Just adding myself to the "all the Snake Eyes" list. Snake Eyes, Wolverine, apparently, Obi-Wan Kenobi--there's someone from almost every line I collect that I will never say no to a variant to. My current go-to is the one that came with the white Timber because I'm partial to the visor look but for some reason he was less loose/floppy than the two previous visored look iterations, but I still think 001 is my favorite overall.

@docsilence Good point. Obviously mine is Boba Fett.

It's funny how Snake Eyes is sooooooooo damned popular and he was the kinda throwaway, 'fine let's do one more but he has to be all black so we don't have to spend money on paint' figure of the bunch.

@ru1977 I'm convinced almost every 80s toy was a glorious mistake and I love it. Of course the guy they cheaped out on paint to save money is the most popular character!

Speaking of though, I think it's time to rotate my display SE (I usually always have one on my writing desk with Timber). I can never decide who to swap him out for. Maybe I'll be ridiculous and use the Fortnite one. (Yeah, I even bought THAT one, though I thought from the promo images his color palette was going to be more distinct with bluer pants and his mostly distinct for his ridiculous bandoleers and glued-in weapons, which are annoying.)

After checking pretty regularly, I finally came across Albert Pine at Target this morning. I can't wait to pair him with his old buddy Bazook. Their friendship was one of my fondest memories of the cartoon growing up.

@docsilence I don't think I was even aware of the fortnite Snake Eyes! I've never even played the game, but that figure looks pretty cool. Now I'm tempted to get the visor one with Timber though. Or at least his head to pop on the original visor figure...

Fortnite Snake Eyes is the often forgotten about SE. He’s got colorful weapons but his sidearm and knife are permanently stuck in their respective holster and knife sheath. A real head scratcher on why this decision was made.

However there is one Snake Eyes that’s probably even more forgotten about. Well it’s not really a figure but just the head. It’s the extra v2 visor head that came with the exclusive color change Zartan. This SE head is the only v2 SE head so far that is actually color accurate to the original v2 ARAH toy where the visor is painted dark grey, not black or silver. I think the Storm Shadow head was also slightly larger than the he’d released for the normal v1 classifieds version. That color change Zartan should have come with the chameleon.

Having gotten Retro Commando Snake, the only other versions I want are a v3 and that deliriously mad cartoon pop star look.

Got home and opened him. Alpine is dope. I’m using an extra backpack from the first edition of Gung Ho, which has enough clips to store all his gear. I’ve got the hooks clipped symmetrically on the sides of the pack and the grappling gun across the bottom. He can hold the machine gun and have the roped hook on his belt, which actually has plenty of loops for those hooks.

@leor Do you know if that visor fits on any/all of the other Snake Eyes bodies? I ended up with a duplicate of the SE who came with the gray version of Timber so I've actually got a spare Snake Eyes body I could pop that head on (which i have and always forget I have), kinda want to try it out.

@docsilence I’m not sure as I never opened my exclusive  Zartan. He’s just been hanging out inside his box on my display shelf. However the head should be the same as all the other visor SE heads. If you have any of those visor SE heads, try putting it on the Alpha Commandos SE(the one that came with grey Timber)body.

@ru1977 Now that I think about it, I actually think I was so amped to finally have an articulated Timber that when I spotted an extra set discounted somewhere I picked it up because I wanted to display both wolf faces. I'd forgotten that the alpha commando version with Timber did NOT have the knight style visor which threw me off since if I'm ever going to over-buy a version of Snake Eyes, it'd be ones with that look. Not that I don't really like the commando version though.

@docsilence I admit I wasn't as into Timber until I owned him, and now I absolutely display him in the front with pride. I have the more stoic face, but I know he's ready to turn fierce in an instant. He's a good boy, no question.

I saw the new Monster Force figures and the scientist looking guy... I was thinking wouldn't make a bad Dr. Venom, if I weren't too cheap to spend $30-something on a character I'm not super into. But man, I would really love if they started doing more comic figures. Just do a Scarface repaint of the trooper to start, work your way up to Venom and Kwinn, Billy, some Oktober Guard perhaps. I guess Baroness sorta counts as a comics-first character. Oh, and Kamakura right? And I already mentioned stuff like Red Scream in the other thread, but I'd think Plague Troopers would sell well.

I just opened Raptor who is a pretty incredible figure all around (even better when you get him for $11 like I did :). ). My one complaint is that the hole for the peg that his bird plus into is on the underside of his gauntlet (?) Yes, you can turn the gauntlet but there are feathers protruding from the side with the peg  so you can't really turn it around or the elbow won't bend.  Am I missing something?  Otherwise he's awesome.  This is the kind of updated stuff I want to see with the line.  Had this been a 6" version of his 1987 look I wouldn't have been as excited.

@yojoebro82 Turn the gauntlets so the red arrow on the gauntlet is pointing toward the top of his hand and the feathers are pointing up the side of his arm. That way the bird pegs in and should be upright when his arm is in "looking at his watch" position, and the arm retains full articulation. Hopefully that all made sense.
