted all along. Do it like that first!

I'd been wondering what the Retro Cover Girl would look like. She's my favorite Joe, and while the current version is my preferred version, I am on the lookout for a better face sculpt.

I'm not sure I like these better, though. Certainly not for the effort to swap out the hair piece.

Yeah I have no BATS but am Batted out as well. But they also don't fit with my shelf canon anyway.

How do you mean? What's the shelf canon?

@docsilence I actually thought about using that body for Lady Jaye as well. I'd wanted to do that and have the camo marine head on Shooter, but ended up leaving Shooter as is and getting a second marine body so I could use both heads, AND just a regular Lady Jaye. If I get the green shirt, I will also want two for both damned heads!

@fletch I guess I lean more toward multinational terrorist organization than the sci-fi aspect of Cobra. So having a bunch of repaints of the Infantry and Officer figures (Fire team, python patrol, etc) makes sense to me because it's a bunch of guys with masks and helmets and I have given them all backstories and birth places, heh. But BATs never fit in for me as a kid, nor now I guess. They're neat! Just... can't make them work with what I'm doing. BATs and sportsball-jersey Bazooka.

Love what we’re seeing from these leaks. Televiper looks perfect, might even get one or two to open. Flint also looks fantastic, though I’m not sold on his face. I AM sold on Cover Girl’s hatless face though, even the smile works. I’ll buy a BAT to keep carded, but that clear chest plate makes me want one to open. Maybe he’s the prototype. I’ll take a green shirt, maybe two.

Sorry about the pic block from the actionfigurenews.ca site.   I am not on social media (IG, FB, X, etc.)  So I can't always find the easy pics right away.

Didn't realize the first go round that the Tele-Viper has different printing on the visors.  So three different heads?  Not sure I really want that many extra heads.  Give me one extra with the printing and skip the third head for other accessories.   Also I hope they have fixed the issue with the head/neck ball since there were quite a few reports of breakage with the Python Patrol release.

The Green Shirt will have the alternate white/black heads and hands to switch it up and make it easier to army build.

Still not feeling that Flint head.

BAT still looks great to me, but yeah it is getting harder and harder to justify more BATs in the collection.  Especially with me already having the Sunbow BAT from Super7.   Still I'll pick up at least one.

Just got SAW viper shipping soon notice from Pulse too but hilariously it says Shipping Soon: 12/30/2025. OOOKAY. I'm not in a rush, just kinda hilarious to me. Thinking it's a typo.

I wonder if the two Cover Girl heads have swappable hair and faces - that seems to be the way a lot of companies are going now. I'd love the staid face on the hat head with the long hair instead. Probably not the case, but I wouldn't hate it if they pulled a Zatara/Lady Jaye/Baroness bit with swappable hair.

@ru1977 Funny you mention Bazooka as not being one that works for you. I never liked his jersey look as a kid, thought it was weirdly out of place, but my own head canon for the Joes is that they are highly skilled rejects - this is an organization that can't even use standard US military chain of command and have Duke outranking pretty much everyone, so in my mind they're REALLY good at what they do and ABSOLUTELY can't fit in with a real military because they're incapable of regimented behavior, so of course the heavy ordinance himbo is wearing a football jersey. They gave up trying to get him to wear a real shirt ten years ago. "Just let him wear it and blow stuff up, trust us, it's easier..."

@docsilence Haw, as always your canon is brilliant. I would think, since GI Joe (Special Counter-Terrorist Unit Delta) is more or less Delta Force (like how one of their first missions was a helicopter accident like DF's operation eagle claw, where Snake Eyes was scarred), the non-regimented behavior you mention isn't too far fetched. Not that Delta Force are without structure and such, but they get to wear their hair and facial hair essentially how they want, etc, and are encouraged/trained to think and act more independently.

Also, wonderful use of 'himbo'.

Those Retro figures are perfect!  I love them all.  I didn't know a Retro BAT was coming soon.  I knew Cover Girl, Tele Viper, and Flint were announced and on Hiss Tank.  But I hadn't heard about BAT. I figured Hasbro would do a Retro Bat, but I didn't know it was literally being made.

