Freaking Gridiron Studios .... They make one of the dumbest/coolest vehicles even more dumb and cool. Love it. It's such a great idea.

Warning, the gun placement could make this offensive to some.  😆

I'm OFFENDED!!!!!!!!!!!

"WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!"

Well now I want a Joe/Robotech crossover.   Thanks a lot Gridiron.

I missed the news about the bunker, too - they'll get me for a bunch of stuff if they start doing little sets like the bunker and bivouac. Those were so much fun as a kid.

For once I was able to fix the stuck joints - a bit of shock oil and then rinsing the excess oil away with hot water got some functional shoulders on her. Still not perfect, but I was pretty annoyed she was walking around like a weight lifter with arms permanently stuck at 45 degree angles.

OMG, I forgot they announced Footloose in all the other news! Gotta go zoom in to see the Pedro comp.

Curious about the lack of Classified stuff for Walmart this time around, too. It'll be too bad if they do away with Night Force cos they've been doing a wonderful job with those, but I can live without buying from Walmart on the regular, too.

@unclassified Personally I follow Preternia on socials - they were at the panel and usually have awesome coverage of stuff.

I'll look them up.on fb and youtube. Thanks  doc

I'll always be a V2 Snake Eyes guy, that's my "brown and gold Wolverine" hill, but I love V3 and V4 too, especially because those two survived childhood a loooooot longer than V1 and V2. And yeah, V3 was in a couple of comics that are eternal classics. V4 is a little silly but I mean, how much of Joe is inherently at least a little silly?

I found Mindbender deeply off-putting as a kid, but he makes me laugh now because - and I only realized this when I got the deluxe Classified figure - oh my god he's EXACTLY a few of my friends' types. Like I look at that figure and could rattle off names of good friends who would not be able to behave around a bald topless guy with a mustache and a monocle.

I've got enough Vipers at this point, but if the carded version has enough different in his paint job (I think he does?) in the same way the carded trooper does, I'll pick one up. At this point troops who feel like individual specialists make me happiest.

It's funny, I thiiiiink that Rock n Roll is almost all parts reuse, but it works so well to make him look like the classic version I'm sold. Think we'll ever get V2 with the ridiculous gatling guns?

I bought a rnr months ago from Walmart full price just to paint him . Now I guess he's going in the part bins haha

I'm in a real dilemma with my Joes.  They are now in their second home in my house after outgrowing the first and have outgrown those shelves too with no more room for expansion in that area.  Meanwhile the snipers, parachute guys, Falcon & Quarrel, and Starduster are sitting on my coffee table in a makeshift homeless camp and the Dragonfly looms in label created status.

A few years ago I could have never imagined this problematic bounty of 6" Joes but here it is.  It may be time to downsize Star Wars, which I have mostly stopped collecting.

I realized 1, 2, and 3 are all very special for me. The original, along with the Cobra Trooper, were my first, and only, Joe figures for a long time. Then my cousin gave me Zartan for my birthday, and I think that's all I had for a couple years, because around the time of the Alpine/Snow Serpent wave, my cousin traded me his entire Joe collection for a bunch of my comics, and I was off to Toys R Us probably that weekend heh. And by then, I upgraded to the V2 Snake Eyes so he was my main one for years, but I always disliked the lip outline. Part of me loves how they did that for the first movie, and how much I detest it. The third one had no lip lines and looked thoroughly badass. I also really loved the three issues of the comics where that suit was introduced, but it feels like he only wore it a few times before V4 came out, so part of me resents V4 for that heh.

Yeah, same!

This actually makes me appreciate him way more now... and I may have to get the retro figure.

Same here. I have a Valkyrie, the original basic trooper, an officer, the Python Patrol guy with the alternate head, and I've now ordered the fire team set. So I have a bunch of 'troopers' who all look different from each other, and giving them all names for my custom file cards and treating them as individuals reeeeeeeally puts me at ease, heh. The Viper officer is now a medic, and I'll have to see about this retro one if I feel the pull to buy him too much.

I hope so! Ridiculous in a good way! He's another one I wonder if they'll just use the same head or what.

Definitely where I went, and Marvel as well. It really got me to drill down on the figures I REALLY want to hold on to and bring me joy to have on the shelf, shedding a lot of the 'if I have that, I need to have this' characters.

Yeah it's getting close to Dragonfly time and space is limited.  Still very undecided if I want to hang it from the ceiling with toggle bolts, or have it touched down on the shelf with a lot of figures interacting with it.   Hanging from the ceiling saves space, looks exciting, and allows posing figures interacting with it like Raptor attacking or Snake Eyes hanging via the winch or maybe a grappling hook.  On the shelf, like they're in preparation stages, would allow a better view of the included figures but takes up way more space.

Is anyone planning on using the stickers?  I'm a little bummed this thing isn't arriving before the cold hits, I'd love to put a few on like the gold base sticker and the tiger force-esque teeth and seal them with spray.  Maybe I'll opt for water-soluble brush on like Mod Podge.  Can't stand the idea of the stickers peeling up and getting caked with dust on a toy this expensive.

@vicious7171 I'm envisioning hanging it from the ceiling with the parachute guys falling around it.  I'm just trying to come up with some sort of form to wrap the parachutes around so they stay billowed out like they would be catching the air.  A clear half circle plastic bowl would be perfect, but I can't seem to find anything like that.

@justice I was thinking the clear bowl idea, too.  Maybe I'll have to hit the dollar tree and walmart with the parachute in my pocket and try some on 🤣 we'll all have to compare notes on what works best.  I'm kind of bummed that none of the Dragonfly figures come with the 'chute, not even Rip Cord who comes with the HALO Jumper's backpack.

Side-note, the idea of parachuting and being attacked by Raptor is horrifying.  Who knew an accountant dressed like an owl could be so terrifying?

Guys, am I crazy? I could've sworn the viper 3 pack had a black guy, but his forearms or neck were white? Where is my brain getting this info?  Them vipers are put away at the moment so I can't check. But I remember being upset that one of the figures had half the wrong skin tone.i looked on YouTube and no one is mentioning it.

Yeah, but Raptor's not going to be out there. He's back at Cobra HQ working on the ARBCO financials ...

@unclassified it's the other way. One is black, the other only has caucasian neck. They both have the same forearms.

@ru1977 I wanted to test my theory about Mindbender being a few of my friends' type after posting this just for comedy's sake and I swear these were two actual reactions:
"Oh. Hello Daddy."
and
"I can fix him."

I'm like "he is literally a mind-controlling villain" and my thirsty-AF friends were like "bonus." I hang out with absolute degenerates but they are FUNNY degenerates.

@docsilence i really appreciate you testing that and sharing the results. You did it. You've convinced me to get his figure. Thank you for turning me around.

that's what I thought. No one from 2 years ago on YouTube were saying that. I just received a pack from Amazon. I needed to get free shipping on a 10 dollar paint touch up pen for a job so added one. This pack I just got was all correct. I'm thinking this pack must be a second run that sat at hasbro and wound up at Ross last year and someone put them up on Amazon to make profit. That's my theory.  I knew I remember something and as I'm looking at these I'm like wait a minute.
