The snake/reptile designations are generally (but not always) reserved for those direct agents of Cobra.
Firefly, and Major Bludd, were mercenaries employed by Cobra,, who became more mainstays in the organization. They already had established names for themselves.
Destro was an arms dealer, who sold to Cobra. He ambitiously took an interest in the organization, even scheming to take it over.
Zartan, is the man’s name.
Wild Weasel’s code name always puzzled me. Weasels are generally antagonistic towards snakes. It didn’t seem to make sense with the snake/reptile theme.
@spongyblue that would blow my mind. Also, how about the cast of Predator? I know they fudged some of their characters in the Pursuit line to be Predator character-ish.
Slight correction on my part, but there where early talks with Stallone about bringing the Rocky character over like they did with Sgt Slaughter. A few characters where mocked up, Big Boa I believe was supposed to be he nemesis. The deal fell through because I think Stallone went with Remco and the Rambo line. They just kept the Big Boa character. I think either character would be a hoot.

I ham-handed Raptor's arms up to 90 degrees out from his body, which is great. It hit some ratchet and went past it, which felt satisfying. But now I can't lower his arms again.
Just a little update on this, I was able to get his left arm back down by force but the mushroom peg on the right shoulder ball tore a bit getting the right arm down. I wasn't ever really able to "fix" the articulation, even after trimming, the arm was still stuck at a 90 degree angle until I forced it down. So, long story short, I wouldn't recommend forcing Raptor's arms up past where they are initially stuck. I only did it because he's new and easily replaceable.
If anyone has a Raptor who can freely lift his arms all the way up to the side, or has seen a mod to fix this issue on a new copy, I'd love to see/hear about it.

I don't follow professional boxing anymore, to be fair. I think it got too big and flashy for a while for me, and now I just think about all the damage my own body took from it and kinda wince when I see a fight (though a really realistically choreographed boxing match in a film will make me twitch in my seat out of reflex which is kinda my barometer for how visceral the stunt work is - does it make me want to keep my fists up?).
I do still have a heavy bag in my studio, though, that'll never go away. I need to hang a speed bag one of these days but I keep putting it off.

We sparred briefly in boot camp. Boxing gloves and then the pugil sticks. Man, softened or not, gloves still can knock you silly!
Finally scored a Tiger Paw. Saw one available at a closish store so I ordered it and got it! Only one was listed in stock so I figured it was a crap shoot but victory was mine. I really wanted one of these as a kid and the 25th era never gave us a straight Tiger Paw or the original Cobra version so this really scratches that itch. Not really a huge fan of these later subteam additions but I really like this figure so he stays. Firefly on this mold is one of my favorites figures in the line. I sold my TF Outback when the standard V.1 version was released but maybe I need to grab him again.

As for big boa, yeah he definitely packs them gloves with something, he's a cobra hahahI always assumed Big Boa's gloves were loaded. Remember when Buggs Bunny had horse shoes hidden in his gloves? In real life, early '80s, a trainer and boxer were accused of removing padding from the gloves. The gloves were confiscated after the fight leading to a trial and later prison time. IIRC, the gloves were the only known physical evidence at the time. Not his hand wraps which were formed with plaster similar to a cast for a broken bone.
I want to get a heavy bag or a tear drop water bag but I honestly have no room. Thought about hanging one outside but I'd prefer a roof and dont have one lol. my issue with using sw arms is the lack of bicep cut. Ml seem to be better .

Ok, now a joe update comment. Got my 2 tiger paws in the mail yesterday. Kept missing out on them local and online. Sale price ended yesterday, have a feeling these will be showing up. 1 or 2 stores had them yesterday in jersey but gone soon after. And soon after that the price went back up.
Ran to a store that sells target merch half off. Found a night creeper for 15 and grabbed a pp copper head for 13.99. Though I think I was charged 14.99 for both. Didn't get a receipt and the math seemed off. That's all for now.

Oh real fast. South Plainfield in jersey was one of the stores that got them. This would be the second time I seen them arrive in a weeks span. That might be good news. Wish this was the regular ferret. I'll get these on sale and I'll make ferrets since I doubt we are ever seeing them at retail and I won't pay what people want for them.
Got a shipment notice for my Quarrel/Falcon that I ordered from Walmart
Yeah... I got the Quarrel/Falcon shipping notice this morning as well. Still think it's a little weird there was no Classified offering as part of today's CollectorCon. There is a Super7 Joe figure - but nothing from this line. I guess that's a relief and money saved today.
I also got an email and text about Quarrel. Said it should be here tomorrow. We shall see. Definitely looking forward to it.
