Target had the IG two. I grabbed one of each. I think I may build a squad of eight 4 each. Pulse has a pair of each for me. I need to find some crazy ass MARS tech like big guns. I know it’s silly but Roadblocks original gun painted with some black/red/gold may be the ticket for some crazy ass gun for the IG. I got some gold gun mini gun attachments for the BATs. Did Jaks or Hasbro Fortnite come with any gold guns? I’ll have to dig.

I know it’s not like the original but I’m kind of hoping for a mech vulture similar to Silver Hawks companions to come with Voltar. I know there’s a miniature robotic Laser Beak toy out there from Michael Bay films. That in gold may fit with 1:12.

Darklon, IG, BATs, Metal Head, and a Voltar would be a sweet faction army for IG Destro. Maybe by end of 2025? I can put some gold on a Baroness and call it a day. Hell PD Destro gold head on an IG pretty much rounds it out if Hasbro doesn’t do IG Destro in 2025.

I love building new factions I have little knowledge of or I didn’t collect as kid.

Thwipp!

As I predicted and like previous NF, I have never seen the Falcon Quarrel two pack in any of the Walmarts I go to. They probably showed up but was sold out quick and obviously restocks never really happened. And also to those who haven’t bought the original Falcon but were holding off on buying him once you get the two pack to swap heads, start paying closer attention to where he is available for normal retail price.

I actually got a Falcon to swap the head on but decided I really preferred the NF version, so original Falcon is the first Classified figure I've gotten to keep (I've sold a few from sets where I only wanted the other figure) and turned around to sell. Everyone else I've gotten, I'm still excited to own, which is still a nice way to look at a collection.

Late to the party, but I grabbed the Recon Diver from Amazon the other day for 33 bucks (down from 44, which is down from 50). So, cheaper by a few bucks than regular price for the standard Joe figures and far cheaper than the Canadian MSRP on deluxe-type figures.

S'pretty good. I like it. Posing with all the gear on is pretty tough, but I expected that and I don't think it's readily avoidable if all the gear is going to be made of plastic. The figure looks great, though. All geared up he's a beast, and he poses fairly well stripped down a bit. I do continue to wish Classified would have more useful butterfly joints. I also continue to rather dislike the extended magazine sidearm for basically anyone (for a variety of both 'realistic' and 'aesthetic' reasons).
I really dig the rifle (smg? -- I can't tell if it's supposed to be an HK416 carbine derivative or something else entirely) and suppressor combo.

Still can't decide if I want Airborne for the more fun, classic color scheme or the generic paratrooper just because it's going to be a slightly more spruced up figure by comparison.

@theknightdamien I had the same thing about airborne vs halo jumper, but I never had Airborne as a kid and always wanted him. And when I found out they don't have the same head, that was that. Though I do have both now and don't regret it.

Love the Hit & Run energy from HALO Jumper with his green plastic skin tone.  The SEAL Diver looks incredibly clean and a real highlight of what's best about this line (good articulation, great detail, lots of accessories).  60th figures have been one of the best parts of Classified this year (which is pretty important because the mainline single-release figures have been few and far between!).

@ru1977  Yeah, they're both great-looking figures. When Airborne was first shown off I was sure I was going to get him. But I just never ended up going for it. Bearing in mind these guys are 36 dollars here. It's really gotten to the point where it's much easier to talk yourself out of a figure than it was 3-5 years ago. "Do I REALLY need this?" has become a more common refrain in my head, and I've been able to convince myself way more often than in years past to only get redos of stuff that was really important to me as a kid.

Unfortunately, the two most important figures in my collection as a kid as still eluding me. Hasbro refuses to apologize to me for Ninja Force Storm Shadow, and we've yet to get a Snake Eyes that really speaks to me. And still no Night Creeper Leader either. And yes, those were my favorites. In that order.

That's why I don't really have a worthwhile opinion on the strength of the mainline single-releases, like @vicious7171 is talking about. Honestly, I don't buy enough figures anymore to notice how things are year to year, comparatively. And I try to wait for sales, so I often don't even know if what I'm buying came out this year or not.

@vicious7171 i definitely agree about them being great, especially once I figured out how to assign them characters heh. But I would gladly take another wave of those.

@theknightdamien I totally get that, and won't fault you at all. I really went to town on Classified because I've been technically saving a lot of fun money the last year due to MCU releases being few and far between, and Black Series not doing a lot for me either. But normally, and going forward, I'll be way more choosey about which ones I get. I have my wishlist (Night Viper, Spearhead, IG Destro, etc), but I guess I'm counting on them not releasing that whole list in a six month span, heh.

And I did have a few on my list of ones I want that have been released strictly for Black Friday, two of which I was able to get from Amazon the other day.

but also, which Snake Eyes was your favorite? I guess, what's your ideal version, even if it's some amalgam version. I actually kinda preferred the original figure to the visor one just because I couldn't stand the outline of his lips on the mask. That, and the butterfly swords, are probably why the version 3 figure is also what I prefer to the visor one. But Classified did the visor version way better (also, thank you for not having Beach Head's lips as well).

The Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow stuff in the first hundred or so issues of the comic is still some of my all-time favorite comic plots. So I am pretty happy getting different versions of both. Even if they do a retro version 2 Storm Shadow with less samurai style, I'll be happy to keep this recent figure.

@ru1977  Aw man, Night Viper, Spearhead, and IG Destro are in my top ten. I'd be pretty excited if we could knock them all out in one year, let alone in six months.

I don't actually have a single favorite SE. I'm a fan of the character in general. But for this line I have a top 3 that are really the ones I'm interested in owning. v3, because that's the first Snake Eyes I ever owned and I was always a big fan of the look of that figure. Goofy as it is, v4 is super important to me because I had the 'Hall of Fame' version of that costume and I played with it SO much. And v5 is one I really want as well. I loved the Ninja Force storyline growing up, and it always infuriated me that the version of Snake Eyes in that run got one of the worst Joe figures of all time. Fucking T-CROTCH... in G.I. Joe? What the fuck. So that's almost a redemption thing for me to see that figure done again.

Of course, I was really into the cartoon. But I guess I never felt like Snake Eyes was handled well in the cartoon? I'd eventually like to get a figure of the cartoon visored look as well. Maybe on the Recon Diver body or something, since we really need that bodysuit look?

So yeah, just like with Wolverine -- there's a few versions that are all almost equally iconic/impactful for me, and I'd get all of them.

I honestly like the movie Snake Eyes figure. It looks really clean, like a ninja. I have the 02 SE as well and his chest is floppy and his waist looks weird. Plus he has alot going on. I may mess around with putting some stuff on the movie body and putting him in my display. His only downside is the generic sword and no guns. But i have extra guns and I can give him the other sword.

Damn. I’m really looking forward to that  radioactive Snake Eyes. Retro V1 in purple?  Effing legendary. Plus radioactive hands?  And a polar bear to fight. Only Boy George Snake Eyes will top this set. Oh and V3, V4, and Ninja Force SE are highly anticipated as well. Retro V2 is something that should be in the cards next year or 2026 hopefully.

Id take a series of snake eyes’s?…snake eyes… sis’s is…?

anyway,  I’m gonna need that anime colors snake eyes V2. Weird purple-grey body suit with the black highlights. Put it on a classic card please.

V3 snake eyes is mandatory.  My first snake eyes I actually owned. Also probably the most underrated look.  Bad asssery abounds with the twin butterfly swords and three link nunchaku.

I’ll Get V4 too…it’s cool in its own way, but it’s one of my least favorites looking back.

They have to redeem themselves and do a proper ninja force snake eyes and Scarlett.

I'm still aghast from 1993 when  they used

t-crotches…

the wide hips aren’t as egregious on Scarlett, but snake eyes should not look like he has post partum depression.

Honestly, me too... but I need my funds to replenish some before I wholeheartedly agree, heh.

I totally get that. Why I'm getting most of the versions, heh.

I think, stripping nostalgia and all that away, it's my favorite version. It's just really cool, and I believe I had the figure before seeing how he acquired the costume in the comics, and I'd already decided it was his ultimate, realized self. Unfortunately, he didn't wear it all that long, but that's true for the next two versions as well I think.

Goofy as it is, v4 is super important to me because I had the 'Hall of Fame' version of that costume and I played with it SO much.

It IS goofy, but I get it. It's not an awful suit really, but didn't fit with how I view him.

Right, that figure just sucks so much as a Joe that I never even really examined the design of it, so I imagine a Classified version would be pretty sweet.

I barely remember him in the cartoon. Just when he was partnered with Shipwreck. And the radioactive bit. And the zoom-in closeup of his visor in this episode:

peter simeti on X: "...that time Snake Eyes dressed as @BoyGeorge to make a quick escape #FlashbackFriday #gijoe <a class=https://t.co/tsWYd6NIJS" / X" data-ilt="1732559708580" />

I get that too. And probably am the same way with Wolverine. The brown suit will probably be the version I immediately picture of the character, since Secret Wars was my introduction to him and the X-men, then I tracked down back issues later. But yeah, I can appreciate how iconic other versions are.

You're right, and I waffled a bit when getting my first Snake Eyes because I kinda did like the movie one.

Thank you! I finally am getting Night Creeper.

I would have gotten him, Doc, and Hawk at Pulse but it only added up to $74-something. AND I then learned Hawk isn't even one of the selected items anyway. I almost got Hawk from an ebay seller but turns out he didn't actually have the figure in stock, so this is strike two. I'm worried I'm not meant to own him.

Chalk me up as liking ALL the Snake Eyes, movie included (although I don't include him in my display).  Sometimes I see the older SE figures from Classified being grouped in with like, Scarlett and Roadblock as characters that have been improved upon and are now those old versions are "bad" but I don't feel that way at all.  Sure, the plastic in the first all-black SE is junky and he's kind of a rubbery mess, but he's still ridiculously cool and can hold a pose.  Design-wise, I still think the early design with the visor is my favorite to date.  It's just, the Retro has much better quality plastic.  If they could do a 2.0 version of the first wave SE, I think they could make it amazing.
