Adventures in action figure collecting - we have RAMPANT porch pirates in our neighborhoods and the Tiger Paw arrived today while I was inside but on a call interviewing someone. Me sitting there literally watching the security camera out of the corner of my eye during the entire call like "don't you DARE this was hard to FIND I won't be able to REPLACE it"
(BTW, I detest having security cameras on my doors, but after we had a total of like ten packages stolen I was like it's either cameras or I Home Alone the porch with booby traps. A friend suggested I leave a box filled with used cat litter out for a few hours and see if they steal it.)
Gah... One Tiger Paw showed up as in stock and available for in store pick up at a store only about 12 miles away. But I don't think I'm going to have any time to get down there and pick it up today so I'm not sure I should pull the trigger.... I've been on the hunt for it for SO long, but I also feel like it might start to show up in greater quantities soon and I don't want to panic and have to cross town to grab it.
@docsilence dang, that sucks. maybe it would be best to have packages shipped, when possible, to a store like walgreens or similar? i've had my fedex packages shipped there when i was out of town. also, did i get the job?

He is bigger than I expected in person. Seeing the pics with Road Pig and Serpentor I thought he might seem undersized for who he is. However he is a big boy, the colours are great, and I think the wings are what really push his size up.
Can't wait to get him out of the package and pose him.

I took him out from the bottom so i can keep the Retro cardback of course.
Well found a hole in my schedule (OK, let's be honest - made a hole in my schedule) and went downtown to pick up the Tiger Paw. The box was beat to shit - but it was sealed, intact and the figure was there, unmolested. I dispose of the packaging anyway, so not a big deal - and at least I can stop hunting.
Who molests figures? You know what, I shouldn't even ask. I know there are some crazies out there.
Got the Tiger Paw before the porch pirates could get it and had a chance to open it up tonight. It really is a sign of how well designed this line is that I can get a 100% repaint and still love the thing. They really did a great job with this ATV base vehicle. Gonna have to stage some chace scenes with this and the Ferret.
I know nothing about Wreckage as a character but I've always liked the characters with the knit face mask look (I think htey just inspired more imagination as a kid) and I really like his color scheme. Kind of a "what if Firefly ended up on the right side). His helmet's a little too big and his silencer doesn't seem to want to fit on either gun, but that's fine. Knees and elbows are a bit stiff but they'll losen up, no frozen joints. Maybe it's cos the Tiger Paw was so long in tracking down but I just set it up on my office desk instead of elsewhere so he can hang out for a bit.
Hoping to get Nemesis Enforcer/Immortal tomorrow, I think?
Also, since Spearhead and Max got so much love in this thread - I'm sure it's somehow staged or something but "bobcat after boy saves him from fire" just showed up in my feed and I think someone just filmed Young Spearhead and Max in real life:

I have a safari folder "toystoget" that I save random links in for stuff I want or would buy/pre order...usually when there is a promo from a retailer. I think it was around 2am last Sunday I was awake and started going through it. had all the classified stuff that ended up on bbts in there even though I have em all. there was 1 vamp with substandard packaging so I snagged it. one corner was a bit crumpled. perhaps one of those packaging collectors returned it.
