@ru1977 How did I forget Stretcher? I have a list in my head of Joes who survived my childhood longer than most and Stretcher definitely made it longer than a lot of other guys who fell apart or broke or were lost. Love that guy. (We also need Doc's daughter I reckon.)
Nightforce Falcon and Quarrel 2pack back up on Walmart website for those still looking.
DAmazing has a little review of SAW Viper. Dude's tiny!
I think the armor and helmet had the factory maybe scale down or closer to true 1;12th scale. He’s a one off for me. I’ll get one to try.
Thwipp!
In the Black Hawk Down book, he said the Rangers would often have the little, skinny guys be SAW Gunners. I don't know how common that is though. My brother in law was a SAW gunner and he is pretty massive.
@detectivehoag his head looks too small for a short person, he's just small. He almost looks a scale smaller, like an MCU figure among Marvel Legends. Or a Cobra Island figure among modern scaled up figures like CI Firefly vs mainline Firefly, CI Trooper vs Crimson Guard, etc.
I think most people were expecting him to be larger than average. This just strikes me as a situation like the Steel Brigades where he's going to stick out in a bad way.
It's funny too - because, he's clearly objectively smaller, but even if he was the exact same size as a normal cobra trooper the bulky armor would have made him look smaller, so they doubled down and made it even worse.
I guess if you keep him off by himself it might not look so bad - or as vicious hinted, maybe keep him over with some of the earlier Cobra Island guys so he doesn't look quiet as tiny? Sigh.
Well, he is a "SAW" Viper (Small Ass Warrior Viper)
A little short for a Viper? Alsfa Viper
This figure being too small is somehow all Doc's fault.
Also, height aside, the helmet itself is missing the unique flared-out region underneath the visor that gives his head a distinctive silhouette. This is just a plain dome helmet.