Oof those retro leaks are amazing. Non-painted proto makes it appear that CG’s hair/hat are swappable to both heads. Flint is basically perfect.

And I may be the only one who digs the new Crystal Ball “cosplaying Count Orlok from the new Nosferatu” look, but I definitely dig it. I doubt he’s a *real* vampire, but I’d definitely be excited about an actual vampire in Classified.

Bring on Zombie-Viper!

I'm with you. But while I prefer my Joes to be contemporary military with modern tech, I let my Cobra have access to more advanced or experimental weapons, including one single BAT for field testing. In other words, Cobra gets all sorts of Trubble Bubbles and HISS tanks, while all my Joes can hope for are a couple jetpacks and a single laser trooper.

And @docsilence has the right of it. I'm not any kind of special forces, but I was assigned to an NSW unit with some SEALs back in my Navy days and they're not far from how you described. Not to cartoonish Joe levels, but there's a real sense of 'authority is given to the ones who earn it' along with 'I only care that the job gets done.'

My experience is that many of the main comic based Marvel Legends heads are a little too big for the Classified bodies - though not in every case...  the MCU heads are usually a closer fit.

And I happened to have both Quarrel and a SHIELD Agent lying around here and both of those female SHIELD heads are too big to work well on that Quarrel body.   They look a bit like bobble heads on there.     Star Wars Black heads might work but might be a touch small.    Too bad those three lines from the same company aren't actually the same scale.

In thinking about it the Valreia head from the Franklin/Valeria Legends 2-pack is on a smaller body and might fit on the Quarrel body better.   I don't have Valeria laying around,  but I did see someone say that set is down to $22 on Amazon right now, so might be worth a try?

I didn't have much success with the small handful of MCU figures I tried, like Ajak, Kate Bishop, and Yelena. I recently picked up Yelena at Ollie's and was surprised she kind of has a big noggin. Her head was possibly too large for the Shield female body, which was one of the reasons for buying her. Two from the comic side that are close to working with a Joe are Monet and the Target Widow. Even those have a ball socket too large for a Joe ball neck and Monet has the long hair restricting movement.

The green shirt offering has swappable head and neck for the two options. Nice touch. The green shirt could be Retro. It could be part of MASS subline. It could be something new. These leaks just show us factory pieces. I like that they are bringing this option. Seems there will be several Sunbow like offerings coming 2025. Perhaps Hasbro and Super 7 have decided to share that sandbox. MASS is as Sunbow as you can get.

I am the complete opposite. I want every and all variations of BATs. I will definitely buy one for keeping on card. I’m sure I’ll get two or four to take out of package. Bring on camo urban BAT with heavy machine gun. Bring on bright orange and red flame thrower BAT with fire effects. It is nice to see the blast and fire effects as well as the clear chest plates again. BATs are my favorite Cobra minions. I love the sci-fi aspect of Joes. They capture that multi-accessory which can stow on the figure which I prize most for GI Joe. They look very cool. I’m okay with seeing new as well but the classic BAT is great to me.

Love the pony tail hair style and ball cap alternate head for Cover Girl. Her buck does look like a good base for Lady Jay or Shooter. It will be interesting to see how she turns out. I also wonder if she is Retro. Did Emily say Retro when they did name only reveals in London? I’m wondering if she ties into MASS.

Flint looks great and interchangeable hands! Televiper looks fun for another option.

Thwipp!

All those reveals are great. Getting all of them. The weakest to me is the BAT. There’s simply too many of them at this point. I may pick up one for mib collection. Pretty soon Hasbro will probably give us a Cobra La BAT complete with insect arm pincers and wilderness growth oozing out of him.

Also some interesting coupon deals on Amazon right now. The two that stuck out to me are Mutt and Junyard set and Marine Sniper. After the coupon they both come out to less than $25. Not a bad deal. Picked up a another sniper for normal figure price basically.

As usual, all reveals are winners for me.  I love this line.
