If you are to believe Scott Neitlich, in his video, the small price gap between 3.75" Star Wars TVC and 6" Black Series is due to piece count and assembly, rather than the amount of plastic. It seems to be a common strike cited against 4" highly articulated figures. The guy with Mattel WWE said 4" isn't worth it because they'll be nearly the same price as an 6" Elite. Bobby Vala said 4" unlikely, "dead scale" and too close to the price of a 6" figure.
If I were going to cut costs in Classified, the most savings might be in a solid torso, kind of like Power Man. If it's going to be hidden under a large stiff vest, why does it need to be two pieces and articulate mid torso? Especially when most aren't intended to be removed. I'm not really suggesting that, btw.
A lot of mine are so tight in the torso that I never even try to turn them there, and they may as well not have that joint.
I opened my $10 Jinx from amazon today. She may very well be my last figure of 2024.
I like what they did with her to make her not a 100% carbon copy of the 1987 version. I like the sleeveless look and the tattoos. The alt head and the blindfold are nice. She has the curved toes which rear their ugly head on action figures every so often and do absolutely nothing aesthetically but functionally make it so that she is always one soft breeze away from falling over. She's a good figure but nothing crazy, over the top great. $10 was the right price for her.
I'd go so far as to say Jinx is probably my worst Classified of 2024. I do dig her unmasked head sculpt, although I question why they gave her such sticky soft rubber plastic hair. It's like what you'd expect from quarter capsule toy.
I got rid of her tattoos and repainted her chest and neck, and even with that done it's still a placeholder until the real Jinx is made.
For me it's mostly just articulation annoyances, the exposed arms and tats don't bother me. It's just like...from her waist to her head she's got all the articulation of a popsicle stick.
Just got the Image GI Joe Compendium of the 1st 50 issues of Hama's run for Christmas. I'm excited to start reading about a lot these characters I'd never heard of until Classified, not to mention the stories I know bits and pieces of. Sure I had the occasional issue, but it was impossible to get consecutive comics from any line in my area unless you subscribed direct from the companies, at least for a couple more years until comic stores started opening in droves.
Don't stop at 50. Do all. THIS I COMMAND!
Seconded. Some outstanding stuff in the first fifty but a lot more after that too.
Did these xcorpeo mods on both my new Night Creepers and it improved them a ton:

Bring on the Night Creeper Leader!
I grinded away some of the material on Quarrel's figure similar to the video, except I did not think about the waist piece like he shows at the end of his videos.
@spongyblue Oh, I plan to whenever it comes out. The 1st volume only came out in Oct, so no word on the 2nd yet.

By the end you will realize why the SAW Viper is the biggest bastard Cobra ever produced.
Guys, I need help identifying these pieces and to what toyline. I was straightening up where I sit and open stuff and found these. Any help would be gladly appreciated. Thanks. Hope you guys had a good holiday.
