@docsilence I opened the two pack and carded CC last night.  It was late and I set all three aside for when I have time to carefully loosen up their joints.  I didn't want to force the issue with CC's knee, Falcon's elbow, and Quarrel's hips especially since I just returned a WWE figure to Target after cracking an elbow.  That feeling of snapping action figure joints. Shivers.

Amazon unexpectedly dropped off my two Retro Troopers today. I’ll always take a more vibrant figure over a darker one. 

I feel bad demoting the Cobra Island versions to a box after how hard they were to get during Covid, but I just don’t have much use for them anymore. 

2 targets in jersey had tiger paws.amd solld out before the store opened. Guess they ordered to pick them up. I keep on missing them. I want a few more. 

As for retro troopers. Back in 2021 I didn't get many troopers and wasn't deep into the line. Last October thay all changed. I grabbed 10 of them troopers with ee's sale month back and saved alot. 

My starduster shipped, dragonfly is on its way out the door. 

So curious what Joe's will end up at Ross and ollies next? Ferret? Pp trubble bubbles? I have a feeling ferrets the blue ones will end up at Ross or ollies.

So I was just one Pulse and noticed that Starduster is now sold out.   I was on last week correcting a problem with my orders and he was still available then.   

I wonder if this is just a case of them shipping him out now and once they have settled that any remaining stock will be back up for order.  Or is this a case of "it's gone man."

Picked up Retro Stalker and Cobra Commander in the last week. Love them both but Cobra Commander is the standout simply because of that Chrome faceplate. You can see your own reflection in it!

I ham-handed Raptor's arms up to 90 degrees out from his body, which is great.  It hit some ratchet and went past it, which felt satisfying.  But now I can't lower his arms again. 

Looking closely, the bottom of his armpit, the ball joint of his shoulder, is getting stuck on the butterfly joint.  There's a big indent in one of his armpits where it was stuck against the butterfly joint, around the 45 degree mark.  I think the best advice is rotate his arms so his armpit disc is directed upwards, rather than straight down, and lift the arms from there.  Personally I'm going to cut into the butterfly disc because this is annoying.

Went and did some errands in the cold rain today and got rewarded with finding Alpine at Walmart. It’s fun getting a Joe figure who has some other posing options than just “different pose to gun down Cobra troops”

Road Pig's body in-hand is better than initial pictures made it seem. I'd still prefer a slightly different physique other than "powerlifter" but it's growing on me.

Belly tattoo was removed post-haste. Next up is sculpting him a card-art accurate head.

Starduster has taken flight, should land Thursday.

I was trying to figure out how I wanted to display Road Pig...  The crew cut heads look a little too football-lineman-drunk-after-a-game to me,  but the masked head is just a little too post-apocalyptic hellscape for my G.I. Joe stuff... so I ended up putting the mouthpiece over the closed mouth head and am rolling with that.

I might try to pick up a second one if it goes on discount and put the crazy masked head on it (minus all the tatoos) and slide it in among my MOTUC Space Mutants.

I am considering having his pooch defect and hang with Mutt.   Mutt seems like a guy who might collect strays.

Another thing I just noticed... of the Cobra hierarchy, none of them (Firefly, Zartan, Destro, Baroness, Wild Weasel, etc) have snake related names... except Copperhead. Is he the biggest schmuck in Cobra because he's the only one who is genuinely downing Cobra Commander's kool-aid?

Does Big Boa count?  I feel like he's the last person you'd want to call a schmuck.

@vicious7171 haw, I did completely forget about him. And you're probably right but... He still is one.

I mean Big Boa wears boxing gloves -  which are specifically designed not to damage your opponent.   How scary could he be, really?

I’m usually not a fan of Classified backpacks since they make everyone so back heavy, but of all the folks to not include one with, Alpine felt like one who needed one the most. 

I remembered that I had an extra Retro Recondo pack since I gave him TF Recondo’s gear. Colors match up decently and it overall looks pretty close to Alpine’s retro backpack. 

When I was a kid Big Boa's "boxing gloves" were only to lure people into a false sense of security. They were cushioned on the inside but the outside were made of metal, so you think you're getting a well-cushioned punch but you're getting the full dental treatment. Basically full-coverage brass knuckles.
